One, a few blocks away, wanted to charge less than 20% of that total. And a place in tony Park Slope would have charged $38. To add insult to injury, the hem hits me in the most unflattering place on my calf. It's terrible. This is not the first time Astro has pegged me for a sucker. But it's going to have to be the last. My last couple interactions however were really awful. I brought a jumpsuit that I work in, picked it up when was ready and took it right to work. When I put it on I noticed previous stains from my makeup on the collar of the jumpsuit and worst of all, it smelled of sweat in the underarms. The whole reason for me dry cleaning is to make sure my clothes smell fresh as its rare that my things are stained. When I took it back I said I want it re done and I'm not going to pay for it once more since it hasnt been cleaned properly (even had pictures to prove). She wasnt very happy but said ok and gave me my other gowns. I opened right there and said no, they need to be re done, they still have a smell! The woman then proceeds to tell me, "maybe that's just your smell because the clothes have been cleaned" she then tried to charge me again for the jumpsuit saying "you wore it already". Yes I had worn it because I had no other choice but to wear a dirty one. After she re-did the cleaning I simply picked them up, still not fresh, found another dry cleaner who actually knows how to do a good job and never came back.

The dropped off laundry is even more phenomenal! The clothes come really nicely folded and smelled so fresh. They even texted us if we wanted suavitel fabric softener on the clothes. They also text you when your clothes are ready. I believe they also do pick up and delivery. Clothes are ready the same day as well. Prices are reasonable for the service they give you. Ive used his pick up and delivery service off and on for almost half a year. The past two times…read morehave been a complete nightmare. First, he lost a bathing suit bottom that cost me $40. Offered no compensation. Just an apology that it wouldn't happen again. I sucked it up and used him again as he's the only service in the area that does pick up and delivery. This time was a huge difference. He admitted to bleaching my sheets. Blaming his "new girl". Then I opened my blankets. They stunk. He proceeded to tell me I'm supposed to open the bags to let them air dry meanwhile ive used his service before and never needed to do this. He then admitted again new girls mistake. I requested reimbursement for the sheets that were bleached. He said no only a discount for future. I then noticed a bunch of stains on my very expensive limited edition skims shorts. He proceeded to tell me I need to take better care of my clothes. I gave him that item barely even dirty. I wore it for one second and will even show the court i recently purchased it. Its obviously a fabric softener stain. I dont give him fabric softener or bleach for my clothing. It looks like someone ran in over with a truck. As seen in attached photos, you can see the child that is running this business. I'm now taking him to small claims court because he doesnt want to offer any reimbursement for his mistakes and even laughed at me and told me I'm not his son or brother which was completely irreveleant and decides to laugj at me. Very immature. This kid is about 25 years old and has no idea how to run a business, let alone speak to customers. His own workers told me hes a partier that doesn't wake up until 12pm everyday. Doesn't know how to run a company and will ruin your clothes. Even if you do the wash yourself, they do not rinse the machines prior to your next wash and your clothes can be ruined with bleach and he wants no responsibility even though admits fault through text and his policy on his receipt ensures reimbursement. Stay away from this laundromat. The child is immature and will never help you with any mistakes his business makes. Screenshots to show immaturity and pictures to show damage he did to my clothing. Sheets cost $119. Shorts were $54. Stay away from this laundromat unless you want your clothes lost, ruined and smelly and offered a discount for future use.

However, when I tried to schedule same-day delivery back to my home, that option wasn't available. I called the laundromat to clarify, and the experience quickly went downhill. The woman I spoke with was extremely unprofessional--she told me I was wrong, insisted my laundry wasn't ready, raised her voice, and ultimately hung up on me while I was trying to understand what was going on. Because of that interaction, I asked a friend who lives nearby to pick up my laundry even if it had not been serviced yet, as I didn't feel comfortable continuing the service. Shortly after, the same employee called me back to say it was a mistake and that my laundry was actually ready. There was no apology for the confusion or for how I was treated. When my friend arrived for pickup, there woman acknowledged the misunderstanding but offered no apology. While my laundry was completed, the lack of professionalism and basic customer service was disappointing--especially for a paid rush service. I also ended up handling pickup myself instead of receiving the delivery I paid for. I hope the business takes this feedback seriously and works on improving communication and customer service, because this experience did not meet expectations.

Guy blamed me. Said he would put a jean cuff on them but won't look right. They came back and it's like he intentionally made them look bad. When I complained he said he didn't do the original cuff, would never do an inner cuff that high. I explained to him that I don't go anywhere else and it was him that took the measurements for the cuff. Still denied it and ended up cursing me out and calling me a liar. On top of that, when I picked up my current dry cleaning the button was ripped off my pants and some stitches were pulled. Again, took no responsibility, said that could never happen here. Guy was unreasonable, belligerent, and rude beyond belief.

When I picked them up, the Army uniform had Air Force ribbons placed on it, and the actual Army ribbons were missing entirely. When I brought this to their attention, instead of taking responsibility, the owner immediately dismissed the issue and claimed they would never make that mistake, placing the blame on me. The way this was communicated was disrespectful and lacked basic customer service. There was no attempt to understand or resolve the situation professionally. They did offer to replace the missing ribbons, but even then the attitude remained poor. After I wrote down exactly what was missing, the owner handed me the ribbons in a bag and said, "I'm not putting them together." This is despite the fact that I had already paid for the placement of accouterments. It felt like because they specialize in military uniforms, they believe customers have no other option and can be spoken to however they want. That kind of approach is unacceptable. Attention to detail and professionalism matter, especially when handling service uniforms. I would not recommend this business based on both the lack of accountability and how it was handled.

Please consider buying these items here to support a local business! My previous review of the laundry facilities is still pretty much how I feel. Cheap, quick, and CLEAN! There is an ATM and a change machine, and they also sell detergents, fabric softeners, dryer sheets, etc. As such, it is a very forgiving environment if you forget to bring something. Sometimes, when I'm feeling lazy, or the laundry has piled up into a mountain, I'll bring it in for a full-service laundering. They always do an A+ job, and I am so grateful to them for taking the time to fold my clothes, pair my socks, and do whatever they do with those darn fitted sheets. Keep up the great work!

Most important, they are willing and able to work with my special needs. I have allergies to fragrances and other chemicals which can make me pretty sick. Prospect has consistently used the products I've given them and I haven't had one bad experience with them. I have had bad experiences with some other laundries that can't avoid using dangerous laundry products. I know, you'd think it would be easy. Prospect is also reliable about pickup and delivery times and has a fast turnaround time, usually 24 hours. Anthony is always friendly, willing and able. You can't go wrong here.
