The space smells horrible -- like urine and bleach -- and dogs in the facility always sound horribly sad. (We've been to numerous doggie daycares in a great many years of being owned by three successive dogs. They don't always sound or smell this unpleasant.) You receive no information about your dog's day unless you sign up for that "perk" for an additional surcharge. (This really rubs us the wrong way!!) They pep your dog up at pickup by giving them a biscuit right before they open that last door, but I have my doubts about whether or not our little girl has actually had an enjoyable day. She always needs to relieve herself as soon as we pick her up, which means that the daycare is not giving her enough opportunities to go during her time there. She is exhausted, not as a result of good physical activity, but because she hasn't been able to sleep or rest during the day. Prices keep increasing and are now higher than many doggie daycares in NYC (where rent is, I'm quite sure, much more expensive). We've met some pleasant employees (including our favorite, a woman who claims she doesn't like people, but is actually quite kind). But I have to concur with Elana that some are just unhappy, rude, and strangely power trippy. Luckily, we've found great sitters and walkers through Rover and some wonderful neighbors. Fingers crossed that we never have to use Unleashed again.

At first Unleashed was ok only because it was close to my home so it was very easy for me to drop her off when I needed to. The part owner Jasmine is extremely rude and has absolutely no personalty, she will only treat you nice on the first day then after that, don't ever expect a hi or any mannerism, I also had a bad experience with one of the staff members I believe her name was Natasha extremely rude and disrespectful, I would come in and always say hey good morning or good afternoon and her response was always half day or full day never no hi or good morning or good afternoon very odd customer service especially when leaving your dog whom is like family, I found myself feeling unsafe leaving my dog there and constantly looking at the cameras, I felt if they can be so rude to me how are they going to treat my dog. I ended up having a dispute with Natasha at one point because I was extremely frustrated with the lack of hospitality. I then called Jasmine the part owner and got the most oddest response from her. She literally told me that she can train her staff till she's blue in the face and it doesn't matter because there gonna do what they want and then followed up with saying she can walk a horse to a river but can't make it drink it. I said WoW I'm done! if you can't control your staff then what kind of business are you running. I feel really bad because the male part owner David actually called me to apologize and offered to help out and also talk to his staff on manners but unfortunately it was too late for me, I will never bring my dog there. The place always smells like dog urine, looks dirty and the staff is constantly on there phones no interactions with the dogs and would stop the dogs from playing by spraying them with water bottles, which is odd, since most people are paying for there dogs to interact with other dogs, I know thats why I take my dog there. All this was witness by me from the cameras. I ended up doing my research and found WAGS in Danbury, OMG upon arriving, the place was so CLEAN AND FRESH and I was greeted with manners and such amazing hospitality. They have over 15 rooms for the dogs to play in both inside and out. There price was cheaper then unleashed and they even offer snacks for FREE! the place and people were amazing. If I can give them 10 Stars I would! nothing compare to Unleashed, which between the untrained staff and cleanliness, they get 0 Stars. My dog doesn't know if a place or staff is good, all she knows is having fun with other dogs, so in that aspect she would love to go to unleashed. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH! THERE ARE WAAAAAY BETTER ESTABLISHMENTS TO TAKE YOUR DOG then Unleashed! Not worth it and my dog would come home smelling really bad every single time!

Since then, I refused to trust anyone local and spent years driving my dogs all the way into NYC just to get them groomed. While our city groomer was great, making that trip from Danbury was exhausting and expensive. ​I was nervous to switch, but I decided to give Corey & Grace at Wags Doggie Daycamp a try, and they completely exceeded my expectations. They were exceptionally gentle with my newest rescue, who has serious PTSD, and took extra care with my special needs pup by using a supportive harness so she didn't have to strain or stand on her hind legs unsupported. ​Seeing how patient, safe, and stress-free all three of my girls were was such a relief. Daisy follows me everywhere when I'm home, so it gives me so much peace of mind knowing she is in a caring and loving environment. I especially love that it is cage free. The dogs are always with someone taking care of them and getting attention. And for a dog mummy like me, being able to check on her through the cameras during the day makes all the difference! I also really appreciate that after her stay I receive a report with updates on how she ate, behaved, and slept. It shows how attentive and caring the staff truly are. Thank you thank you thank you…read more For the last 8 years whenever I took Gracie to the groomer she would come back a complete mess, to the point where she wouldn't sleep or eat for days, we went several times to the vet after having her groomed and it ended up costing us a lot of money it got to the point where we would look for any excuse not to take her to the groomer until it got to the point where she absolutely was in pain from all her hair matting A few days ago we got to that point where we decided she needs to go to the groomer and we reached out on Facebook asking people for a recommendation for a good groomer, close to 90% recommended that we take them to the downtown dog, we where nervous, we knew we are opening a can of warms, we know that we have 2 weeks of broken sleep and hours at the vet ahead of us but we had no choice We dropped off the dogs Monday morning, we where a wreck, we looked for any excuse to call them and see how she is doing (we had both dogs there, but Addison was never a problem) every time we where assured that she is doing fine which was a huge relief. We picked up the dogs expecting to see Gracie shiver and stand at the corner but instead we got a happy dog with its tail wagging excited to see us, at home Gracie right away went to her dish and ate all her pebbles, she fell asleep on her mommy and slept until we got up, she eats she sleeps she is not shivering she is happy and looks so cute with her new haircut. She smelled like a dirty moldy crate as soon as I got in the car and the smell is still lingering! I really regret ever bringing my dog here. I don't think she was even bathed! Her nails were barely cut or trimmed. They also charged way more than other places. Stay away from this creepy filthy place! They didn't even have a business sign up. The whole place was a turn off. Julie Ann comes every day to walk my dog every day for 30 minutes. They use an application where they show you the route of every walk, if the dog peed or pooped, and if fresh water was given with a short summary of what happened during the visit. Julie Ann even alerts me to things like when the sun room in the back of my house was getting too hot for my cat (and things of that nature) when she comes to walk my dog. I can tell she treats my pets as if they were her own. And I really appreciate that, and that's hard to find. I leave everyday for work feeling good that I know my fur babies will be under good care. I am so grateful for Jessica, the business owner as well. She is so professional. She emailed me a month in for a check in asking for feedback if anything could be better. What a stellar business.
