There are the Dollar General Market and Family Dollar stores in town also, so there is a little competition for prices. But this store does have a much larger selection than the other two stores in town. So if you don't want to, or can't, drive the 15 miles to Livingston Walmart or 16 miles to H-E-B then this is your best option. They also have the Tobacco Barn and gas station on the parking lot.

My review is in regards to the pharmacy, the attitude from the staff and the pharmacist…read more So basically in short if you have a chronic illness that does require a controlled substance I do not recommend this pharmacy, today the staff was denying my medication I explain the app says it's ready a couple days after they receive it... istaff says no it'll be an additional day from that and the state will deny my medication .....and was frankly rude kinda made me feel like a junkie, I explain that I'm a chronic patient and the rules she's explaining does not pertain to me, She's not educated enough to comment so I'm connected to the actual pharmacist........ now I have a chat with them, explain my situation of meds and dose change and etc etc pharmacist from there is basically raising her voice also making me feel some kind of way and I again explain my situation...... after being accused of abusing my medication and I have to defend myself with this pharmacy they run my prescription........ "it'll be ready after lunch" So I had to educate the pharmacist and the staff on state laws all while being treated like a certain kind of person. In short I will no longer use that pharmacy and do suggest other to kindly take your business across the street if they're in my situation of organ failure.

Six times in a row they have gotten something wrong. Impressively, it always seems to be something different. I did not realize there were that many ways to screw up a simple doctor's order but they have shown me new horizons of fallibility. I desperately miss my HEB pharmacy in Midland. At this point I am seriously considering driving an hour and a half round trip to Huntsville simply to go to their HEB. If Yelp would allow a 0-star rating I would have used it here. They didn't earn even 20% approval.

I placed the order early in the AMs. Despite this, my order wasn't ready at 8PM. Slightly before this junkhouse, I mean Walmart, closed. So I had to go drive to brookshire, where I had an incredible experience. You can I'll also have to mention that this Walmart only has swimming trunks that are the 3x size in the winter time. In summary, I recommend this Walmart to those who are extremely large in winter and need 3x swim trunks. OR those who like altering their plans and putting their only food for the week on the edge. Fruit, Veggies: fresh carrots, green beans, oranges, OJ, peppers, onions, mixed cut veggies, blueberries, apples, celery, broccoli, sweet potatoes, even asparagus- all looked great - and were good prices Sliced cheese, granola- 3 different kinds, croissants, tasty fresh bread, sandwich meat. Huge selection of all those two. Then, since I was hungry- brownie bites, 2 kinds of gelato (tiramisu gelato ) milk, tea, pistachios.... I needed Benadryl gel, & liquid - both on sale. And a cute cotton shirt also ended up in the cart- on sale $9!! Lots of reduced prices. A great shopping trip. Food for a couple weeks and healthy choices in the grocery area. Walmart carries them, but theirs used Velcro that did not hold very good and came apart. I thought I was going to have to go to Houston for a simple arm sling. I called Lifecheck and the woman that I spoke to was very nice and let me know that carried arm slings and they were not the Velcro kind. I got to the store a little after 5 and easily found the sling, made the purchase and was on my way in more comfort than when I arrived. They have some other stuff there too like nick-nacky things, candles, and some toys. I have not used Lifecheck as a pharmacy though because I use the VA so I cannot comment on that aspect of the store. The attendants were really nice though so I imagine the pharmacy service is fine. It is a smaller place, but its also in a smaller town.
