The girls are all very knowledgable about the different packages and the discount for where I work is a plus! :) it never smells like sweaty lotion in here with is a major turn off when I've been to other tanning salons. The girls are all very good about reminding me when I spray tan to use the barrier lotion on my nails and toes as well as to wear the bottom feet protectors which I normally would otherwise forget whoops! They explain the different positions for the spray tan to achieve the best results and gave me tips on how to keep the tan afterwards. The facility is usually clean and MOST of the time, I don't have problems with the sunless tanning machines. My biggest problem with this location is that when certain employees are working, I get a 25-30 minute lecture about why I need to buy their products. You know those people at the mall who try and grab you and convince you that their products are the absolute best? Yeah, kinda like that but more annoying. I'd say 4-5 times I've come in and one of the two sunless tanning machines weren't working or my spray tan got jacked up because someone didn't do something right. This place is too pricy for mistakes like this frequently.

I don't know the particulars but they use to be Malibu Tan. You could join, pay a monthly fee or purchase minutes, to include prepaid minutes. Not only is PBT extremely overpriced for their facilities and services but they no longer will honor my Malibu Tan minutes which were worth a couple hundred dollars. When they bought Malibu Tan I was told our minutes would be honored with the new company no problem. I was never told I had a time limit or expiration date! When I went the other day, I said "It sure would have been nice if someone had informed me that they were set to expire so I could have used them or transferred to another member." I was told by some unfriendly irritated employee that "tanners were notified". Not if they didn't come in often because it' was winter and they were embracing it and it's pale skin. They didn't call or email me and I'm thinking of taking this a step further. I think what they did was illegal and if so (my friend is in law school) I plan to get my money back. This is so unprofessional and dishonest. I know you've lost many loyal customers because of this as I've read other reviews. same shock and utter disappointment I had and still have. Greed is what ends up ending little rinky dinky places like this. AND yes, at this location they are like door-to-door sales men or a used car salesman pushing their lotions and more over priced stuff onto you. No means no! I was weaseled out of money this way though it was some deal on buying more tanning credits (when they were still Malibu but some employees remained) in another unreal occurrence with this establishment. This is the only place near me that I have time for so I'm paying a small fortune to tan here JUST for the next month or two.

The treatment itself was comfortable (with numbing of course) , and the results are definitely noticeable. My skin looks smoother, brighter, and more even, and it has that healthy glow I've been trying to achieve for a while. The epidermal leveling add-on made a huge difference in how well my skin absorbed products afterward. This service is truly worth it, especially in Perla's hands.
