As of 2026, there are additional locations in Attleboro, Norwood, and Swansea. I recently made a trip to Yankee Spirits while I was passing through the Sturbridge area. I have visited before, but this was my first visit in about six years or so. They have an absolutely enormous selection of alcoholic beverages, but I was only interested in exploring their very impressive selection of craft beer. I don't make it to this area very often, so I was most looking forward to see if they carried anything that's either hard to find or just totally unavailable in my home area of New Haven, Connecticut. I spent maybe a half hour just walking down the aisles and seeing what all of the options were. Afterwards, I was ready to begin shopping. I ended up purchasing a pretty sizable haul which should keep my refrigerator full for a while. Most of the beers I grabbed were rare barrel-aged stouts, but I also picked out a few IPAs and other various styles that no longer get distribution in my home area. If you're looking for a serious selection of excellent craft beer, wine, or spirts in New England then look no further than Yankee Spirits!

An obscure cider brand from Michigan you tried once on a vacation? Not only do they have it they have a variety from that same brand. Want a wine you can only describe in flavor and maybe to e color of the label? They got someone that can hunt it down for you. Don't know how to host a tasting event? They created the PhD on the subject. It's actually not a good place if you get overwhelmed easily as the store has about 800% inventory at all times and they span from the basics to absolute top shelf temp/humidly controlled storage for basically anything you can drink. Staff is so helpful they make shopping pleasant - I went in looking for Marsala wine to make a chicken dish and after talking to a wine person there I had 3 more dish ideas and left with something completely different than Marsala wine - and it was incredible. Perfect recommendation. The most selection of liquor , the largest variety of cider and microbrews and a staggering selection of wine, again I can't see a reason to go elsewhere anymore.

This used to be my go to local liquor store for over 10 years. Recently it went through a…read moremanagement/ownership change. Service has gone from excellent and some times above & beyond to abysmal. They are removing interesting hard to find items with huge stacks of generic ales. They were previously well known for their craft beers and large variety of different stouts, porters and Scotch ales. Not to mention the wine & spirits selection was amazing. I am now much less interested in utilizing their services so much so that even though they are walking distance to my home, I Uber or bus to Shrewsbury or utilize delivery services to get the selection & variety I want.

In high school, we'd often stop there in the mornings to stock up on Jolt cola and other necessities. I have very fond memories of this litle store. I stopped in to pick up some booze on my way to my parent's house for a visit. I hadn't been in there in years and I was greeted by a bright, clean, modern-looking space. A major upgrade from the dingy decor of yesteryear. However, and maybe it's just because there's more space now, the store looked practically empty to me. There was only one or two of everything on the shelves which just made it look depressing. And, any store that calls itself a package store should have a decent booze selection, which sadly, this place did not. I wanted red zinfandel for me and blue curacao to make my mom "that magic blue drink you made me this summer" as she called it and neither were to be found. Sooooooo, 2 stars for the less than adequate selection of booze and an extra star for the upgrades to the store.

Now in just a few short years they have opened a brand new store that's is 20x bigger and 200x busier they have every specialty wine and micro brew you could imagine, The prices are better than anyplace around and I have checked , Thru the growth and change they are still the same local heros and they still call you by name.
