When my brother was discharged from the hospital, facilities were carefully screened because of the severity of his injuries and the level of care he required. Bria was fully aware of his condition and assured us they could meet his needs. That could not have been further from the truth. The two days he spent there were the worst of his life. Upon admission, they did not have the nutritional formula he was prescribed. They did not have his pain medication available, and instead of delaying admission or providing a safe alternative, they borrowed oxycodone from another patient while waiting to stock his medication. This alone is extremely concerning. My brother had a hole in his esophagus and a history of aspiration from vomiting. Despite this, he was overfed, which caused him to vomit repeatedly throughout the night. When he asked the CNA for anti-nausea medication, he was told the doctor was not in the building and they could not bother him overnight. When my brother pressed the call button for help, a CNA entered the room and told him to "shut the f up" and stop pressing the button**. His wound care was completely inadequate. Staff only changed the top dressing and ignored deeper wound care instructions. Two days later, he was sent back to the hospital with an infection. The wound care physician there was visibly upset and stated the wounds were not cared for according to the medical orders. Medication administration was also unsafe. His pain medications were not given on schedule and were administered whenever staff felt like it, despite his severe wounds and documented pain needs. When I called for assistance, a CNA responded holding an energy drink, smelling of cigarettes, and asked if we could wait because she was on a smoke break. This experience occurred in November 2025, and even now, just thinking about what my brother went through causes me anxiety. No patient or family should ever endure this level of neglect. If this is how they treated my 38-year-old brother, I can only imagine how they would treat your elderly loved ones.

This meant you could not see your tax information or paycheck stubs for 3 whole months and the office staff refused to send copies of paycheck stubs. 7 clients in 3 months because some of them lied about their needs for a caregiver. Caregivers are not there to scrub toilets or put in IVs or catheters or to take vitals. We are not nurses or maids. I have dealt with a lot of verbal and emotional abuse from clients from this company. Family members screaming and cussing at me. I have dealt with inconsistent scheduling and promised full time work for consistent clients. The lady in charge of scheduling was inconsistent and unprofessional. She would miss emails from staff and clients and repeat harass call staff and clients. The ex owner and new owner would never write her up or take disciplinary action. Run, don't walk from this company.

We were promised the world when given a tour - the best food, best care, night motion detectors in case they get up at night, call button watches in case they need help, the works! Everything ended up being a catastrophic failure which was a combination of true neglect, staff turnover, overpromising, and lack of problem solving from upper management. Staff would take hours to answer a call alert. That means if your loved one falls off the toilet and presses their watch or the wall string, they could bleed out and never be helped. The excuse was that assisted living alerts were clogging the phones of memory care staff phones, but they never tried to figure it out, or we were told their phones were dead. I constantly had to go get staff if my Mom needed to be changed, or just end up doing it myself if I couldnt find anyone. If your loved ones medications change or they have a lot of meds, make sure to be on top of the staff. There were countless issues with getting the proper meds were I had to go home and grab backup meds when they werent able to fill critical meds properly. Neglect and lies from the nursing staff. i was called one day to be told my mom had fallen but they went through protocol and she was fine. Much to my horror, the ring camera I had in her room showed the fall, two caregivers helping her up and tossing her back on the bed. The nurse never came to do an exam. My mom clearly was shaken up from the fall as she was barely responsive and all the nurse ended up doing was trying to shove pills down my moms throat as she could barely hold herself up. I am crying as I write this thinking about how neglectful this was. I showed the video to the executive director and it was just a shrug. They terminated the Nurse but nothing else was done or changed with protocol. The food portions were abysmal. if you didnt make it to the diner, which my mom didnt because the stroke she suffered caused her to be fearful of being out in the main room, you would be left with the smallest portions. And despite the fact it was known my Mom had trouble feeding herself, they would just leave the food with her and I would come and just see a cold dinner and her not having eaten. The turnover in staff using outside agencies meant that either staff didnt care about their job or they didnt know the personalities and needs of the residents. There were times staff would sit my mom on the toilet and then say they would be right back and leave here sitting on the toilet for 30 minutes - as a fall risk that was absolutely unacceptable. I could go on and on but it was just absolutely awful. There was no way I could sleep at night or take a day off with so much going wrong all the time. There were attempts to create updated plans for her but they were never followed through due to staff turnover or just lack of follow through. Dont let the nice facade of the building and main lobby fool you when it comes to their memory care. Additionally, multiple management members cursed me out when all I was trying to do was ensure my Mom was getting the care promised.

While I ensured her safety, I second guessed my decisions as she vocally struggled to adjust; it was a lot of change particularly for someone who rarely left her home. Did I make the right call, could she live somewhere more affordable, would she outlive her money, etc. I don't even recall what search term led me to Senior Living Experts, but I'm grateful. Rebecca listened to my story and made me feel less alone. She thought where my mom was at was the best option in terms of cost, desired location and care needs addressed, but would do the research and circle back. Volunteers can sign up for as much as they want to do, or opt out for that month; the online portal makes signing up very simplistic nowadays. There are more activities throughout the year (e.g. holiday parties and visits) that are available, which means more options to volunteer. The staff and fellow volunteers are very friendly and range in age from teenagers to retired adults. Lastly, the elderly that we volunteer for are always appreciative, grateful nd love socializing, which makes volunteering that much more fun and rewarding.

I complained about a draft coming from windows, it was cold and the heat did not stop the draft, I was very uncomfortable. The carpeting was not cleaned properly, I had the carpeting cleaned and it was the same company management used, they told me it cost more money to clean up and close to the wall, this is where the dust is and has accumulated, the hallways are the same way, the dust never gets cleaned. The building inside is not modern and not kept-up, the chairs and carpeting needs to be updated, it is 14 years old; the garbage smells throughout the building; the laundry room is not kept-up, full of dust and not clean. So do not rent here thinking it will be kept-up just because it is for Seniors, they take advantage of Seniors, after you sign a lease, you have to stay. I had heavy condensation and ice inside of my windows in the winter when it was very cold outside. The heating unit is inside of a closet and there is an accumulation of dust inside the closet, that can be dangerous, this building has many issues that are not being addressed. My problems never got corrected, so I had to move.
