True Laser is one of the few places in Madison that offers true LASER hair reduction, because there…read moreare many places in Madison that claim to offer laser but really they do IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) which is less effective. The prices are very reasonable and through the research I've done they are the best in the area with the best technology. Personally, their services work well for me. I don't have to remove hair in the areas that have been treated--some fine hairs left, but not enough to be significant. I have gone there for quite some time because I've added more areas to be added for removing hair. However, as I've gone back more frequently, I have become disappointed with some aspects of their services. re: Clarity about their services. I wanted bikini line removal. Every tech seemed to quibble about how much would be "bikini line" removal would be. For example, I had about two hairs a little lower and some would quibble "oh, that's not within 2 inches". it's TWO HAIRS and I bought an entire package. Some told me "Our policy is 2 inches in for the bikini line" but excuse me for not using a ruler to measure my bikini line--and if they are really that picky about this, the first time you come in for a treatment, they shoudl take a ruler, measure 2 inches, and show you exactly how much hair they will remove. Also, at my last visit, they did something that turned me off. I got a bikini line hair removal touchup, and at my previous visits, they always gave me aloe vera to apply after the visit. This time they applied hyrocortisone cream, which is OK, but they gave me an ice pack to put on the area for a few minutes which was inside a folded paper towel. The ice pack was clearly not to take home but used by other clients. THat means they are giving you an ice pack covered with paper towel that has been near other people's crotches. No thanks. I'd go back here again because of the superior laser technology they have there but other parts are turnoffs.

This is a great place to go to get some "me" time in for yourself in a hurry. I've had the laser…read moretreatment done once as a trial and have decided that it's well worth the cost, however.... it's just not a necessity. I have no problem shaving my armpits. =) I've also had the microdermabrasion done. I must say, I wasn't impressed. Basically, its "exfoliation with a vacuum". No thanks! I'd rather scrub my face at home. I had a chemical peel done and thoroughly enjoyed it, although it only lasted a mere 10 minutes. This truly cannot be classified as a spa. When I think of spa, I think "ooh, time for relaxation". At True Laser, it's more like get in and get out! Before you know it you're on your way back home thinking... "did I have my facial yet today?" All in all, I recommend True Laser if you are getting the laser hair removal treatment done, it does work and it IS worth the money, if you have it. I only had one treatment done on my underarms and after three weeks, I've noticed that my hair seems to grow in less coarse and finer. It's much easier to shave and I don't have to shave as often. I'm left to assume that with two more treatments, I wouldn't have to shave my underarms ever again....

I am sharing this to warn others about the lack of transparency and improper techniques I…read moreexperienced with SkinRN. I am 34 years old female and went in for botox and the lines on my forhead as I have extremely dry skin due to excema. The RN, Kris, charged me for 55 units of Botox back in Jan of 2025, but I have serious concerns about the integrity of the medication. She did not prepare the syringes in front of me; instead, she told me to go sit down in the injection area and did it at her desk where I couldn't see. After 2 weeks, I still had significant movement in both my 11s and my forehead, which should have been frozen per google, my age and what the average dosing is. I now believe the product was heavily diluted. I have since seen a professional in New York (Nov 2025) who used the same 55 units, prepared in front of me, and the results are night and day. My NY injector was able to do my 11s, forehead, AND crow's feet with that amount! This proved to me that the treatment at SkinRN was completely ineffective. To make matters worse, when I complained about the lack of results after my first Botox treatment, I was offered a $300 'Skinvive' treatment as I was walking out the door from getting another 55 units with her (May 2025). She injected this into my forehead, which I've since learned is NOT FDA-approved for that area because the skin is too thin--and it should not be injected 15 minutes after getting Botox. She assured me she did Skinvive all the time and the bumbs would go down in time. A year later, I am still suffering from the consequences. The little microdroplets she injected flare up, and my forehead becomes covered in what look like mosquito-bite sized marks whenever I am active. It is incredibly unprofessional to charge for a high dose of Botox that doesn't work and then immediately upsell an off-label filler that causes long-term bumps. Kris even told me it was 'not considered a filler,' which I now know is untrue. I only recently learned this product could be dissolved, so I now have to pay another professional to fix the damage she caused. Save your money and go to an injector who is transparent about how much they are injecting and follows FDA guidelines.

Because she refused to do my Botox I asked if she could do filler because I was already there. I had briefly mentioned that I had made a purchase on Groupon to get filler at a different place but decided I would rather have it done by a "professional" after saying this she also refused to do any filler because she didn't trust that I wasn't going to go to the other place. Chris is very cold and stuck up, didn't smile once while I was there like I was complete trash
