My hearing ear dog Whoopi always knows she's in for a lil treat when we go to the Brooklyn Park Pub.

Always welcoming and the best food in the neighborhood. Classic dive bar. They do need to get the Groundhog movie on a loop back up on the video though imho.

I'm not going back home.

I don't think there could have been a more appropriate bar for me to venture into. Yes it is called Brooklyn Pub, in a part of Portland called Brooklyn, and I have to be a born & breed Brooklynite visiting, but it was divey, had inexpensive beer, and the largest selection of whiskey in all of Portland. Did I mention Rockem Sockem Robots? This was the first bar I was visiting on a beautiful Saturday afternoon after stuffing my face elsewhere. I came for some drinks, but I got so much more. Our bartender was great. She was funny, friendly, and knew how to do her job. That whiskey selection is amazing. If you like fine whiskey, this is your spot. They had lots of televisions so I got to see some Mets and Islanders action while in the bar. One televisions is dedicated to Groundhog's Day. Yes the Groundhog's day with Bill Murray. How do you ask? Well they play the movie all day, everyday! The backyard is gorgeous. It was a great way to soak up some sun. Best of all they had Rockem Sockem Robots which I hadn't played in forever. I still got it though. Undefeated champ of the day! Alas, eventually it was time to explore some more of Portland, but Brooklyn Pub was indeed my favorite.

Best burger ever! Great bar tenders!! Love this spot!!!

Whiskey isn't my poison of choice, so the selection was somewhat limited. I settled on a screwdriver, which was just okay. There were only about 3 vodkas to choose from, and I hadn't heard of any of them. Plus side: *They have UNO, Rock Em Sock Em Robots, and darts! *Their digital juke box had some fun songs. *Staff has always been friendly and welcoming. I don't think this pub is for me though.

That bartender, Brie, she's just the worst. The food is always good. Always polite. Not what I want from a dive bar.

I would've given them 0 start if I could. Took them forever to cook my food and the service just sucks.

For Years I had seen this place and wondered what it was like inside but just never felt too…read morestrongly to go and explore , until this Halloween evening where we were so late bar hopping that this was only one of the few places left open . Its a dive bar so not too much to expect from ambiance plenty of seating n quirky decor. The place had a Halloween theme going and plenty of people in costumes which was fun to witness. You can order the food and drinks at the bar and then grab a seat. Everything is fast and no fuss . Drinks are cheap ,food is greasy and good times are a guarantee

Low Brow Lounge is my kind of place. It has that true dive bar backbone, but it's comfortable…read morewithout losing its edge. The vibe is dive bar meets eclectic randomness, with weird things all around that somehow just work. They serve RC pop, which I loved. It's a subtle nod to how long they've been around and the fact that they're not chasing trends. The bartenders were fantastic. Attentive and personable, and they actually know what they're doing. They properly shake a martini, come to your table to grab empty glasses, and wipe down surfaces without making a production out of it. It's relaxed, but they clearly care. You can sit back and enjoy your own company or belly up and end up in conversation learning the history of the place. A little weird, totally unpretentious, and absolutely somewhere I'd go back to.

Wasn't sure what to expect when coming here, but it is actually a really chill spot…read more It's been in business since 1902 and has a lot of cool stuff inside. Even an older style photo booth. They have a great selection of beer and cocktails. The bartenders are cool. We came back another time during the week and were welcomed back. The food menu could use a little work as it is pretty basic--but has enough choices of your average bar food. We would definitely return!

The most un-Portland bar in Portland. I'd label it a faux dive bar. Sure, it looks great with all…read morethe neon glow from the street, but other than that, not much else to find joy in here. Like plethora of others in the reviews have mentioned, you are met with security that's far from friendly. My wife and I were greeted by security who held up his hand like he was holding an invisible business card. "ID" is all he said. Sure, no worries, we are in our forties. Hand it over. He then proceeds to ask us about marijuana products on our person..... WAIT, WHAT? This is the Pacific Northwest, my guy. I've seen legit bongs on curbside picnic tables at other bars (Thunderbird on Foster). But this guy wants to peruse your bags trying to find weed. I lied to this securi-nerd, and waltz'd past him. I'm a grown adult, my legal toking is none of your business. Took awhile to get two basic beers. We were met with smiles by staff, but they didn't ask us if we wanted a drink or menu. Finally someone came over and took our drink order. This was a one and done place for us. It has this fake feeling of a PACNW dive bar. It didn't feel legit. It felt put on. Noticed a large table of locals wearing "OREGUNIAN" sweatshirts, and the vibe at this place is just way off. I felt like I was on the East coast--not the West coast. Again, who asks patrons if thy have weed on them with zero explanation? Every single music venue I've been to in Portland could not give less of a crap about your weed vape, so why does this pretend dive bar? What a weird, un-Portland like vibe. The ick is real.
