Great selection with surprisingly great variety. We visit the valley a few times a year and it is always a first stop for snacks and meals.

Broulim's is usually a fine market and has a good variety of foods such as ethnic, gluten-free and organic. Until Covid I would have given them at least 4 stars, but the management has fallen short of it's social obligation to protect customers. As example, the butchers have not been wearing masks and a couple of days ago, one was witnessed sneezing over the meat he was cutting. Other employees in the store often have their masks lowered to expose their noses, as if that doesn't count. Many other stores follow good protocol during the pandemic, but apparently Broulim's management is ignorant of the necessity to do so or hasn't the will. read more

During my visit today I witnessed at least half the employees not wearing masks, despite the legal mandate. Most concerning was the lack of masks among the employees working behind the deli counter where fresh food is prepared. I stopped by the customer service counter to request that masks be required for employees. The agent there was also not wearing a mask and became very belligerent and threatening to me, accusing me of harassment under the ADA for bringing it up. I asked to speak to the manager and the agent told me he was unavailable. I will not patronize this store again. It's the only supermarket in town, so they obviously think they have a captive clientele. This is one of the reasons that Idaho has one of the highest Covid rates in Idaho. It's inexcusable, and the way I was treated is appalling. read more

This supermarket rivals most in much larger towns and cities. Recently expanded, they have a beautiful selection of fresh produce (although they can be on the pricey side), meats and bread. Sushi is made fresh daily, great deli area and always, an extremely tidy store. Since the expansion, Cocoa Grove (like Starbucks) moved inside the store. Good coffee and you can hang out "upstairs" if you want to enjoy your drink or food within the store. You really can find everything you need and then some. A big surprise in a small area. Keep in mind, they are closed Sunday. Can't say that bothers me, I kind of like that "old school" type of place. read more

First time at one of these stores and it was wonderful !! We went back several times while we were in the area. Their bagels were fresh and had lots of flavor. I like that they have a good variety for a rural store. But they do things that are poor business practice and if another store comes here... there will be no brand loyalty for Broulims. Always check dates...They have a nasty habit of selling out of date meat, and prepared foods. If it is a vegetable and on sale... study its condition. Generally on sale here means it will rot within hours. Beware! They are closed on Sunday, fine. But they stock on Monday so do not expect what you need to be visible on shelves until Tuesday Morning. It is shocking how many locals drive to Idaho Falls to food shop, myself among them. read more

I really like this grocery store. They always have everything I need, very friendly people, be careful of buying expired items though. Probably because they are a small town and don't go through the items as quick. They need to have someone go through and toss the old stuff. read more

Broulims is the most terrible store I've ever experienced in my life. Rude management, Brad (store director) does not give a flying crap about his employees. I've personally experienced him yelling at one of the female cashiers in front of the deli, and threaten their job. He's made many employees cry. Debi (front end manager) has done the same. They don't care if the weather & roads are absolutely terrible, they want the hard working college students to risk their lives just to meet their quota. I love the customers, they are amazing & I have met people I will never forget. I just wish management took better care of their staff, and that Robert Broulim would stop inappropriately touching his staff. read more

Local advice: Don't waste your time, just drive to Jackson! The people who work here are incredibly rude. The butcher will ignore you with his back to the counter. The meat always expires that day or the next day, it's never fresh, and the entire section smells like rotten chicken. The vegetables and fruits are always molding and rotten & they are all full price. Cashiers are always miserable and rude. The bakery is horrible, you'll get a stomach ache if you eat the cakes or cupcakes. The "fresh" bread is gross too. I hate this grocery store, I avoid it at all costs. I drive to Jackson when the pass isn't scary for their grocery stores now. The prices are the same, but you'll actually get fresh food! read more

All sorts of food and prepared food selection in a small town in rural Idaho, including a sushi bar. Prices are very fair given its location in a small countryside setting. Produce wasn't as fresh during my visit, with moldy, stale corn on the cob in the display case. But why close your doors on a Sunday outright, instead of having limited hours? read more

