Jocelyn is the real deal. I've been looking into microblading for quite some time and I've found my match! She was referred to me by a friend and it was easy to set up an appointment. She works diligently to make sure the time works best for you and to give you the best experience.
The first appointment lasts about 2 hours, give or take. You partner with her to discuss color and desired shape (pictures are helpful!) and she uses precision to map out your brows based on your current brow shape and the shape you desire... yes, these is a mathematical way to make your brows as close to "sisters" as possible! After that, she cleans the brow area and around to sterilize your brows, and then she applies a numbing cream, to ensure you have a comfortable experience with minimal pain.
Her customer service is bar-none! She checks to ensure you're comfortable, if there's pain she makes adjustments accordingly. She does a "first pass" which starts to outline the shape while filling with color, then she applies the brow tint to enhance the color. Then you move onto the "second pass", she again cleanses the area, applies numbing cream, and then gets back to work, fine tuning your brows to give you the optimal shape. After that, you get a little more tint which settles in, and then she wipes it clean to reveal your new and improved brows! If there are any changes you want to make, she'll work with you to help you achieve it.
I will say this, like any quality beauty service, it takes time to achieve your best brows, so be patient. The healing process takes about 10 - 14 days and everyone heals a bit differently. Jocelyn will thoroughly go over the after care routine and ways to make your brows heal the best. I tend to have oily skin, so I do what is referred to as "dry healing" for a few days then use a very thin layer Aquaphor or the Tina Davies after care solution once a day (generally in the morning), and my brows healed very well! I will say the 30-day touch up appointment really fine tunes your brows and adds more color, so it's a must! If any other microblading artist tells you otherwise, I wouldn't go with them. After your touch up, you'll go through the same 10 - 14 day healing process, and the voila, you'll be living your best brow life!
Knowing me, I'll be scheduling appointments every 6 months for touch-ups to keep my brows fresh! But you can do it annually. Remember, this is semi permanent makeup, and it's a less invasive version of a tattoo, so you want it right the first time.
