Steven Bragg and his wife Tonya, the owners of Bragg Tree and Stump Removal were very helpful in…read moreremoving the trees that fell on our back porch and into our Sunroom during Hurricane Helene. Tonya came out first on October 2, 2024 and gave me a quote on what it may cost and did a very good job on explaining what is expected when pricing the job out for my insurance company. She explained to me how busy they were due to all the damaged homes but promised me that she would do her best to get them to my house on the following Monday or Tuesday. Patience is very important during disasters and I knew there were plenty more homes worse off than our home. I totally understood if they would have not been able to make it during that timeframe. On Tuesday, October 8, 2024 I was surprised to see Steven Bragg and his crew in my back yard ready to get the trees removed from our house and back porch. Steven started off by explaining to me what was the safest and most efficient way to remove the trees without causing any further damage to our home. His crew went into action and with Stevens guidance completed the job safely and without any further damage to our home. I also had a large pine tree leaning and uprooting from the hurricane and asked Steven for a quote to remove it before it fell on our shed. We agreed on a price along with two other small trees that he had already instructed his crew to remove from my Septic Tank Leach Field before I even asked him too. At first he explained that he would have to slot me in next week for the Pine tree as they were very busy with other houses and buildings with trees on them from the hurricane. I agreed with him but before I knew it he divided his crew and had his main tree climber take care of the pine tree as the others worked on the trees that were on our house. Steven and his crew worked very diligently and completed both jobs in a timely manner. His crew was very respectful and everyone is very personable. Steven and Tonya will not try to gouge you and do their best to give you a reasonable price. They understand that disasters turn your life upside down and they are here to assist you in your current burden as quickly as possible. Update to my review from Hurricane Helene. I am Roger Smith from Statesboro, Georgia and wanted to update my review I left after Hurricane Helene in 2024. I once again called upon Braggs Tree Service this year in January 2026 for a quote to get the stumps removed from around my house that had been taken down by Steven and his crew during Hurricane Helene. I also had numerous stumps that I have been trying to let rot away that just would have taken another century to disappear. We also wanted another tree removed that had the roots going under our cement patio and was leaning too close for comfort toward our house. Not to mention a few trees that needed trimmed due to being damaged from hurricane Helene in 2024. Steven came out within days to give me a quote which again was very reasonable. It was well worth the price to prevent me from trying to take the tree down and causing further damage to my house. I seem to be prone to doing such things. Steven had his crew come by a few days later and within an hour had the tree cut down. I had his guy cut the tree into small pieces so that I was able to load it into my trailer. I luckily had a friend who wanted the tree for firewood. This saved Steven from having to worry about going to the landfill and paying an additional fee to dump the tree there. He also gave me a discount since I was doing the cleanup and disposal. A few days later Steven came by with his Stump Grinder and cleared away over 15 stumps and roots. He was very patient with me as I noticed more stumps and roots that we hadn't talked about removing. He went ahead and cleared them away for me without charging me a penny more. He was here a few hours as it takes time to clear all the roots from the stumps. He makes sure that he cuts deep enough so that he gets the whole root and stump. You can't even tell if there were any trees there. Steven and his crew came by a week later with his Spider Lift to trim the Pine trees that were damaged during the Hurricane. The Spider lift can go about 80 feet in the air and is the safest method for his crew to trim large trees. Once again, I had added more trees to be trimmed, and Steven accommodated me by trimming the ones I have added to the list. He was also nice enough to take a huge limb or more like a trunk of the tree out of my neighbor's tree. It was on the verge of falling out onto their driveway. It was a hazard that we noticed and he took care of it before any person or vehicle had a bad day. My wife and I would once again like to thank Steven, Tonya and their crew for their assistance. If you are reading this review, please stop searching for the right tree removal crew. You have landed at the right place. Please give them your business. You will not regret it!

I was impressed by the thoroughness of the debris clean up. Both times they did a great job. I would recommend. The crew is super nice and quick to respond as well as fair prices.

I could give you 10 different reasons why I did not do business with these people, but I will leave…read moreit to one main: 1) After I told them that I accepted the proposal and wanted to set a time, they said we could do it "in the next few days." I told them that I would be gone that week, and let's do it when I get back. So they said, "We pencilled you in for the week of Nov. 4. I told them that I have appointments that week, and "Could we do it after Mon. Nov. 12." No reply. On Tuesday, Nov. 4, I did my usual routine of taking my dogs to the groomer for a bath. When I came home, 2 large vehicles were blocking my driveway, and I could not park. No one in sight. Eventually, one fellow emerged from the gate to my backyard returning to the truck. He got the others to follow him--they said we are here to trim the tree, but they were waiting for a smaller lift because the one they had could not fit through the gate. I said, "Well, we were not scheduled for this until next week. "Uh, no. We have you scheduled for today," the leader said. "We will call and talk to the boss." "And when you call your boss, remind him that I still have not signed the contract to do this work. xxxxxx (the salesman) was supposed to come by yesterday to have me sign it." I said. So problem number one: the salesperson did not follow my scheduling requests, problem two: when they arrived they climbed over the gate and trespassed on my property and even unlocked another gate to go down to my dock, and left the both gates wide open. problem three: They were prepared to do the work when there was no signed contract. I could go on with much more, but this was enough for me to lose confidence in this company. If they are this slipshod in preparations to do the tree limb removal, then imagine how it could be with tree limbs over my house being removed. That's enough said.

Superb work. The…read morecrew arrived within the time we set. They greeted me, explained what they were here to do, and we went to the job site to verify my wants. Within 15 minutes they had their vehicle, ropes, and selves in place and were starting the job. They worked effectively and efficiently. These guys were an experienced crew seemingly anticipating each other's needs and actions without much direction or discussion. They removed several large and smaller branches from the tree to maintain the canopy but to remove some lower hanging ones that were too near my house and blocking the light from my patio and yard. Once they finished with removing the wood, they took all of it to the shredder, and then they cleaned their work area of smaller debris following it with blowing the leaves and still smaller debris away. When I need tree work again, I will definitely call them. All work done in less than 2 hours.
