I would say adult because it starts at 9. There is drinking, and some costumes are adult-rated. FYI it gets really crowded. The parking options limited. Two garages are located near downtown Hollywood. There were some streets, but not too many spaces. Dixie Highway has some parking also. It's a great event, but finding parking after 10 was hard, even far. Not enough parking options for big events. It is also an are going under some building condition. The festival had plenty of vendors around and food trucks. It was surrounded by local restaurants and bars. I enjoyed checking out the new places in Hollywood. This city has so much going for it. This years event was hosted by Ashley O from the Shark. One of my favorite radio host. That was so cool she was giving out tattoos. I wanted so badly to take a picture with her but she was busy hosting the costume contest which was great. One of my favorite things about the event

Great local festival! With businesses from the Town Center and surrounding area, dancers and bands…read morefrom around Weston too. Lots of food and alcohol tents as well as home improvement, cell phone, and mortgage companies too. Dogs are welcome and the people are friendly. A perfect alternative to the over crowded and priced coconut grove arts festival that has become more corporate and less small town creative over the years. The only negatives (why I'm giving it 4 stars, not 5) about the Weston festival, is that parking was tough, and many of the tables closed down early. Some around 4 after running out of food or products. Still a beautiful outing for a first experience.

Nice, chilling atmosphere! Not bad for a festival that has been around 4-5 years!…read more The Good - there was a good amount of booths from all the local Weston businesses, including mortages, spas, impact windows, etc. Practically all of the food I sampled was delicious, but the pasta that looked like small purses that was stuffed with pear, pancetta and a gorgonzola cream sauce was particularly delicious. I got chair massages from one of the spa booths, which was very nice. I did a sampling of several wines and other spirits including a few Bourbons! The nitrogen ice creams were great! The Could-be-Better - if I am paying for a 2-6pm event, I would hope that the booths are equipped to serve until about 6:00pm. Some of the booths that were serving foodstuffs were already down by about 4:00pm, which left me wondering what they had to offer. If it would have been just one booth, it would have been okay, but it was about 4-6 of them, so I feel like I missed out. Also, we were wearing wristbands that identified us as customers and one of the ladies still did not want to serve us the wine sample because it was not in the cup that was given to us in the front, even though we had our wristbands and at least two viable cups. That was a downer. Otherwise, excellent event. Looking forward to doing it again sometime!

This carnival was located in Pembroke Pines at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church. The carnival takes place all weekend long from Thursday through Sunday. We went on a Friday night and arrived around 6:30pm. This carnival seems bigger than the last one we went to at St. David Catholic Church and not super busy. Everyone says it will gets busy on Sat and Sun. I suggest getting the unlimited rides wristband for $35 if you know you'll be at the carnival for a few hours and the kids will take advantage of unlimited rides. Worth it. Otherwise, each ride is about 4-6 tickets and tickets cost around $1.25 per ticket. Or you can do 40 tickets for $40. You do the math. Lol. There are food vendors lined up with the games. Then the church has a food tent where the money goes to the church. But you have to buy food/drink tickets. No cash or cards taken at food tent other than the food/drink tickets. Tickets are $1 each ticket and there is a minimum ticket purchase of $20. Of course. We got wings which came out super hot and fresh and crispy. But a tad salty. Also got guava empanadas and chicken empanadas which were tasty. We let our friends use the rest of our food tickets. All in all, we had a good time and nice that it wasn't overcrowded or super busy. Carnivals remind me of my childhood. Happy to see our kids enjoying the carnival with their friends too.

In the beginning your greeted by a scary dude who tells you the story of the witch and all the people she's possessed and to be prepared for all encounters. The atmosphere was perfect having to actually walk through the forest section of the park. At night theres the flashing lights that makes things look really creepy..it was perfect. We only had General Admission tickets which required us to be here at least 90 minutes before showtime. Priority Seating allows you to arrive 45 minutes before showing and gets you in before the general ticket holders. They only sell 100 of the Priority Seating tickets per show and the theater seats 243 people. We had gotten there about 2 hours before showtime and there were already people in line. The best seats to see this are up high and in the center. We didn't get those seats since they were all taken. I've never been here for a movie and thought the screen would extend out to the sides. The movies are projected floor to ceiling so that you see more of the picture. There were some part of the movie where my husband said that he felt a little dizzy. I wish that they had assigned seating so that you didn't have to get there so early to get the best seats. I would suggest that if you're seeing a movie here, that you pay a little extra and get Priority Seating tickets.

I stood in line at the ticket window outside to get my free passes and purchase another ticket. The exterior courtyard outside of the museum has an incredible, very cool giant moving clock with all kind of gadgets moving around and so much to look at and observe. The museum was not what I expected at all. Walking through the front doors, I was confused, because the museum was completely open to walk into: no one took our tickets or checked our passes and there was no sign or place where it was obvious to do this, so we just walked right in. This felt very strange after waiting in line, and if I had paid for more tickets, I would have been more annoyed. It seems like the museum is just free and the tickets are completely arbitrary. The downstairs level has a huge portion that is a playspace for young kids, which was too young for my kids. It also has a large permanent exhibit of Florida creatures in aquariums as well as different enclosures. and this was all very well done. A great way to begin our visit. The otter exhibit was a wash, as we saw no otters. Several of the other exhibits downstairs were not in working order. We headed upstairs to the revolving exhibit about world records. The entire concept is based on testing your knowledge and trying to beat world records, with the computer systems keeping track of your progress. But at least 30% if not more of the stations did not work at all, and some that did work did not track progress. It was pretty frustrating that there were no 'out of order' signs on the many exhibits that didn't work. While some of the stations were fun and a hit, it is disappointing for kids to see things they want to try and keep on trying to turn them on but it not work. We arrived within the first two hours of the museum opening, so there is no way that all those exhibits broke just that morning. The effect felt neglectful and sad. More broken exhibits greeted us in the upstairs permanent collection as well. I kept thinking... "this is it?!" This is the whole museum?! We did stay til close, as my kids discovered the maker space at the very end and wanted to test out the paper airplane launcher. I wish we had hit this before the records exhibit.

Held annually in March, the Dania Beach Marine Flea Market is a huge....it will take you more than…read morea day to cover it all...flea market specific to marine and nautical items. It has in excess of 300 vendors, some with new retail items, others with used items, and some dealing in what I could only at best term as being nothing but junk. But it has a solid following. It's been in business for over 41 years, so that is a record difficult to argue about. Held in the parking lot of the Big Easy Casino it's like going on a treasure hunt without a map. You just hope you wonder into whatever is your treasure. For the common needs it's a great place to purchase required life preservers, various pennants, burgess, poles, flags, fishing equipment and the like at far less prices than at places like West Marine. But be wary of mechanical things that they say are better as they are already "broke in" when in fact they are already "broken." Unlike other flea markets they charge you to get in. This year the standard one day admission was $12.00. Though singularly not a lot of money, it's a whole lot of money to just enable you to shop and buy at a flea market. But then again maybe not all that different than be charged to shop at Costco, Sam's Club, BJ's or the like. Now, I've been to all sorts of marine flea markets. Dania is the only one. There is the Pompano Nautical Flea Market combined with a Seafood Fest, the Martin County, Indian River Flea Market, Palm Beach Marine Flea Market, the Treasure Coast flea markets and a whole lot of others. As I've been to all of them, I'm going Four Yelp Stars on the Dania Beach Marine Flea Market as it is one of the bigger and better nautical Flea Markets.

I will be back next year and better prepared. Oh and they have beer. So till next year Cheers
