Update of my 2014 review - this time for pool work beyond weekly maintenance…read more We had the pool resurfaced, using PebbleTec's Pebble Brilliance stone/glass material. Because of delays in getting the pool refinished - by another company - we had to suspend service. Even so, our tech Jon came here during the work period to pour chlorine into the few feet of water we kept at the base of the pool to avoid the pool popping up from pressure. They didn't charge us a penny. The people in the office are kind and responsive.They tracked our payments and found that I overpaid them! So they're applying our credit towards the daily service fees. Yes daily. We hired Advanced Pools to come to our house daily to brush/adjust pH. The manufacturer requires the walls/floor brushed 3x a day for 3 days and 2x a day for the next 11. For the first 2 weeks, the pool pH had to be checked daily because the concrete used to apply the pebbles/glass is alkaline so the pool will frequently need muriatic acid. For the next 2 weeks the pool pH has to be checked 3x a week so acid can be added as needed. After that, the pool just needs service once a week, like normal. The pool surface has a 25 year warranty so while it's a huge pain to do this for the first month, we'll benefit from complying with the manufacturer's requirements. They also had to set up the pool, adding chemicals in the order the manufacturer required. Steve came to our house and took care of the pool as if it was his own! My husband brushed the pool before work and/or after work but Steve took care of the pool daily so we followed PebbleTec's instruction. He'll keep coming here to test pH to help ensure the water is balanced. Today is our one year wedding anniversary. Yesterday, Advanced Pool's tech Roger installed an LED pool light that has a variety of colors/light show cycles. This was my gift to my husband. Their gift to me was to install in time for our anniversary, using a reliable brand (Pentair) and product (Intellibrite - "the most energy-efficient LED light available"). I am SO GLAD I can count on them to protect our investment and to keep caring for us, which they have, for more than 25 years!

We have an older pool that began losing water and needed a professional. We called George in the…read moremorning and he came to look at the pool four hours later! Polite, professional, on time and knowledgeable; all things that a a rarity in the south Florida market. He detected an external leak at the fountain feature and recommended someone to fix it. But in the meantime the pool kept losing water even though the fountain had been turned off. George came back out two days later, dove into the pool for more tests and used sonic technology on the paver deck to locate a leak in the old main drain rubber hose. He was careful not to disturb any pavers that were not absolutely necessary to move. He also put in a temporary plug to stop the leaking until the pipe could be repaired. Best of all, I thought that because he came back twice he would charge again, but he did it all for the same $350. If you have a leak, do not hesitate to call Poseidon!

He also did just as he promised in every aspect. From honoring the price, to getting the parts on the Monday morning, to calling me an hour before he arrived. Do not be fooled by Felipe's soft spoken easy going manner. He is ruthless. In my opinion he is not qualified in pool restoration and uses fly by night sub contractors. I gave him a credit card authorization for a one time small down payment only because he was having trouble depositing checks with his bank. Felipe charged me a 7% credit card fee which he promised to return but never did. He made two other charges using the card without my authorization and I didn't find out until it was too late. I had to report the card as lost. The worst part of the project is that Felipe of Premium Pools charged my account and walked away with the sloppy tile work that was never fixed, the fire-up which was never completed and a burned out pool motor which his subcontractors caused and never disclosed. If you hire this company to do your pool restoration and wind up with money and quality work issues, I told you so. Beware.
