It's in a quiet part of the central business district but only a couple of blocks away from all the action if you want it. Living here during Oktoberfest and Taste of Cincinnati is basically the best thing imaginable. Don't feel like using a portable toilet? Just quickly go home. It's just one street down from the party! You can access the Skywalk relatively quickly after being outside for merely a block and a half on super cold or rainy days, there's a cheap parking lot right next to it that your suburb friends can park in if they want to come down and not feed a meter, and you can easily walk to the park and river within minutes. The staff are amazing. Michele, the landlord, is always very helpful and responds to my emails for maintenance orders or general questions within the hour when I contact her. The guy in charge of maintenance, Steve, is super nice and talks to me whenever I see him and always fixes any issues I have. Val, the lady in charge of keeping the building fresh as clean does a fantastic job and is so incredibly nice whenever I see her. Other pluses: new, comfortable lounge with wifi and full kitchen and free coffee and cable, security at night, brilliant southern views if you're on that side of the building, and a nice workout room. In summary, this place is awesome and I love it here. I recommend it to anyone interested in living in the CBD.

Brand new, freshly remodeled, granite counter tops throughout, stainless steel appliances, washer and dry IN UNIT, custom walk in closet! This place is awesome. Yeah it was a little bit on the small side but for one person it was perfect. Located right across from Western and Southern and P&G it's a great place. Two blocks from Great American Ball Park and US Bank Arena. Nothing beats walking out your front door, walking a block and getting cheap cheap tickets to all the major sporting events. Within walking distance to the Banks, Fountain Square, and OTR. Lytle Park is less than a block away. Easy on and off to the expressways. If I had to do it over again I would choose Lytle Tower 10 out of 10 times. Other good thing is their excellent ancillary staff. Steve, the jack of all trades, is always willing to help out even if it's not in his job description. There's security at the front door every night and I feel like I'm at my grandma's because the cleaning lady keeps this place spotless.

The 'Courtesy Officer' on some occasion said he didn't hear anything, some times asked me to go speak to her -- the final straw and thankfully my last weekend living in the apartment I had family over for the holiday and were enjoying a dinner and it was interrupted by a full party of about 30 - 40 people in the apartment above. So, at this point I called the cops. This was after the Security Guard came down and said yes they are having a party and she said it will be over at midnight. Lol. Completely disregarding the 10pm quiet hours. My family ended up having to leave and I waited for the police. Thankfully, the police responded and the party ended at midnight. There is no doubt if I hadnt called the cops, they wouldve continued much later. I have never been in this type of scenario and was so glad that that was my final weekend in the apartment. I moved out 3 months early and paid two rent for two apartments because the neighbor above was loud and its clear at this point the rental office isnt going to address it. As a tenant that is quiet, pays on time and clean -- I expected my concerns to be taken seriously. The apartments are beautiful, but walls are thin and it will be a NIGHTMARE if you end up with a loud neighbor. On the day of my move out, the rental manager followed the movers and myself as I moved out and watched as we moved boxes from my apartment to the truck. I had to ask him to leave as there was no reason for him to be there. He was making an already stressful day worse. This isnt a normal practice and when I moved in, he nor any of the other leasing people did this. So awkward and weird, maybe he thought I would damage the elevator or steal the hallway decoration. There are so many examples of disperity in treatment among tenants. But a final one ill mention is about a month after moving in I had ONE living room chair being delivered. The movers were stopped and told they had to go to the back. Fine. But, months later a lady moved a an entire bedroom set, mattress and several other items through the front door and she wasnt treated like I was. I stood there and watch not one person in the office stopped her or ask her movers to go to the back. Worse apartment experience ever and so thankful to be away. If you decided to risk it and move here take lots of moving in pics (pay special attention to the carpets they may try to pass that expense to you) and you may need to call the cops on loud neighbors -- because the rental office may not address it for certain tenants. All tenants should have a right to a quiet home.

