I got my eyebrows done 10 days ago from Brow Art located in the huge Arundel Mall. I got seated immediately and the lady who did my eyebrows shaped them well. She adjusted the eyebrows to my desired thickness as I like them that way. I paid $15 + tip as she used a painless technique for threading. But, I'm unable to give them 5 stars or even 4 stars as the lady had left a lot of baby hairs unattended which were only visible later on at home. And, last but not least, my eyebrows already started growing back although it's been less than 2 weeks which can only mean one thing : They didn't use a good thread to do it. Even when it's busy someone always acknowledges you instead of ignoring you, which makes a Huge difference for such a personal and close contact industry. She was able to clean up my brows since I'm letting them grow out & back to my natural shape. Afterwards, she cleaned me up using some oils. She then offered to tint my brows at no additional charge. I just got my eyebrows threaded & tinted here, i will NOT be coming back. i thought i would give it a try but i'm so mad at the results. before we started, i asked her not to take too much off & leave them thick. she proceeded to thin them out so much that my middle part is GONE. the brow tinting was a joke, it was not neat or sharp. i had to ask repeatedly to fix it & in the end, i gave up because she started being aggressive when moving my head. she did not know what she was doing at all. read more

Terrible experience! I had several cuts on my eyelid after eyebrow threading. It was clear that the ladies in this kiosk had no experience and should not be threading eyebrows. The gashes that are left on my eyelids probably will cause scarring because they are quite deep! I was planning to thread the upper lip as well but left for obvious reasons. She did not even apologize- just stood there looking apathetic. I paid her but left stunned at the lack of professionalism and with my eyelid searing with pain. I don't think people understand how traumatic it is when you mess up someone's eyebrows... I've been going to this place for awhile and overall they have been pretty decent.. Once the lady did my brows too thin but I thought maybe it was my lack of explanation.. Well this time when she finished I looked in the mirror and one brow was crazy thin and the other wasn't.. When I pointed it out to her, she offered to make the other one look just as crazy to match but that made zero sense to me! So instead we put a little makeup on it I paid and left.. I will say that this will be my last visit, I rather go back on the hunt for another eyebrow place then to have them screw up again! Update (12/12/2017) - So obviously I've been going for a while. Just wanted to add that I've services by four different people and it has always been top notch! They are also very sympathetic to the fact that I am a bit of a wimp when it comes to getting the upper lip done. (Yeowch, that stings.) ______________ They are now in their own store (near Burlington). Rejoice! I admit, I would have never gone while they were at the kiosk because dorks such as myself will titter as they walk by. I'm sorry but I'm over this franchise. I went in and explicitly told the young lady that I wanted her to clean up my existing arch. That is all. She agreed amd I guess between the time that I laid my head back and when she put the thread in your mouth, she decided that I needed a thinner shape. :: face palm :: I guess it wouldn't have been so bad had she shaved a little off the top and kept it moving but noooooooo not this one. She wanted to show her creative side.My eyebrows came out looking like a jack o laterns smile, the jagged one and I left there with eyebrow pencil in hand. Went in for a clean up of my eyebrows and the tech gave me a complete shave. There is no longer an arch and my eyebrows are thin. I specifically told her that I ONLY want a clean up and she said she understood!!!! NOT!!!!! Will NEVER go there again! I HATE thin eyebrows!!!! read more

And I'm not an calendar client by any means. So sometimes I'm a little more grown in. It never matters. They listen and are gentle. My first time ever getting threaded was in high-school. I never got my eyebrows done until I was a sophomore (I was a boy...obvi) and the first time I got waxed my face was red for days. Even though I looked like a got punched in the face and/or had pink eye for days, I still always got waxed until my friend made me go threading with her. These "Threaders" were so cool to watch, it was amazing. The practitioner takes two long entangled pieces of cotton thread and skillfully wraps them around the unwanted hairs, removing them in one clean movement. The process is fast; an almost artistic scissoring gesture that gently and quickly removes hair from the root of the follicle. Why I like threading over wax: It does not contain harmful bacteria and/or chemicals such as wax, it is great for people who have sensitive skin, works faster than waxing and lasts longer (way longer). I love coming here now! I will never get my eyebrows waxed again. I leave their little padded seat with a clean and fresh look =) read more

This is such an overdue review as most of my reviews are because I've been slackin. I'm getting back on it because yelp has helped me out with places so much its time to give back! With that said, I am hooked on eyebrow threading! Inexpensive, no ingrown hairs, and it lasts linger and is less painful than waxing or plucking. My review is based on all three locations near me (annapolis mall, arundel mills, and Columbia mall). I would say Columbia is my favorite. It's no longer at a kiosk like at arundel mills and annapolis mall and I felt the woman there spent more time fixing my way overdue scraggly mess of brows. I have been getting my brows done at all 3 locations for 2 years now. Columbia its $11 and the other locations is $12. They do other hair services but thankfully I just need my brows done. They have helped me get a beautiful and exotic shape and have respected my request that I'm trying to grow them out unlike at cheap wax places that are not hygenic and leave me with thin unarched brows. I went to Arundel Mills Brow Art today to get my eyebrows arched. There's a kiosk down the same aisle as Broadway shoes I explained that I wanted my eyebrows shaped thick not thin. The lady seemed to be annoyed with me asking for the service. She started doing my eyebrows instead of pulling them out from the root (the way it should be done) she just clipped the edges of my eyebrow. this means the eyebrow will grow back faster. Of course they think you're going to come back to them but...NOT! I watched her take her time with a Middle Eastern woman before me but when she got to me it took her three minutes for $12. I might as well have got my eyebrows waxed for $8. I let her know I wasn't pleased with the service. She didn't care and I won't be going back there. read more

Brow Art is my "go to" eyebrow place. I've been to several different locations and can say that the services provided are consistently good. I went to the Arundel Mills location and gave the brow artist a very specific description of how I like by brows and she knew exactly what I meant. She did such a great job. The Owings Mills location is nearest to my house...so Im a regular there, but whenever I'm in the Anne Arundel Co. area, this location will hold the crown for best brows in town. read more

Absolutely awful. Specifically stated multiple times "I just want a clean up, not thin please". Of course they didn't listen and proceeded to fuck up my brows making them EXTREMELY thin. I reluctantly payed and walked around the mall getting more and more upset so I went back and asked for a refund. I was told next time I come I could get it done for free. I said there won't be a next time, if I was unhappy with my services today why would I come back a second time? They then demanded I show them a picture of my brows for "proof" that they are usually done better and more thick. Once I showed them pictures of my naturally thick brows that they had already seen before she threaded them to lines, she told me to just fill them in with color. What the fuck? Excuse me? I told her again I just want a refund and they'd be at a loss of the same amount of money whether I got a refund or came back and got my brows threaded for free. They FINALLY gave me my money back and proceeded to tell me "don't come back here". As if I ever planned on it. A fucking joke. read more

This is my favorite eyebrow threading place. I rotate between this location and the Waldorf one depending where I am. The ladies are much nicer and more precise. I have had issues of over threading to the point that my skin starts to bleed, but never at this place. The prices are pretty reasonable, and they accept credit/ debit. read more
