I've attended her pre-natal yoga class twice a week for 7 months of my pregnancy, and only missed 3 classes. She is an amazing yoga instructor for pregnant women. I also had two individual sessions with her close to my due date which made big differences in my body. The morning after our session, my belly dropped significantly, which was the goal. As far as labor, she was up with us for almost 50 hours, helping us to keep positive through the contractions, trekking the halls of the hospital with me, and sacrificing her own sleep for even a few minutes of mine and my husband's. This, along with her bi-weekly prenatal yoga class throughout my pregnancy, has made a world of difference in my connection to our birthing journey. We will always have a special place in our hearts for this amazing friend and doula. Overall, I highly recommend her services, and will continue to see her for post-natal yoga.

Adriana has a wealth of information on a wide range of areas concerning prenatal, postpartum, fertility, etc. I had a terrible pain in my SI joint and thought "this is just a side effect of pregnancy" but after seeing Adriana just a couple of times for osteopathic therapy, my SI joint is comfortable again and I am walking 2 to 3 miles daily, as well as practicing yoga and functioning in daily life at full term. She was also able to ward off carpal tunnel which was starting to develop in my wrists by targeting the area immediately, I am amazed at what she is able to do! Never did I think at 39 weeks pregnant I would answer "I feel great!" and truly mean it, when someone asks. Adriana is incredible in so many areas and I could not recommend her enough.

Our appointment was extremely calm and informative, the staff there specialize in premies&infants. After our initial appointment we also met with baby chiropractor, baby physical therapist & lactation consultant. The entire staff is extremely nice and welcoming. You can tell they have a passion for babies! They also have weekly mommy & me classes such as baby yoga, feeding boot camp, mom hour, and many more. But of course when it comes to babies and pregnancy, the amount of information is overwhelming and it's hard to find reliable sources. Balanced Baby is a great resource for new and even experienced mamas who need any guidance, which sometimes your OB/Midwife/Pediatrician can't provide. The Baby On Board class taught me (and my husband) TONS of useful information- not just for labor and birth but for everything you need to know after having a baby! The class covered lactation, breastfeeding, bottle feeding, labor techniques, birth plan ideas, registry recommendations, tummy time ideas, and more. As a bonus, they served a delicious breakfast and gave each of us a gift bag to take home! This is hands down the best class to take as a parent-to-be. They also offer other classes for after baby is born! These ladies are experts in their specialties and have tons of recommendations, based on their own personal and professional experiences. Anything they aren't certified in, they know someone who is and can easily connect you to someone who can help. Again, I can't recommend this place enough for all parents!

From our first phone call to our 6 week postpartum check-up the entire team was caring and attentive and amazingly gracious given the obvious drama that comes with pregnancy. They are truly called to a beautiful service and their bedside manner and humanity with their mamas in unmatched; certainly not something that I believe one could find in a stuffy hospital setting. Because of the women at Sacred Birth we were able to welcome our beautiful baby boy safely and peacefully into the world in the comfort of our own home. I am high strung and a bit of a stress bucket and was especially through my pregnancy but the women with Sacred Birth went out of their way to bring me back down to earth when I needed, supported me every step of the way and truly saw me as another human being and mama to be and not just a patient on a flip chart. They didn't rush our labor at all and took great care to check on our baby boy after every push. We got a beautiful tour of the placenta and plenty of time for the rest of the blood from it to finish loading our baby boy with all of the iron and oxygen that he needed. No quick clamping and cutting with these ladies! I also love how involved my husband was able to be! He was at nearly every appointment and they included him in all of our discussions and answered all of the questions that he posed to them. They suggested reading material which we both benefited from tremendously and they really empowered us to be a birthing team in our own unique and intuitive way which we are now able to carry through into our parenting. I truly miss the entire team and honestly wish I was still able to see them every couple of weeks! I truly cannot say enough about this incredible team and if we end up having another little member of the family they will be the first call we make.

She made my husband and I incredibly comfortable with the idea of having a homebirth for our first child. What I love most about her were that our appointments were never rushed, she was knowledgeable in answering all of our questions and she cared not only for my baby but for me as well. Not just my physical health but my mental and emotional well-being. She listened attentively at my fears and concerns, was a great shoulder to cry on and provided resources to help. There is no doubt in my mind because of her that I was able to have a successful home-birth! look forward to being under her incredible care for my second birth!

I first met with Michelle for a consultation, where she assured me she would personally handle my entire pregnancy, be on call 24/7, and be present for all appointments. Based on that representation, I paid the $1,500 registration fee. However, at my first prenatal appointment--at 19 weeks--I was suddenly assigned to a completely different midwife without any notice or explanation. The midwife (Robin) appeared inexperienced and unsure of how to perform even basic clinical tasks: * She struggled to operate the balance scale and gave me a weight that was clearly inaccurate. * She incorrectly calculated my due date by four months, despite having my last menstrual period date in front of her. * She could not confidently locate my baby's heartbeat, confused my pulse with the fetal heart rate, and claimed the "fetal heart rate was low" without certainty. * She took my blood pressure over a thick long-sleeve sweater, which is not proper medical procedure. * She then told me to go directly to the emergency room, claiming she had called ahead to have a bed ready. This caused extreme panic and emotional distress. Additionally, if she genuinely believed this was a medical emergency concerning my unborn child, she should have called an ambulance, not told a pregnant woman to get on the highway and drive herself while terrified. That is a fundamental violation of basic safety protocol. While driving--shaken and scared--I called the center back and asked for Michelle. Only then did I learn that I should not go to the hospital and instead return to the birthing center immediately. Michelle also mentioned she had dinner plans, which was unprofessional given the crisis her staff had just created. When I returned, Michelle immediately reassessed me. She used the Doppler and her handheld ultrasound, confirming that my baby was moving normally and not in any distress. She found the heartbeat quickly and without any issue. My baby was perfectly fine. The earlier panic, incorrect information, and poor clinical judgment were completely unnecessary and unacceptable. I have worked in the legal field for over five years, and everything about this experience raises serious concerns about medical malpractice, negligence, and unsafe clinical practices. I requested a full refund and will no longer be receiving care here. I will also be reporting this incident to the Florida Department of Health, as no expectant mother should be subjected to incorrect medical information, unsafe instructions, or avoidable fear. Expectant mothers deserve competent, consistent, and safe care--not panic, confusion, and contradictory assessments.

She prepared us for what to do after delivery based on our desire to BF as long as possible which was great because when he wasn't latching because he was too sleepy possibly delivery we knew what to do. During this consultant I found out she is also a sleep consultant which I had lots of questions about as well. A few days after coming home I had her come over again and she really helped to get us settled while my milk transitioned from colostrum to milk. Now almost 2 months in she us supporting us with sleep training and I couldn't be happier to have her. She didn't seem like she has much experience. She didn't do an oral exam on my baby, didn't check for ties, didn't check if he has a good seal when he sucks. She didn't size me for a correct flange for my pump. She didn't show me how to use my pump. She didn't show me how to hand express either. One of my nipples was bleeding and she didn't check for the reason. Did he have tension and that caused it? No one knows at this point. Rachel was nice and arrived on time but it seemed like she was more concerned about sending me links to stuff that I should buy rather than finding out what the issue for the slow weight gain was. She recommended a comotomo bottle that most experienced Lactation consultants know that are not breast like and it creates confusion for babies. Lastly of all if you are gonna pay the high price, get a IBCLC, which she is not. A list of IBCLCs could be found here: https://www.ilca.org/why-ibclc/falc I felt like I wasted $300 on nothing!! Don't make the same mistake as me!
