They've moved locations a few times since then, but the food is still absolutely spot-on. The lunch buffet is where it's at. The black bean chicken is my personal go-to--savory, bold, with that perfect hit of umami that keeps you coming back for more. Their egg drop soup is also delicious. It's basically warm, silky comfort in a bowl. And weirdly enough, their Coke is next-level. I don't know if it's the syrup ratio or the ice or some secret Utah magic, but it has just the right bite and fizz. I've thought about it more than I should. Through the decades, this place has stayed consistent--delicious food, friendly service, and the kind of neighborhood feel that makes it feel more like a tradition than just a meal. If you haven't been, you're missing out on a local favorite that's stood the test of time.

The service was wonderful - personable and on top of everything. One aspect which really stood out was the number of regulars picking up take out. Not nosey - these are people they knew well and enjoyed having around. I think that says a lot about the quality of the place. That same friendliness was extended to everyone in the restaurant. The price was fair and the portions were big. The service was incredible. My food came in just five minutes after I ordered (I guess it depends on when you go. There weren't a lot of people when I went). The staff were all so friendly and helpful. I forgot to bring a hair tie so that my hair wouldn't get in the way, and the server gave me one!
