The "painting" was another joke, they literally did the cut in and left. Kitchen was roach infested and we had to get rid of them ourselves. ​We moved in on the 8th(no fault of ours) but no pro rate. They charged us the whole month. Repairs? Dont hold your breath. We rented at 700. Mth, then it was raised to 800. Now they want 1,000. for this 70's heaven!!!

No questions asked. That is why she keeps the same people for years. She has always been able to pay her rent. John knew everything. So did the owner. It is ok. She always had another place to go. She just did not want to be 15 mins out of town. So take it from me. The heck with Wise Choice. She was not perfect. She always paid, she fixed what needed to be fixed and you never offered her a dime. She never said a word. I hope you enjoy messing people over. Especially a old Vet who fought for your freedom just to treat his daughter like dirt and not even listen to her. One thing for sure. She is a survivor. They claimed to send email reminders to renew for the 2024-2025 year and I never recieved any. They never called to ask if I was planning to. I didnt know the renewal deadline. When I called to ask, they told me they rented my unit already. Now, after springing that on me, they expect me to pay a FULL months rent for the 15 days of July I will be there. Never, with any other company have I had to pay a full months rent if the lease ended early in the month. It has always been a prorated rent for the days I was there. It is highway robbery!!! This company should be ashamed of their communication and borderline theft.

The property I rented was nice (because it was almost new) but the company is horrible! The people…read moremoving out of the unit were terminating early, meaning they lost all $600 of their deposit ($300 of which is a 'cleaning fee') and Property Mart knew I was moving in on short notice. I asked if they could have the house cleaned by Friday (this was Tuesday) and they said it wouldn't be a problem. Not only was the unit not cleaned, several repairs, including a rip in the carpet, were not fixed because they did not bother to inspect the unit. I requested pest control to come due to the large amount of spiders, but after six months of never receiving more then 'we'll get back with you', I gave up. I also asked them to fix a broken cabinet hing in the kitchen, which they did four months later, but did so by coming in the house while I was asleep. When I moved out, they kept half of my deposit as ANOTHER cleaning fee, then only returned $170 of the remaining $300 due to the preexisting hole in the carpet, a dirty air filter (which I replaced when I moved in), and holes in the wall from hanging pictures (no part of the lease, which I read 3 times prior to moving out, stated I needed to patch the holes). When I tried to complain, they said I would have to appeal in writing after I received the actual deposit check and list of charges. What they didn't say was I would only have 60 days to do so, the majority of which was spent waiting for the check to be sent (though it was pre-dated to appear as if it was sent sooner, though the post mark proves otherwise) and then re-sent due to them losing my forwarding address. By the time they check finally arrived, they said it was too late to appeal.

I have put in many maintenance requests, only to get half ass jobs. They will send under/unskilled…read moreworkers to do the job just to say something was done about it. For example, I requested the house be sprayed and holes filled for pests. No one ever came to spray, and the holes were filled leaving goop dried to the patio, steps, shrubbery, etc. I had to fight tooth and nail for them to properly fix the front railing that was rotting with exposed nails. When we were having trouble with rodents, to fulfill my request, they left glue traps on my kitchen counter. My house hasn't seen any repairs/updates until I moved in and made the need known. I have recently discovered water damage on my kitchen ceiling. Considering past maintenance requests, I have little to no hope anything will be done about it though. This company makes themselves out to not care for the tenant but only for the rent check. I hope I am wrong about Hendley Properties, but actions speak louder than words.

She went down on the charges for the furniture but not the trash because you can't prove that your house was actually clean. Its a huge scam and she told him over the phone that she would remove hole charges but never did. He ended up owing around 100 dollars when it was all said and done. I tried to go talk to the her in person and I have never been talked to as rudely as I was with their manager. She told me "you can come in my office but we have nothing to talk about" in a sharp voice. I just wanted to ask her some questions and she completely shut me down and was so condecending. That day, I was to be given my assigned room, room (C), following an agreement between THE ISLANDS staff and Mr. Juan Felipe Flores At that time, the front desk called their tenant, Juan Felipe Flores, who lives on the property in room C, which is my assigned room, to find out if he had received the message from THE ISLANDS staff asking him to vacate room C, which was assigned to me. The receptionist informed us that HE had been notified 15 days prior and one day prior that HE would have to move out of room C, since the room occupied by Mr. Juan Felipe Flores is the one assigned to me. Mr. Juan Felipe Flores also showed us the room that was for rent and mentioned how El Ruso is the one who will vacate room C, which is the one being offered for rent. He showed us that he Juan Felipe Flores was occupying room (A). An agreement was reached for room (C) with the rental staff and with Mr. Juan Felipe Flores. I have messages as proof . On Friday august,01 of the 2025 My moving day ,I drove 8 hours with my personal items .My brother missed work because he was helping me, moved in his truck .I suffered financial losses I couldn't use the property They didn't give me the keys because The Islands staff said they had given Mr. Juan Felipe Flores full access to the apartment and that they had never specified which room they would give me, which is why they are acting on bad faith.
