It took me weeks of going by the shop during posted hours to finally pull up and see the lights on (oh and I called and left 4 messages with no reply). I wanted a gift card for my daughter for Christmas - and was talked into a 3month "membership" which I got. Well it's time for her to make an appointment, so she called and emailed and got a confirmation text. She got to the shop at her confirmed appointment time and it was closed, locked up tight, lights off - Never notified. Complete waste of $200 on this. Horrible customer service - ZERO communication. It's just horrible. On the site, they'd obviously rather teach others how to do this themselves than offer the service that made them relatively popular in the first place. Sad. read more

Very chill. Respectful, discrete, and offered good suggestions regarding caring for the tan. It did not smell bad. Smelled good, in fact. I got lots of comments that I looked good or that I'd lost weight. I guess brown fat looks smaller than white. Great things about BronzedBerry: 1. You don't have to go anywhere. This is awesome because it just is, and also because you can hang out naked at your place after your tan and not worry about getting your clothes messed up. 2. Amie is super sweet and professional. 3. Setup is quick, and so is the drying time of the formula Amie uses. 4. I didn't look orange. 5. My tan lasted for about 5 days (I didn't use any of the pre- or post-tan products offered, and on day 5 I went for a long sweaty run -- I'm sure it would have stayed looking good even longer if I took better care of it!!) Bad things: 1. It's not free.... Yeah, that's how much I have to dig for something bad. Getting the appointment set was a little difficult, but Amie was very friendly and quick to reply when we had some scheduling confusion. Guess I'm the lone dissenter here. While I absolutely enjoyed having someone come to my place to spray me, I wasn't happy with the results. Now I've done spray tanning before and knew what to expect. I asked for medium color and didn't shower for 12 hours afterward, but when I did it seemed like all the color disappeared from my face. Then I left for vacation and stayed in a hotel room where the a/c was quite high so I wasn't sweating in my sleep. But everyday I would wake up and the pillow would be brown from my neck. The hotel maid was nice enough to change it daily but I wondered what she thought was going on. lol The color did last a week or more but again everyday I'm leaking color, had to wear dark clothes, sweated color at the gym, it was terrible. I was always skeptical of getting a spray tan b/c I thought it would be uneven and too orange-y. My worries melted away when I met Amie - love her! First she travels to your home and sets up all her equipment - she gives you everything you need to get the proper spray tan (minus flip flops of course). She's warm and personable. I tried Bronzed Berry for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I don't have time to lay out in the sun (plus didn't want to damage my skin). Amie was wonderful. She even let me come to her house because I did not have enough people for a party. This was my first airbrush tanning experience and I will definitely continue. The pluses? 1. It looks extremely natural - no orange places on me at all! 2. The price is not terribly bad if you buy by the month. 3. Your clothes do not get messed up. If a little bronzer does get on your clothes - it comes off in the laundry. 4. For me, the tan lasts about 7-8 days. I recommend following Amie's directions on exfoliating and moisturizing afterwards. 5. I feel so much better being tan during the summer. No more Casper the friendly ghost! The minuses? 1. Can't really think of any. Maybe - not being able to get wet for a good 7 to 12 hours after you are spray tanned. (I was told that your tan needs time to set. This was my first spray tan (or airbrush tan?) experience and I was a little nervous about looking orange or having weird smudges/marks, etc. Mainly, I wanted to not look like a pale ghost as the maid of honor next to my Italian friend who was getting married. I didn't want toxic chemicals all over me, so I looked up organic spray tanning and found Bronzed Berry. Melissa was my spray artist, and came to my house at a convenient time for me, just before I headed out to the wedding rehearsal. She gave me a lot of good information and tips, and made me feel at ease about how I would look, and how to dress afterward to not mess up the tan. It worked out great, and everyone thought I looked gorgeous. My best friend, the bride, thought that I had gone to a tanning bed or laid out, so I guess it looked pretty natural! I felt very glamorous on the wedding day, and it really boosted my confidence during the photos and when I gave my speech. Also, side note, my boyfriend said I looked exotic and was all over me. I don't know whether that is a good thing or a bad thing ;) I can't comment on how long it lasts, this is Day 4 and it still looks nice and dark. I haven't been applying lotion or moisturizer, so we'll see. I really just wanted it for the weekend/wedding events. I'm not sure if I will do it again, only because of cost, but I think it is much cheaper than going over and over again to the tanning bed, and damaging your skin. Oh, I got the Signature Glow, which had some sort of prepping spray beforehand and moisturizer afterward. If you are going out right after the application, I recommend at least the moisturizer to cover the smell of the self-tanner. Otherwise, I'm not sure if it's really necessary. Tip: Right after you get it done, try not to move your neck around and bend it down alot, otherwise the solution gathers in your neck crease. It dries fast, so this is only for a few mins after, then you are set. read more

I have always been skeptical of spray tans and thought that a spray tan would make me look orange and unnatural. After seeing Larisa's spray tan, I decided to try it and loved it! It didn't take long, didn't leave a weird smell on my skin, lasted a long time, and looked amazing. I now prefer a spray tan over going in a tanning bed and it's much safer for my skin. I even had spray tans done by Larisa during my pregnancy because the products are organic. Larisa is very professional and doesn't make you feel uncomfortable during the tan.
