We keep bringing her all of our cases because she is reliable and consistently provides us with first-rate legal services. She is careful to read all of our paperwork, is well-prepared for each court appearance, and helps us understand what is happening in our cases. She charges reasonable fees and understands what her clients want. She is reachable at all hours and responds right away by email or phone call. She has scheduled appointments on nights and weekends so we don't have to miss work. My husband just had to hired her to go back to family court with his child's mother. We wouldn't use any other lawyer for our family and we highly recommend her.

Tara accommodated appointments on weekends and after standard work times. Her flexibility was greatly appreciated. The fee I paid was well worth it, although my ex-husband's lack of cooperation and failure to follow court orders caused an inordinate amount of time and money to correct. She was calm when dealing with difficult opposing attorneys and their client. She was sure to obtain my approval on each step of my case in advance and patiently made sure I understood everything that was happening. She always communicated with me, her attention to detail and commitment made the difference. I am thankful for the effort she devoted to ensuring my best interests were represented. I wholeheartedly recommend Attorney Chiarelli to anyone seeking legal assistance.

This lawyer was recommended to me by a friend who had FAR better service than I received. Just…read morebecause his wife was from war torn Ukraine, doesn't mean that my Canadian wife didn't merit some of this lawyer's precious time. Time and again, questions went unanswered. When I pressed him for answers, I got replies that were adversarial, telling me that he had other clients, not just my wife and I. He was happy to take my money, but didn't do much other than the initial filing. He never mentioned that I needed to provide my wife with an original Divorce Decree from my previous marriage, so that caused a delay after waiting 26 months (currently) for an IR1 marriage visa. We only found this out AFTER her immigration interview that took place on the East Coast of Canada, when my wife lived in Calgary (midwest). Due to this, we will miss ANOTHER Thanksgiving together, possibly Christmas, and the drive to bring her home - will be more difficult due to weather conditions. Keep your money, don't waste it on terrible service and a person who answers emails only when they feel like it. AVOID!

He also gave me incorrect information about required documents, which pushed my timeline back unnecessarily. He told me my case wouldn't be expedited even if I submitted a request -- yet when I submitted it myself, it was approved. He also insisted that NVC wouldn't move my case, but they did after I contacted them directly. When I politely asked why he never informed me about the required documents for the interview, he accused me of "just wanting someone to blame," and then hung up on me, which was completely uncalled for. I genuinely wish I had paid a little extra and gone with someone more knowledgeable and responsive.

I want to thank this firm thus far for guiding me to Chapter 7 after considering Chapter 13…read morethinking 13 was the only way. I'm a life long musician and was worried about losing all of my musical belongings. They assured me that my musical assets will be protected. While the case can't be filed until payment is made in full (it's just shy of $3k for my case, probably the normal), they gave me peace of mind that things won't tumble down on me prior to when I can pay them in full, and that there is plenty of time. $500 retainer paid, I'll probably be able to come up with the rest in the next 2-3 months hopefully. Paralegals seemed very competent from my observations which is very important and often overlooked in a law firm. I'm at the beginning phases of clearing up my financial mess, but I finally feel confident there's a way out that won't strip me of assets belonging to a craft I'm deeply involved with and care about. We'll see how things play out, but I feel very relieved thus far and my interactions with the firm were very positive. Read other reviews, my advice to meeting with any lawyer is going in with a clear head, despite what may be going on - sometimes life doesn't allow that though (like maybe an unexpected death in the family), but I've had months to process my feelings prior to making the appointment and knew what I was getting into. I get it can feel daunting if it's your first time seeing a lawyer, but they're there to help you. Just let them. There's still work to do, but I feel this firm can handle it. As far as a bankruptcy case, it makes total sense for them wanting to be paid in full before filing for you.

Unfortunately, my experience was deeply disheartening and disappointing. Instead of offering understanding, he was very cold. he told me, "Don't come in here with the tears," and "I don't think I can help you." He also mentioned his own family problems during the consultation and said the case could cost thousands of dollars without giving me a clear answer. When I asked for clarification, he cut me off with "Stop it." I left the office feeling hurt, confused, and unsupported. I understand that lawyers are busy and may face their own challenges, but clients deserve respect, empathy, and clear communication, especially when they are going through a stressful legal matter. It was one of the most discouraging and cold experiences I've had while seeking legal help. Needless to say he told me he'd get back to me and I haven't heard anything from him yet!