The staff is very friendly, attentive and responsive, and seems to genuinely care about us residents. Even in the event there is something going on or an emergency, they make sure to email us letting us know immediately. They've also done a TON to beautify the grounds and keep it clean. This is actually my family's second stay here, we had moved out to try to save for a house but after looking at the market, it was a no brained to come back here. I lived at Deer Hill for a little over a year and a half. They were very kind in understanding my…read moresituation since my lease was up after one year, they allowed me to continue to rent month to month until I found somewhere more suitable for me, as long as I gave them proper notice. They were also great when I had switched jobs and I had a minor gap between paychecks, which caused my rent to go over the "allowable" late time. They were always on top of things and were very kind any time I needed anything. I ended up getting the majority of my deposit back, so I was very happy with that - but it was easy, considering the apartment was already very clean when I moved in. My apartment was nestled back towards the wooded area, so it made it really beautiful during the summer and fall, and my apartment never got overly hot due to the shade from the trees. I would say the ONLY downside to that would be the bugs that would come from the wooded area, but what can you expect? The maintenance staff was always careful about the pets, and ensured that they were not just leaving the door ajar or that they were entering the apartment when pets were "unsupervised." It was just definitely a plus having a caring office staff as well as a caring maintenance staff, because you usually just get one or the other. They also did a big "apartment meet-n-greet" at the movie theater to see a family friendly movie! They paid for popcorn, drinks, and the tickets, the only thing you paid for was anything else you wanted from the concession. It gave everyone a chance to meet their neighbors whom they otherwise probably wouldn't have. I definitely enjoyed every minute I lived here!

I was worried during the winter time because of the big hill but they keep the parking lot/roads clear and salted which makes me feel safe! This complex is pet friendly and residents have lots of dogs which is great because I have a dog also. There is lots of room to walk and many dog stations to clean up after your pet. My neighbors are not loud which is definitely a plus. The only CONS I have with this place is their car policy is way too strict. I understand having rusty, crappy cars is a big no no, but one little dent isn't hurting anyone or making the complex look bad. You also can't hang any flags and you only get one washer and one dryer per unit. The nice thing though is that they are card operated instead of using all your quarters! You also have to pay for water which kinda sucks because most apartments pay that for you. Other than that, I enjoy living here and would recommend it!

