Bark Park is one of the nicest dog parks I know around Columbus. It's located at Brooksedge Park in Westerville. There are some fountains for dogs which is fun in the summer. It has two sections for big or small dogs. The park is located near lots of other open areas and trails. I like the location because it's a good location. It's off Schrock Road near a few other good parks and trails. These include Blendon Woods and Sharon Metro. It has some cool stuff like the fountains. The park isn't that big and dog owners can be messy and leave shit behind. It's maintained fairly well though so the park is usually clean. The weekends are often busy and owners are not always in control. I thought Bark Park is a good small park to let your dog loose in. It seems well maintained and is close by to some other parks. The location is great and you can easily get to other places to walk your dogs around there.

Very, very fun. Keep your little/tiny dogs in the designated little/tiny dog section and keep your big/husky dogs in the designated big/husky dog section, and all will be just dandy. There are three or four corrals for dogs to run around free in and even a section by the reservoir that has a corral for dogs to run around in and get wet. It was a little chilly the day we went here, in February, but it was fun.

Well kept and not too busy with 4 separate areas.

Great dog park! Well maintained; good amount of dogs but not an overwhelming amount. Has poop bags and water bowls handy. Has three areas but most consistently a large dog area and small dog area are open. It does have a few agility equipment pieces in the large dog area but not enough to run a course.

Large gated area with water and clean up bags. Very easy to get in the areas separated by size.

Great mix of dogs, friendly people, well maintained facilities... This may become our neighborhood fog park!

Our dog use to hate other dogs until we brought him here... not only does he get a good work out but we have met a lot of new friends!

Great place. Small dog area has a huge mud area so bring towels and expect your dog to get dirty!

Beautiful park, with PLENTY to see and do, even on a cold-ish, cloudy day. I made a quick, last…read moreminute detour here on a recent visit over to Columbus, and was really glad I did. Lot of trails (though not QUITE as well-marked as this directionally "challenged" hiker might like!!) and there's also a nice nature center, full of great displays, and apparently, some interesting community events (and great restrooms!!). I parked near the nature center, got my bearings, and decided to hike the shorter orange and yellow trails, which looped me around back to where I started in the parking lot area. Beautiful, lots to see, "somewhat" well-marked, but I made it out, so very do-able!! I wanted to also take the "Lake Trail," but didn't realize at first that it was the paved trail that started at the Nature Center. Once I realized I was heading in the right direction, it was a quick, easy trek to the two observation "shacks" on the shores of the park's beautiful Thoreau Lake. DON'T skip this short, scenic hike... Well worth the trip!! Blendon Woods (and all the other Metro Parks in the region) is a GREAT place for a day (or more...) in nature. Picnic pavilions, playgrounds, educational programs at the nature center, lots of trails... Definitely a four season GEM!! Check it out!!
