She greeted me with a smile and said what a beautiful day it was, even though it was raining! She filled me in on the washers suggested which was the best for my King quilt. It was $6.00 for the load.I was short a few quarters and was headed for the change machine,when she handed me $2.00 in quarters. I only needed .50 so I went to give her the rest back and she told me to keep it for the dryer.She was so friendly.They are upgrading the washers and trying to build business so I told her I'd give her a review. The good: *It's open 24 hours…read more *One of the two coin machines work. *I do feel safe doing my laundry there after dark. *A few of the machines are operational. *Short walk to Dollar General to get washing supplies. The bad: *A very old and tired laundromat. *Half of the dryers are out of order. *Half of the operational dryers don't heat sufficiently enough to dry your clothes for under $2 *Machines are old and rusty. *No chairs or anywhere to sit (unless you jump up on one of the tables used to fold clothes) while you wait for your laundry to wash-dry. *Dirty machines When I was there, an entire row of large capacity washing machines were broken, except for one, and I witnessed a woman pulling her soaking wet clothes out of it. I'm guessing the spin cycle was broken, therefore, that one should be labeled broken as well. I am unaware of who owns this laundromat, but they obviously don't care. It seems as though they only care about sitting back and banking those quarters, rather than investing them into fixing broken machines, updating them, or hiring someone to keep the machines clean.