With high exposed ceilings, industrial concrete pillars, and countless gigantic windows, you can feel the hustle-and-bustle of Cincinnati's heyday in your living room. Some of the stories that surround the building include Mrs. Potter's Hygienic Supply Co., which manufactured some of the first brunette hair dye called "Walnut Tint Hair Stain" in 1903. The ground floor was once home to Dow Drugs in 1890, the first drug store in Cincinnati to add a soda fountain, along with perfume, cosmetic, and tobacco departments. It was managed by a young woman, age 22, who graduated second in her all-male class at pharmaceutical college. Groton Lofts is a seven story building, with the first floor occupied by the Blue Wisp Jazz Club. Live music is audible in the second floor apartments, with the performance space being located under units 201 - 204. Blue Wisp is courteous though, with music ending around 10:00 on most weeknights and by midnight on weekends. Plus, it's smooth jazz tunes, nothing boisterous. It's actually enjoyable to listen to while waiting on the elevator in the lobby. The apartments themselves are very spacious, with gigantic open living rooms, and open kitchen with hardwood, basement storage spaces, secure access, and coin laundry on every floor. Units are available in one and two bedroom models. A secure parking garage is across the street for $71.00 per month. Groton residents also have access to amenities at adjacent apartments, like the fitness center at Shillito Place and the rooftop pool at The Gramercy. While the layout is incredibly roomy, historic, and offers a gorgeous view of Cincinnati and Piatt Park, there are a few downsides to Groton. - Due to the exposed ceiling, the bedrooms have full walls and an open ceiling. If you have a roommate in a two bedroom, you can hear everything from music, to doors shutting, to washing dishes in the kitchen. If you room with a light sleeper, this could be a problem. - The large, historic windows are amazing, but only half of them actually open. Two windows out of six in the living room open, as does one of the two in a second bedroom. None of the windows in the master bedroom open; they're all bolted shut from the outside. - Cooling costs get exorbitant on the top floor during the summer. Expect upwards of $300.00 bills from Duke Energy during July and August. Maintenance is on top of the game, responding to requests within one day, on-call for emergencies, and will help fix anything from a broken stove to installing a curtain rod. They even deliver any UPS packages that arrive while you're out. Management is very friendly as well: quick to respond to any problems, organizes community activities, makes sure the common areas are safe and clean, and most importantly, goes to great lengths to make sure incoming residents transition easily into their new home. Filled with turn-of-the-century architecture, tons of natural light, and a luxuriously large living room, Groton Lofts continues its tradition of attracting artistic minds to Downtown Cincinnati. If you have taken a tour of Savoy or recently moved-in you will undoubtedly be bombarded by the…read moremanagement team to provide a 5 star Google review. Don't do it. This is their way of getting 5 star reviews before you have had a chance to interact with them for an extended period of time. Wait to provide a review until you move-out. This will give you more time to determine how Savoy West Chester (Hills Properties) truly operates. The management team is exceptionally good at being very friendly before and immediately upon move-in. Just read the other reviews...they are from people who recently took a tour of the property or recently moved-in. Then compare those reviews to the reviews provided by tenants that have moved out. You will see a vast difference in opinion.. Move-out becomes a problem if you have to break your lease and move out early. They tell you they have a "waiting list" and ask you for "accelerated" rent payments. They tell you they will refund any amount if they are able to place a new tenant before your lease expires and since they have a waiting list, that time period is typically 2 weeks. My 3 neighbors moved out at least 3 weeks before any work was even started on 2 of the units. If you need an honest opinion of Savoy don't rely on this review or anything you hear from the management team, with the exception of Taylor. Taylor is great to work with and has a great personality. Come by the place and talk to the 3rd party cleaning crew and ask their opinion of the management team. You will be amazed at what they have to say about the management team. There are plenty of other decent apartments in the area. I would encourage everyone to consider those first. You will regret staying at Savoy in the end. Again, please, please, please don't give them a 5 star review until you stay here at least a year or more and have had a chance to see how they handle move-out! What have you got to lose? Also, before signing the lease, ask them what the "Lease Break Fee" is and get it in writing. As mentioned before, working with Taylor was great. I can't say that about the leasing staff. Forget about calling the corporate office. The regional manager can't seem to return emails or phone calls. She gets the manager to do her dirty work. I am a current resident and feel unsafe. I've had two packages stolen from the mail room which is…read moreunlocked from the outside (it has key lock but it's generally open) and from inside the garage for anyone to walk in. I voiced my concerns to the management team both times my packages were stolen and they did not take it seriously, in fact they made it like it was my fault or immediately told me it was likely the delivery driver who stole it. When I initially alerted them with the first theft, the manager stated she would get back with me once she reviewed the footage, she did not. I followed up and she quickly made it seem like it wasn't something she was concerned with. The second package theft they stated they looked through 48 hours worth of surveillance, which is unlikely to do in the 45 minutes from when my complaint was received by their office to when they emailed stating they had reviewed all the footage. They suggested that I should have my packages sent to the UPS store across the street. When asked if they could at minimum put up signage stating there was video surveillance to potential deter theft, he told me "they just take them down" Overall, this is an environment where residents concerns are not taken seriously and instead made to feel inferior for even asking for assistance. Theft is occurring here and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I've read other google review with the same complaint from a year ago.

Well, then look no further. This is a trash apartment complex. They façade as being luxury, when in reality, the amount of service that you experience is beyond unsatisfactory. To make it clear, they expect you to leave your apartment, after moving out, with no furniture marks on the carpet. Any typical wear and tear that may be experienced after living in this apartment complex for any amount of time, is decidedly up to you to pay for. Repainting the walls after hanging standard paintings and other furnishings will be prosecuted by the management. They will call collections on you in order to repay what is typically considered to be normal wear and tear by any other apartment rental complex. Avoid this apartment complex at all costs.
