Part of the food court/central market here (Les Halles Vauban), I only popped in here once but the brochettes (meat skewers) from their basic assiette dish were great!
They asked me how I liked my beef cooked (a pointe) and it was nicely tender. The fries/frites were some of the better ones I've had, especially in terms of crispness and texture. You have a choice of dipping sauces.
What was fun was the jovial atmosphere from the locals and the staff. You can take the food to some other part of the food court, but you can also sit at the counter. I recommend the counter. There's only seating for maybe 8-10 people arranged in an L-shape. The staff of two was pleasant and their English good enough to handle me, as my French was terrible. Watching how locals hang out and eat at the counter was a treat.
