This review is for the shop in Marchmont, it was not listed as an option.... So interesting that this establishment behaves as if there is a vaccine mandate and all of the diseased people must be prevented from entering.... I saw the big sign saying "no mask no bagel" and knew I was in the wrong place. Some people love that bcz it makes them feel "safe" but many many do not agree. I have Multiple Sclerosis, I am CLEARLY disabled and when I went in without a mask they very firmly told me I NEED one even tho I told them I am exempt. They asked for my "exemption card" which I had never heard of and which I realized after the fact that it's simply something printed off from a govt website. Any business behaving like this will not get my business. I regret giving them any of my money .... But at least here I can report back here that their bagels are subpar. I'm from the US and have been to Montreal and had the real deal, I can say 100% these are far from that. Also, they OBVIOUSLY have a bathroom but they won't let customers use it. I went next door to Montpellier and they are so very nice, let me in without demanding a MASK or "papers" and let me use their loo without even being their customer. Next time I'm in the neighborhood I'll definitely be going to Montpellier, NOT Bross.... The woman that owns this establishment is Canadian so I'm not too surprised about the concern for people's health (ie virtue signaling) but I really want no part of the nonsense. read more
