Today, 12 months later after the project was finally completed, Porch Outfitters is removing the awning because they did not get approval from our HOA- a process they said they would take care of. They did not submit the proper paperwork and if they had, we would have known from the start that an awning was not permitted. They have reimbursed us for the awning, but we have no itemized bill for the purchase price of the awning or the labor we paid for it to be installed. WE WARN YOU NOT TO USE PORCH OUTFITTERS. The year long process was horrible, the office unprofessional, and was in no way worth the final outcome. Our entire house was built quicker than this sunroom conversion. One quality/safety issue to note: when they were moving the sliding class door to the exterior wall, we were unable to lock it. After speaking to both the head of the crew and the office manager, it was finally fixed after 6 weeks. The owner asked us to write in our review that the quality of the work was good which it was with the exception of the door lock, but the lack of professionalism of the office was worse than you could imagine. Do not take a chance on them. Please understand how disappointed we are. From the salesman saying it would take 6 months "start to finish," and then later saying "we have made one idiot mistake after another." The "Production" Department is run by a very young man who is easily frustrated and incompetent. Workers in management come and go, and there is fine print in the contract, "no verbal agreements will be honored." Buyer beware with this company. Heed this warning and those given by others.

Our lanai was installed in 2022. The owner moved out December 2023. We moved in March 2024. Shortly…read moreafter, I found with heavy rains the gutter at the house side of the lanai was overflowing into the lanai itself and flooding it. What was done wrong was, someone short cutted from installing the downspout insert in the gutter on top. It was installed with self tapping screws from underneath the gutter body and a 2" dia. hole was drilled on top. Heavy rains overpower that 2" hole and overflow the gutter. I called them and told them my issue. The drain hole on top is supposed to be punched out to match the downspout insert. The outline for the drain hole is still there, there's a tool to accomplish this but ours was bypassed. The lanai itself was installed beautiful it's just the gutter drain hole was incorrectly installed causing my problem. Three e-mails 4 phone calls plus 2 installers came here and all said the 2" dia hole is good. Well it isn't!!!! I also provided two video's of the gutter overflowing with heavy rain . My issue is closed as far as they are concerned but it was done incorrectly, so if you have a lanai installed don't pay until you inspect the downspout insert!

We were set up with a date and time for him to come out at least 3 times, everytime he never showed or had an excuse as to why he could not come out. We were told that he would be able to give us a quote via email if we sent pictures, pictures were sent and then we were informed he would have to come out. That never happened. We have now had to go back to square one again, looking for a contractor to help us with repairs after we discovered a roof leak and subsequent water damage in our home we just purchased.

The exterior of the house was almost completely destroyed by wood rot and the previous owners neglect. He and his staff worked tirelessly for months to get the house back into shape. He does not cut corners, he cleans up after each day and he is reliable in finishing the work. Renovations can be stressful and I definitely felt calm knowing he was taking care of everything and I would have no problems in the future.

They took 100% payment for tile without disclosing it wasn't in stock--only told us after we paid that it would take 3-4 weeks to arrive. When we canceled due to delays, they tried to charge a 55% restocking fee on what was in stock. 2. We prepaid for shower glass and had it measured. Three weeks later--after zero communication--they told our contractor they had canceled the order and didn't want to do the job anymore. 3. We gave them a 50% deposit for countertops and backsplash after multiple meetings. Then they casually informed us it would be another 3-4 weeks before installation, so we canceled again. To top it off, the owner told my contractor he still wanted his business--after blatantly ghosting us. That says everything you need to know. Avoid this place at all costs.
