This used to be my go to local liquor store for over 10 years. Recently it went through a…read moremanagement/ownership change. Service has gone from excellent and some times above & beyond to abysmal. They are removing interesting hard to find items with huge stacks of generic ales. They were previously well known for their craft beers and large variety of different stouts, porters and Scotch ales. Not to mention the wine & spirits selection was amazing. I am now much less interested in utilizing their services so much so that even though they are walking distance to my home, I Uber or bus to Shrewsbury or utilize delivery services to get the selection & variety I want.

If you were lucky enough to walk in on a day the distributor dropped off Blanton's, you'd walk out with a $60 bottle of Blanton's. Now, that same bottle is over $100. I get it ... the world is crazy for bourbon and asshole flippers create 'bourbon hunting' groups that clean out any store in 10 minutes which is nice enough to put out bottles of the hard to find stuff at MSRP. It's hard to blame a store for price gouging a bit to make up on the back end. But ... it's also hard to respect a store that charges $70 for a $25 bottle of Weller Special Reserve or $110 for a $50 bottle of Colonel E.H. Taylor. If my feedback accounts for anything, I'd often stop in here to see if today was 'the day' I'd get a hard to find bourbon at MSRP. 90% of the time, but I always walked out with some wine, liquor or beer that I could have paid 20% less for at Total Wine or Wegmans. Now, I don't even bother going in as I know, even if there is a hard to find bottle, I'm going to be paying way more than I should for it. Having said that, if you are into decent wine, an okay whiskey and bourbon section and a small, but better than most places around it, craft beer department ... Colony is better than the stores in surrounding towns of Oxford and Millbury. I'd pick Total Wine or Yankee Spirits all day over this place now that they are offering secondary pricing on their hard to find bottles.

"this must be a dream" i thought, but i am not going to get into an argument with a mentally ill man. we concluded our purchase and before we could leave he scolded us once more for not having the "right license." this is no way to treat cash paying customers and only proves why this establishment is always empty. me and my boys will never purchase alcohol from rhis store again until we receive an apology for this terrible service! shame.

Well that was 2 days ago so my final attempt to call today and he HUNG UP on me!!!! Terrible customer service all he cares about is $. I know it's only $20 but it's the principal. I extremely disappointed and I will no longer support any of his stores!! I had to call my bank to dispute amount instead of him just doing the right thing.
