Similar experience to that of Camille L. This restaurant has an amazing view of the port of Collioure, and had we gone at a warmer time of year, the patio seems like it would have been fantastic. But as it was, on a cold and windy day, we ended up inside, eating with our coats still on, because the heating system was not equal to the challenge.
In spite of the great rating on Trip, and recommendations in a couple of guidebooks, we found the food to be mediocre at best. For a restaurant specializing it seafood, we expected that they should know how to prepare fish, but alas it was not so.
Dessert was an overblown frivolity with a creme puff swan, but it was more decorative than edible, and tasted a bit like the fridge.
Maybe we chose poorly, or perhaps it is better in high season, or maybe we are just applying city standards to a resort town restaurant. At any rate, 5 stars for the view, and 2 stars for the food. read more
