Any maintenance issues have been addressed that same day and I really like how the managers are always available to talk to either in person or via email. I love being so close to downtown Cincinnati and within walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants in Covington. There are two very nice club rooms/lounge areas that can be reserved for events or parties, a huge gym that includes a sauna, pet spa, coffee/espresso machine with custom drinks, Luxer One locker package system, Tide lockers for your dry cleaning, I mean the list just goes on and on. You can't beat the amenities here!

The building is located right on the banks of the Ohio river, on the Covington, KY side, and features stunning views of the entire Cincinnati skyline. I like this location because it is close to Cincinnati (accessible by footbridge), but not as congested as Cincinnati in terms of parking. The building was completely renovated recently offers studios , and 1 and 2 bedroom units- all of which are spacious, with high ceilings and large decks that offer spectacular views. I love that the building includes many amenities; community terrace with firepit, pet friendly, a huge fitness facility, and 24/7 attended security in the lobby. I can't give enough praise for this awesome new apartment building!

Having a washer and dryer in the apartment is a huge plus and makes life so much easier. The community is very student-friendly, which makes it feel safe and comfortable. I can walk around without feeling scared, which is really important to me. They also have a clubhouse where residents can hang out, do activities, and enjoy free coffee. The staff and maintenance team are extremely friendly, caring, and always willing to help. Everyone is so sweet and welcoming. As an international student, this place truly feels like a home away from home. I would definitely recommend Northern View Housing. It's within walking distance to NKU and the NKU Campus Recreation Center, which makes it even better.

Absolutely do not live here. About a month ago I slipped on ice in the parking lot and got a…read moreconcussion. I ended up with $2000 in medical bills as well as missing weeks of work and school. When I told northern view about this they told me it was my fault and it is not their responsibility to salt the parking lot. On top of that, I am being forced to pay to park here when in my leasing agreement it states in plain writing that there is no fee to park here for myself or my guests as long as they have a parking pass. Office staff is horrible. Wyatt went to the bar my roommate works at and made her so uncomfortable that she doesn't want to go to the office anymore. None of them actually care about customer service. I would not recommend living here to anyway. I don't care how much of a broke college kid you are, do not live here.

Disclaimer: these apartments are no longer called Hidden Valley. They are called campus view…read more *copy of my google review*: This is the worst place to live. We were stupid enough to sign on for a second year. We haven't had properly functioning air conditioning the entire time we've lived here. Being on the third floor that creates a huge problem. I'm writing this review as my air conditioner has quit, again. We've had leaks all kinds of other issues as well. All the apartments are EXTREMELY humid. They give you no notice of when they need to enter the apartment, but expect the dog to be off site or put away. We got a note on the door they would be coming in the same day for an inspection- even though we were not home and had no way of seeing this note and preparing for the dog earlier. The parking lot was supposed to be repaved as I was told, however, they just paved one line down the middle of the driveway and the rest has been left the old and torn up blacktop. And the potholes are still bad. If you live on the left side- forget about finding a parking space. The complex is mostly students, however, much of the non student population causes many disturbances. We've had issues with fights in the parking lot. And even a neighbor who would ask us for money and constantly knock on our door.

No frills here at Hidden Valley. Both the interior and exterior look dated. Each unit is carpeted and has a balcony. There is also a community pool and on-site laundry. Not a fan of the bathrooms, which have hard-to-clean tiled showers. The apartments are average sized with small closets. You'll find a lot of low-income families living here as well - not just college students. Be on the look out for lots of unsupervised children running around. While Hidden Valley is within walking distance of NKU, it's not close to much else. The bustling 471 / State Route 27 separates the apartments from the university at a major intersection. A Frisch's is nearby, as is Chipotle. You'll probably want to take a car to the grocery store; the Kroger is easily a mile down the street. If you can afford to spend a little more on an apartment, look elsewhere for a quality living area. Just a few extra bucks can make a world of difference. Pricing: - $525 for one bedroom - $625 for two bedrooms

The walls were stained with brown spots and it smelled god awful, I felt sick. 2. They don't fix anything. I had a problem with my dish washer and when I asked for it to be fixed, they said it would cost a lot. So I washed my dishes by hand. 3. Bad area. I've heard from another resident of deaths at the apartment complexes and drug use, plus the area is a bit shady. Please don't move here.

Arriving at the leasing office, a middle-aged woman was too apathetic to show me apartment, so she tossed me the key and said, "Bring it back when you're done." I wandered around the property until I found the building in the rear of the lot. It was a bright spring day and the apartment was dark. No direct sunlight coming in through any of the windows. The view out the main window in the living room was about 10 feet away from a hillside embankment. No trees, just dirt and a view of some homeowners' backyards. But wait... it gets better. There was an iron-shaped burn in the middle of the living room carpet. There was also a bag of food left in the refrigerator from a previous tenant. If this was the effort they put into showing an apartment, I couldn't imagine how they treat residents when they need a repair. Needless to say I didn't move here. After a few months, my good friend had a change of heart. Maintenance requests went ignored, the pool was out of commission during the summer, and the parking situation was atrocious. There were not enough spots and upon returning home after 6:00pm, she would have to park on a steep, shady hillside nowhere near her apartment. The parking lot itself was littered with 12-inch deep pot holes. My friend ended up moving at the end of her lease. Sonsrena may have a Fort Thomas address, but it's at the edge of city limits in a low-income area bordering Highland Heights.

The pool hours are laughable, as they are only open when the office is open and you had to leave 15 minutes before the office closed so "they can leave on time"-- that is what we were actually told. So the paying tenants have to cater to the employees?? They aren't lifeguards, so how can it possibly matter if we are there when they aren't? Oh, and it was closed all day one day a week because... who knows. You had to mail in your rent check instead of dropping it off at the office. I guess that meant not having to see all the sourpusses every month, but still. Inconvenient. If you're desperate and need a cheap place to live you can check this place out but be warned-- there are a host of unreasonable rules and unpleasant people to deal with. Good luck!
