I ate both the Caesar and tossed salads, and also had both the lasagna and the baked spaghetti and bolognese sauce. I've been wanting to try some of their broiler dishes, suck as steaks. Times I have eaten at Mountain, it was very warm and welcoming, as it was in winter. Theriault ambiance was very warm as well. Service was great and friendly, the staff was professional and knowledgeable. Definitely a spot to visit for delicious foods.

We were looking for a place to get a quick lunch and then spotted Violet Mae's Bakery. As soon as…read morewe walked in we noticed the white board with various menu items such as sandwiches, soup and one type of breakfast sandwich. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with ham and my wife ordered a BLT. I also ordered a coffee. While we were waiting for our food we looked around to see what else is available. There were two fridges for frozen meals that could be taken home and reheated. There were some basic groceries such as eggs as well. Of course, being a bakery, there were lots of breads, buns and pastries. Our orders didn't take long, but since there are no tables everything was to go. That's okay, I can eat in the car. My wife said her BLT was especially good. My breakfast sandwich was very filling but also tasty and not messy so it was easy to eat in the car. My coffee was not so great. It tasted like what I often make at home. That is something that Violet Mae's could improve on. However if you are passing through town and looking for a place for a quick lunch to go, or you need to pick up some bread for later, this is your place. It's only a block from the highway and near the west end of Whitecourt.

Google Maps showed a wide road in front of this business to park the RV so I called them to place an order. The lady who picked up my call was very nice and answered all of my questions. It was a clean small space with a couple of tables and a counter with stools... designed for take-outs.

I really liked the variety in the vegetarian platter - falafel, garlic sauce, rice roll, cauliflower... it was delish! The kebob didn't wow us. Would definitely come here again when in Whitecourt!
