Awful. Damaged car by incorrectly lifting. I have never seen such inexperienced behavior and lack luster professionalism to say the least.

Firestone Complete Auto Care

Firestone Complete Auto Care

Very courteous and professional staff at this location. They always take good care of me. Repairs…read moreare always completed promptly in a reasonable time frame (usually same day or next day unless parts are unavailable). Convenient hours. Very reasonable prices. They stand behind their work with lifetime warranty on many parts. I would imagine this warranty would be honored at any Firestone store nationwide. The parts are generally very good quality. I had a full brake restoration done (new calipers, rotors, and pads on all 4 wheels). About a year later, i suspected one of the calipers was sticking. They inspected and replaced both front calipers, plus the pads and rotors, no questions asked, no hassle, no charge. It's been a couple years and the brakes have worked perfectly since. I switch my tires between summer and winter on the same rims. Between the price (far better than other local shops) and the turnaround time, Firestone is the only shop I will use for this service. There is a VIP club I was automatically enrolled in due to my services and purchases, which entitles me to free flat repairs, tire rotations, brake inspections, and more, which is nice.

I am leaving this review regarding an incident that occurred at this establishment and the manner…read morein which management handled the situation afterward. A verbal altercation occurred between a customer and another individual after an allegation of tailgating. During the exchange, the woman involved allegedly made a comment regarding the other individual being deported by President Trump. The comment was perceived by those present as racially offensive and inappropriate. Shortly afterward, the woman's son became involved in the situation. According to what I personally witnessed, the individual approached the other person while they were seated in their vehicle and struck them. When the individual subsequently exited the vehicle, the son retreated toward his mother's vehicle. The most concerning part of the incident, however, was the response from management. When an attempt was made to have the establishment's security footage preserved and reviewed, management appeared unwilling to assist and seemed to favor one side of the dispute. The woman involved stated that she had reviewed the footage and claimed that it did not show her son striking the other individual. Given that security footage may have provided an objective account of what occurred, I believe management should have taken reasonable steps to preserve the footage and remain neutral while the situation was being addressed. I am disappointed with the way this matter was handled and believe customers should be able to expect management to take incidents of this nature seriously, investigate them objectively, and preserve potentially relevant security footage when requested.

Johns Auto and Truck repair is a great and trustful auto repair shop!! I am very sceptical on who…read moreI trust with my car because for (1) I want the job done correct and ( 2) some mechanics take advantage of females and charge outrageous prices. But Johns Auto Repair I trust these guys with my whole heart!!! Every time I have car trouble I pull up to the garage and John look at my car right away and tells and shows me what the problem is. Him and his team is very honest and the price is never outrageous for the work he preforms. Thank you John and his brother (forgot his name) for always taking great car of me and my pacifica!! You guys are truely amazing!!! I left my mechanic I been dealing with for years because I pay him so much money for repairs and my car breaks down a couple of weeks later and I'm back spending more and more money!! On July 26, 2026 John's Auto & Truck Repair, LLC. was called to the public marina dock in Long…read moreBranch on River Ln. to tow my Jeep and trailer due to expired plates on the vehicle. The tow truck driver was informed that towing the Jeep and the trailer would mean that my personal watercraft would remain abandoned and unsecured at the public dock. He informed me that I would be able to get the release paperwork from the Long Branch Police Department and retrieve my Jeep and trailer at 8 AM (when the business opens). The next day, I immediately proceeded to the Long Branch PD and got all of the paperwork in order with the appropriate registration. "Released" docs were issued. I called John's and spoke to the owner, who informed me that the company only accepts cash and that the invoice wasn't processed since he wasn't yet in the office. He mentioned he would call me back. As I sat in the bank parking lot for 30 minutes, I called the number back and spoke with an employee in the office. He mentioned that the paperwork wasn't completed, but that typical tows would be in the $300 range. I took out $500 as a precaution. When I proceeded to the business, he informed me that the owners were still on their way and would be there in 5 minutes. After 20 minutes of waiting, I proceeded back to the desk, confused as to why my Jeep was still not retrievable. John's Auto & Truck Repair has a contract with the Long Branch Police Department to serve the public according to its hours of operation. At this point, they were playing games about the pricing and holding my Jeep hostage while my personal watercraft remained docked and not secured at the Long Branch Marina. I informed the desk employee that I would be calling the Long Branch Police to rectify getting my vehicle back. He returned the "released" forms to me and encouraged me to give them to the police. The police dispatcher recognized my frustration and also my concerns for retrieving private property unsafely left at the city's public marina. Officers were dispatched to John's Auto & Truck Repair. Upon arrival, a husband and wife duo arrived on scene, exiting the car frustrated. The woman mentioned that we "spoke on the phone" and that they were "out getting parts." I was frustrated at this point because it was almost 9:30 AM. No citizen should have to wait 90 minutes at the whim of a towing company and cash deals with the police department to retrieve property. The total cost of keeping my Jeep and jet ski trailer overnight was $460.60. Luckily, I had the $500.00 on hand. The woman asked her husband to provide change, which he did so via his personal wallet. HMMMMM. Meanwhile, they had a difficult time retrieving my Jeep because they accidentally locked the keys in the vehicle. You really couldn't make the situation up. The police remained pretty silent on scene given their Department's contracts with this shady business. Finally, I was able to retrieve my vehicle. The expired plates, however, were missing. The owner informed me that they were taken by the Long Branch Police Dept. He gave me the screws to put my new license plates on the vehicle. This company deserves to be audited for their bad practices and unprofessional behavior. I can't imagine how a citizen might engage with this company not knowing their basic rights. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Great professional service! And truly kind and amazing people!…read more Got into an flat tire emergency while heading back home on my motorcycle from visiting my folks down in South Jersey. While all the other dealers and shops declined to even look at my bike, Greg at TLC took time from what he was working on at the moment to check out my bike. He spotted the issue (slow valve leak) and filled up the tire with air to help get me back on the road. He gave me some tips and advice about the risk in doing so. After deciding to not risk the trip back to NYC on my bike, I decided to leave it there at the shop, which Greg and his dad had no problem with. His dad (Ray) even gave me a lift to the train station, as it was quite a distance, so I can get home. These are truly kind and helpful people and I am grateful for their help and service. They worked on my bike to get it going and I am happy with the work. They are reasonable, reliable and efficient. Highly recommended professionals! Thank you, again, Greg/Ray. You guys saved me from a major jam that day! Best, Peter

Their prices are reasonable and on several occasion they have figured out intelligent ways to save me a substantial amount of money. One example, the shifter in my Lexus SUV went bad, Lexus only sells the entire shift assembly for well over $500. TLC took the time to identify the part number and source the $15 switch inside the assembly that went bad. This resulted in a bill of around $100 instead of $800. They have done things like this for me several times over the years. Don't be put off by their quiet demeanor, as you get to know them you'll find that in addition to their skill and honesty, they are very nice people. In an industry that's riddled with rip off artists TLC is without question a rare breed.
