Beautiful. Serene. Scenic. Lots of natural wooded areas, fields, and animals. Saw several deer, many bunnies, a coyote, and a chipmunk!

Update: I love this park. Its incredibly dog friendly. The front park has been closed all winter. Thought with two nice days in a row it would be open since it is March. Nope. No biggie... there is a paved path that one can use to walk up to the back all season park. We thought he might go on the .25 mile trail next to the front park/ dog park... nope. They have chosen a cheaper rock... well this new rock is true builder slag. They are huge and he flat out refused to go more than twenty steps into it. He insisted on walking on the muddy tree line to avoid the big rocks. Lol. The woman coming off the trail saw me giving up on my walk, picking him up and said "yeah, I think this new rock hurts their feet". I replied.. "it hurts my feet!" So we both used the pavement path and everyone was happy!!! Tip: If you want to use the .25 mile bring dog hiking booties. The new stones hurt smaller dogs feet and are inappropriate for a dog path. Eventually they will settle into the ground and not be a hazard to the little ones paws, but until then....if you have booties you might want to bring them. The rest of the park is a 10/10. You will find lots of routes to go with your dog here.

What a park for everyone. Lots of trails for you and your family, including your puppers. There are two dog parks. One is an all weather play area and the front park is for only when the weather is nice. It has a water feature for the dogs to play in. Great playground, workout structures, clean restrooms, and trails for walkers, cyclists, and even horses. So happy to have this as a resource for our community.

This is a nice park for walking. Great trails and there is one for off-leash dogs, which is cool. There is a dog park, restrooms, and plenty of parking. There is even a horse trail, which perplexed me. Do you bring your horse in a trailer to the park, rde a bit, then go home? Maybe for people in the area who have horses? Unsure, but interesting. It is next to Bevelhymer Park, and you can connect easily. We usually walk over that way too.

Over the years, there have been some more additions to Rocky Fork. It now offers two dog parks, with an "all weather" one available in addition to the one near the entrance, which has its own little picnic area and parking lot. There is also a short pet trail, as well as a 3 mile Bridle Trail for horseback riders. There are two main trails for those on foot, including the 1.3 mile paved Beech Woodland trail that offers some interesting sights like an old building, a giant tree with a hollow space, and the like. We also saw coyote run through on our recent visit. The other is the 1 mile grassy North Meadow trail, which offers views of a pond in addition to the meadow. There are a couple of shorter connector trails, as well. The shelter here is really nice, offering nice views of the meadow from some adirondack chairs, in addition to a fireplace, a couple of grills, and several picnic tables. It is located close to a couple of trailheads, the restrooms that are located in a structure that resembles a historic mill, and the playground. The playground offers several fun features, including a slide, a deck, logs to balance on and stumps to jump between, plus some large boulders for climbing. A nice park to explore!

Rocky Fork is a smaller park - it has a variety of trails that go through the woods and prairie area. There are dog friendly ones and it includes two different dog parks. Also has bridal trails for the equestrian lovers. There's a really nice shelter house with a barbecue and fire pit and lounge chairs. Which is nearby playground with lots of different options for the kiddos.

Today was my first visit to this park in an attempt to visit all of the Metroparks, and complete their passport program. This is a nice park only about 10 minutes from Easton. A few highlights: off lease pet trail (could be longer, it's only 0.3 miles), nice dog park with fountains for our furry friends, nice restrooms, nice play area for kids. Cons: you have to call the ranger or drive to Blendon Woods to get your passport stamped. Overall nice day!

This park has a great enclosed dog park and off lease dog trail. Nice trails. Benches periodically for relaxing. Lots of shade. Picnic pavilions. Clean rest rooms with baby changing. A nice family addition.

Great Park, we built the power lines through the park, which I learned about it. The family has been going ever since great lunch pavilions nice restrooms trails are clean and spacious and plenty of room to push a stroller down the trail nice concrete paths

Park rangers super nice! My dog loves the enclosed dog park with water fountains to splash in during the hot days of summer & walking paths. Happiness having a dog friendly park in the area. :)

Cute little park. Only downfall was the dog park portion has been closed. And on the trails dogs are permitted off leash.

You can get a nice walk in with the looping combo of paved trail and boardwalk/bridges. There are a few shelters and trees around to help with the sun a bit. On the far end is a playground, with a very nice large shelterhouse with picnic tables. The playground is a lot of wood, metal, and climbing nets, and has sections for ages 2-5 and 5-12. By far the biggest draw appeared to be the very tall, fast slide, accessible via climbing net. There are benches available, and play shades available in one section. A nice sized parking lot is available too.

Huge space to roam, hike, see natural habitats and also let the kiddos climb, slide and swing, etc. -- I did not see restrooms. But didn't get to see all the trails. The paths are mostly gravel and natural elements with a touch of modern engineering here and there. Covered shelter picnic area available. (See pics) Cannot see park from the parking lot. So littles with necessary diaper changes and meltdowns may pose a difficult space to take a break in the car. Parking is a trek from the actual playground. Plan accordingly.

It is a relatively new park (about 5 years old) and has a somewhat non-traditional playground. The playground at Johnston-McVay is actually divided into two sections: * the upper section (closest to the parking lot) features the HAWK, a large wooden climing structure and some "roller slides". This area offers a lot of opportuity for climbing and creative play. * the lower section (closer to the road) has both traditional swings as well as a very unique swing that aloows up to 5 or 6 kids to swing togehter at the same time. My granddaughter and four or five newly found friends were swinging and singing a pirate ditty - pretending that the swing was a pirate ship. One of the nicest features of the park is that there are plenty of benches (some traditional - some large blocks of stone) for parents and grandparents to sit. The park also offers a nice mix of sunny and shady areas.

Modern Nature inspired playground equipment: swings, climbing structures, and most recognizable - Hawk/Nest. The trail around the park has placards that mark a "story path" sponsored by Westerville Library. From the looks of it, it will be a rotating story every few months. Natural play area includes creek access and some large stones for crossing the creek. Park does have a restroom. Great fun for a variety of ages of children. Be sure to stop by!
