I used Bacon's to provide a beer and wine service for a party. If I could give this place (and Charlie in particular) 6 stars, I would. Bacon's made the complicated process of serving alcohol at a private event (eg: permits, volume estimates, selecting drinks that everyone will like) so easy for me. Charlie was my go-to person for my event and he was phenomenal. He handled everything and anticipated my needs and even handled things that I didn't even know needed handling. He served at my function and was pleasant, professional and helpful, everything you want in a bartender. They carry a great selection at the store but if you don't see what you are looking for, just ask and if they can make it happen, they will! Their prices are very reasonable as well. I would definitely recommend this place for anything from picking up a six pack to providing a bar service for a huge event. read more

Bacon's is a large, clean, well-stocked liquor store, in a great location, with a friendly staff and reasonable prices. They have a large variety of micro-brews, local brewery offerings (Wachusett, Harpoon, Sam, etc.), in addition to large stocks of many different varieties of wines, and the liquors and cigars you would expect of any liquor store. They also have four deposit machines, and are connected to Brad's Deli--a deli worth a visit in its own right. read more

Bacon's is the best liquor store overall in Hudson and my personal favorite in town. Beer wise they stock crafts, domestics, imports, mini-kegs, and you can order kegs. They've got a walk-in cooler with more beer for those without a fridge at home. They stock wine from just about every wine growing region and grape varietal, including a sizable - though, unfortunately, recently diminished - section of Portuguese wines. They've got all the kinds of liquor you'd need, from well to top shelf, and accoutrements like bottled mixers and bitters. It's a clean, well-organized, decent-sized store with a respectable selection and for most occasions you should find what you're looking for here. That being said, some of the other reviews make it seem like a huge store with a boundless selection of wicked obscure craft beers and liquors, and that's not really the case. It's the biggest store in Hudson, for sure, but it's not as big as some of the serious specialty liquor stores in the area, such as Julio's in Westborough or Yankee Spirits in Sturbridge. And though they have a decent quantity of craft beers, with a strong craft exemplar from pretty much every region in the US, they have very few international crafts and it's rare you'll find even more obscure New England craft beer here. Certainly not a dealbreaker, but good to know if you're a craft beer devotee like me. read more

Aside from the friendly service the selection is great the carry a wide wide selection of wines and liquors as well as an awesome selection of beers: small batch stuff, growlers, hard ciders a plenty. Nice kid helps me find the wine that I want, hipster dude with big stupid earplugs just stands there and looks at you when you put your stuff on the counter. It's like, hello, how about saying hello and a smile. The prices here are great, the service here... Not so great. It seems like the younger kids are more into helping you then the hipster dudes. The owners are wonderful, and always have been. They will always converse with you and make you feel like you're welcome. Hipster with giant earplugs? Not so much. read more

Sorry for the 2stars Bacon's it's not for your store or products it is towards the help staff. I have gone numerous of times to look for a peticular beer and ask the clerk we're it's located or looks it up on the computer and tells me. Yes sir it says we stock it and then I ask were would it be located. And that's we're the chase begins. Bacons has decent prices and selection but they essentially scold me for having an out of state license every time I try to purchase something from their business. They ask for my car registration AND visually inspect my car in addition to my license, with a significant air of pretentiousness that is totally unwarranted.
