My wife and I needed to have antique furniture moved from storage in Ocean City Md., 2.5 hours to our home in Washington, D.C. We called a realtor with years of experience in the area, and he immediately said, "I know the perfect team." I called, left a message, and received a return call promptly, and we easily made arrangements to meet at the storage site. Tony and his workers did a GREAT job. The crew and truck arrived promptly on time, were professional and very pleasant, worked efficiently and quickly while also being careful. I have moved enough that I know good movers from bad, and they were Really Thorough. Most movers use moving blankets to protect the furniture; Tony & his workers wrapped every single piece in a moving blanket, and then wrapped it tightly in plastic wrap! There was no way any blanket was going to come off, or our family antique furniture broken. They not only moved the furniture, they helped me re-assemble a complicated only antique bed frame that turned out to be more complicated than I had anticipated, but that didn't bother them one bit; They were cheerful and hard-working, excellent problem solvers as we worked out the best way to move large pieces into a small house. Tony even carries a full tool set, knowing it may come in handy re-assembling furniture, which I had never seen before, and was very glad he had on hand, since we needed it. Considering the distance, labor and results, Brookes Moving & Hauling was not only a great value, they should be the model for all movers!
