Paid $75 for a tow to Martin Automotive only to have Joey not even touch our vehicle. I have all…read morethe text messages to prove how untruthful he was to me. Claiming he was working to get our power steering pump replaced stating it needed a serpentine belt that he ordered and was waiting on. Then wouldn't answer phone calls. I specifically told him we were on our way to Orange Beach and needed it fixed ASAP. He said he could get it done it a couple hours and send us on our way. Only to try and put us off till the next day. I had to pay for an Uber to go and get my van and drive it with bad power steering pump to save the rest of our family vacation. When I got to his place he wouldn't answer the door. He had his uncle give excuses why he hadn't touched our vehicle. My family lost an entire days vacation time in this situation. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS GUY!!!!!!

I bought a used car. Joey did a lot of work to it to try to get it running and after all he did,…read morethe engine crapped out so he had to put a new used engine in it. He did not charge me for any of the work he had done before he put in the new engine. he also found and changed the axle and CV joints in the front. on top of that, I found another concern after he had delivered the car and he came and picked the car up for me and changed the brakes. I am so happy to find an honest mechanic with such high integrity I would highly recommend him. Thanks again, Joey!

AR Towing and Alfonso are the BEST! My husband and I were heading back to Iowa from Gulf Shores,…read moreAL on a Saturday afternoon. Suddenly our pick up issued an overheating warning and we had to pull off to the side of a busy I-65 highway. After quickly checking for tow and repair companies, I called AR Towing & Repairs. Alfonso and his daughter, Ruby, thankful answered and came out immediately. We had a shredded fan belt. They drove us back to his shop, offered us chairs and water and got to work. Within 90 minutes, our truck was fixed AND he checked the rest of the engine compartment to make sure nothing else was damaged. He then took it for a test drive to make sure all was working correctly. We were blessed that our truck stopped where it did. We met good people and are thankful for their expertise!! I highly recommend AR Towing, Repairs and Sales!

My daughter's vehicle broke down on the side of the highway while we were on our way to drop her…read moreoff at college. I called several mechanics in Lewisburg, but no one else was available to service the vehicle on a Friday afternoon. Alfonso was the only mechanic who responded right away and came to our location immediately. After I explained the issue, Alfonso quickly diagnosed the problem and was able to repair the vehicle on the spot. He took his time to carefully check the car and made sure there were no other issues before sending us back on the highway. Alfonso was truly a lifesaver! He was professional, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make sure we were safe. If I'm ever in this area again and need help, I will definitely be calling Alfonso. Highly recommend!

Do not recommend this repair service. My elderly father took his 2005 Nissan in for a tune up and…read morerepair as it was missing. They installed the wrong plugs in the vehicle ( Not OEM or recommended by Nissan) and replaced the "wires". Charged $$$. Received the vehicle back and it ran worse than before. Took it back and they kept it another week, told us that they needed to order a part that would take a month to get( solenoid). We ended up taking the vehicle to another certified mechanic who advised that Strickland's installed the wrong plugs, didn't change the intake gaskets which are supposed to be part of a tune up and should have picked up the solenoid issue on the original diagnostic report. New mechanic had parts ordered and the car running in great shape within 2 days. Contacted Strickland to discuss the issues and kept being told they would call us back. Finally made a personal visit to the shop only to be told 1) they ordered the parts that the computer told them to and that is when they could find the solenoid 2) they meant boots since there are no wires on the spark plugs 3) they don't really work on newer vehicles... since when is a 2005 considered a newer vehicle. 4) the intake gaskets "looked ok" so they didn't replace them. 5) the mechanic must have misread the original defect and didn't capture the solenoid issue We posted a review on Facebook detailing the same and Strickland's has removed the ability to see all reviews from their page. Definitely a 'shade-tree" mechanic and not recommended
