I asked why they were the same size if I was trying to make them even? He said- why are you telling me this now? As if he'd never seen me before! After surgery they didn't drop into place as expected so he had to perform a second surgery at MY expense. Another 4k I believe in addition to the 8k I'd already paid. I was in a car accident shortly after the surgery and one of the wounds ruptured. He insisted we remove one implant and I walk around with one breast until it healed at which time I'd pay him again to replace it. I refused and called RI wound care. I was referred to a post mastectomy surgeon who did the repair for me with internal sutures and mesh. He said accident aside- I never could have healed due to the weight if the implant on the incision. I should have had internal mesh and sutures from the start. Additionally- the implant in my breast was NOT what was in my chart. When I brought it to Z's attention that I was supposed to be getting two different sizes he switched it out without documentation. If there was an issue or recall I'd have NEVER known. This would all have been palatable had he not spoken down to me the entire time and acted like he was a god doing me a huge favor by taking my money while I inconvenienced him. I'd suggest finding another surgeon.

Keloid scarring is irritating and erythematous. The scars are raised and thick. I would not recommend this doctor. He does not take the time to evaluate each patient properly, and his communication skills are inadequate. I waited to write this to see if my scars would heal over time, and they have not. Working with him was the worst decision I have made in the field of plastic surgery. There is more, as he did three procedures, but I will not go on. I wasted my money and am permanently scarred. The lack of communication left me feeling empty, uncared for, and cheated. Please! He really thought about his approach and took his time stitching both areas that were close to each other to minimalize the scarring. I remember him going back and forth from one side of the table to the other to really look at the area as he proceeded, he was meticulous. He also was very calming, talking to me as he worked. No one can detect the scar even after I point it out. About a year later, I had Moh's surgery again for a area on my nose. This time I needed a graft (gulp). Getting appointments with the practice has been notably smooth throughout my time with them; the staff is willing to work with you based on your needs and clinician availability. The use of the Healow medical app as a portal, and their fully integrated connectivity to electronic medical record systems, has given me peace of mind that all my instances of care are suitably connected in one place.
