We have seen much growth and change at Hammond in our 13 years with technology, new facilities on campus, curriculum as it is an environment that knows to excel you can never stop learning and being open to change. Helen Kiser joined the Hammond family this past summer as LS Head and has already won the respect as well as the hearts of students, faculty and families. I know that with her passion for children and positive nature our LS will continue to amaze and engage our students to do great things and more importantly become kind and generous citizens. I have said to many parents that ask about our US, the guidance and dedicated partnership your family receives from the College Counseling Department in 9th-12th grade is well worth the investment of tuition. Keenan opened in 1963 so based on the exterior and interior aesthetic it has been updated with the times. I haven't explored the classrooms or cafeteria only gymnasium, and cannot speak to any teachers employed. Basing the review mainly on what I see it is great shape for being so old, the gym has an awesome mural behind the goal. When I think back to my high school ours didn't come close to this crispness on the color schemes. The multiple State Champ banners are hanging above, the bleachers are retractable not uncommon. The space feels really large inside, there is no stage visible for graduation so unclear where that would take place. We did drive close to track, baseball, football field they are relatively small for a large school. Granted I haven't been inside many high schools in my adulthood but the few I have, Lake City, West Florence this one appears fresher, larger, and updated. I had to take one star away since Mylasia Fulwiley decided transfer from SC.

My granddaughter is so far in her High School credits. Timmerman gave her a good head start on High School courses. Timmerman also provides before and after school programs. Chapin SC the high school you can't miss on way in to Chapin…read more I haven't set foot inside the school but viewing the outside signage and sports facilities this school is better off than most. First off the track is separate from the football field which is not common unless there is funding. I can't see the football field from my vantage point but the track and tennis courts are blue! Apparently the cheer team wins state every year because there is signage to say as much along the road. It says Palmetto's Finest school in lettering along the gym exterior so this must be good? I have encountered some of the high school students around the community and they are mostly polite but don't know the inner workings. Would say not five stars because the high school could have nicer amenities for as much money as city if Chapin has.

Parking was a nightmare. Luckily I had the truck so I was able to go off-roading and make a parking spot along with all the other trucks and suvs. Bathrooms ran out of toilet paper so someone just threw a trash bag with rolls in it at the bathroom entrance. Out of all the places we traveled to this season, this was definitely the worst venue for such a large comp.