My special needs sister went in and saw (what she thought) was a great price on sticks of Bamboo. She saw the sign said they were $4 a bunch so she decided to buy a bunch of them for family and friends. The check out person CONFIRMED this and SOLD her these sticks of Bamboo at $4 a bunch. She went in the store the next week and Brad, the manager, went up to her and told her that the Bamboo sticks were actually $4 per stick. Brad then DEMANDED that she bring them back in. The part that really ticks me off is that Brad SAW my mom with my special needs sister and INTENTIONALLY approached my sister when she was BY HERSELF away from my mom to make her feel guilty about something SHE DIDN'T DO. I would like to point out that Brad KNOWS my sister is special needs and did this anyways. Nice going Brad. Shame on you. read more

Great, big store, with a nice selection of almost everything for a relatively rural area... a little pricey, as has been said. Only real complaints is that they are closed on Sunday's, and their seafood dept is poor (somewhat expected in this part of the country). However, their sushi is fresh and very good.. go figure. read more

Just about the only major grocery store on this side of the pass, but they keep a pretty wide selection of food and have some specialties available as well. The first thing that I love about Broulim's is the self serve, fresh ground, peanut and almond butter machines as well as the honey tap right in front of the store. Something that I don't usually see even at the "fancy" grocers at home. Other than that they usually have a pretty good selection of meats and fish, most times there is a sushi chef on duty and they have a pretty good selection of most of the items you need. They are open everyday except for Sunday so if you adventure starts on Sunday plan to shop elsewhere. read more

Thanks so much to the butcher (Craig?) for your great customer service. I was looking for bone marrow and he thought they were out of stock. After locating it in the freezer he hunted me down in the store to let me know then cut it up for my convenience. The service reminded me of the old corner butcher shop I was custom to growing up. Ah, Broulims. I have a love-hate relationship with this one. I love that there is a large store with plenty of choices, including a cafe, sushi bar, pharmacy in the Teton Valley. BUT, their prices are pretty elevated, they frequently mislabel items that are supposed to be on sale and sell them for a different price. This is not an uncommon complaint when reading Google reviews, as well. Staff is a little unpleasant when confronted with this. Just today I was overcharged by over $7 (!!!) for flowers that I purchased. I was told that "for future reference, these are such and such price". Ha. Blame he customer? "For future reference", really... Well, for future reference, Broulims, stop mislabeling items and charging a different price. Obviously I was refunded, but not after bringing it to the manager's attention and waiting for customer service. read more

Many of us who live in the valley talk about the mistakes that are made at the checkout stands. Mistakes are often made when the cashier enters a produce code. I have been overcharged many times, but curiously never undercharged. Suspicious. Just check your receipt every time you shop there. They are good about correcting errors, but it is a hassle. Surprisingly good store otherwise. In a tourist town, it is strange that they are closed on Sunday. There are other, smaller stores nearby that are open on Sunday. read more

I have shopped here now four years during winter with a mixed review some good some bad. They have a nice selection including fresh bakery and organic. Prices shown on the shelf are often different at check out. Check your receipt. For example I just purchased a bag of grapes that where labeled $2.99. At check out the price was per pound not for the bag. A week ago I bought a package of steaks that were to be on sale but came out regular price. I found all the packages of polish sausages another day all priced at around $78.00 so I brought this to the attention of the butcher who quickly corrected the mistake. Ham at the deli may have a sign for sale price but may get labeled as regular price so when I showed the deli worker, he apologized and said that he has to remember to over-ride the computer for about a day or two after the sale is on for the sale items. It appears that the store management is not careful about computer price updating for discounts. Sometimes two for one price means you must buy two and other times not but you do not know until check out. I have not yet been mistakenly under-charged only over-charged. The store service desk has reimbursed me for all these items that I caught but it is a hassle to go through the service desk for refund and to have to always check the receipt. The store uses a membership discount that after a few months you get store credit. We have not been able to use the credit yet since it is usually made available after the peak tourist seasons. read more
