It's been awhile since I went tanning. I used to do it before I took my yearly trip to the Caribbean ... I decided to try Electric Beach Tanning in Greenbrook.located on the westbound side of Rt. 22 west in the Greenbrook Shopping Plaza.......( the sign just says tanning) This specific Electric Beach Tanning Salon came highly recommended. ( THERE ARE SEVERAL OTHER ELECTRIC BEACH TANNING SALONS IN THE AREA, BUT THIS BY FAR IS THE BEST ONE...) From the minute I walked in I noticed how clean and immaculate this tanning salon is....... I spoke to a receptionist named Melissa at the front desk when I checked in. Melissa was very friendly and answered all my questions... She made recommendations as to what level bed to use and approx for how long to tan. I filled out the required paperwork and questioner It helps to determine the right bed and time to tan so you don't get burned...( IF YOU ARE A MINOR YOU MUST HAVE AN ADULT COME IN AND SIGN THE WAIVER.) I did this for my daughter.....then she was given goggles to protect her eyes. Again, I was impressed how Melissa really cleaned and disinfected the goggles... The first thing you do is sign in with your registered fingerprint...... To the left of the checkin counter is a waiting area with couches, chairs and a flat screen so you or your friends can relax especially if their busy...... ( I recommend using one of the many tanning lotions that Electric Beach Tanning sells....reg suntan lotions and oils will not do.) I like that EBT is very strict with upholding and following all the legal rules...This is one, if not the best tanning place I've ever been to. Tanning beds have come a long way in 20 years...They are safer and much more efficient. I walked down a long hall. Each room had a clean tanning bed in it. Each of the beds is a different level to help accommodate all the different skin types and different levels of color, fair to medium dark skinned .. I also noticed there are two stand up tanning machines.. They start at level 3. There are fliers posted notifying people if they are on medication to check the list because some meds are sun sensitive. There is even a notice if a young teen comes in .. My daughter was recommended level 3 for 7 minutes.. I bought the proper lotion and in 7 minutes she was done... It is very easy. I decided to purchase a package . It much more cost effective... ETB sells monthly memberships, and if your register your phone number in the FREE TEXT CLUB you will get a upgrade, or a free lotion packet..... In the very back there is an area to freshen up after tanning.... ETB is open everyday and is open late for people who want to come in and tan after work... There is plenty of free parking..... The owner Steve is doing everything right and I applaud him for keeping his salon at such high standards..... read more

I absolutely love this Tanning salon, it's so clean in there whenever I go, the beds work great, and the staff is always so friendly and so welcoming! I felt comfortable for the moment I walked in, I got a great tan from just a couple sessions! I wanted to try this place out because it's pretty equal in distance to me as Sunbelievable in Somerville. I ended up purchasing the 4+1 black diamond "package." 4 times I was able to get the bed and I did like the results; but one time there were two other people waiting so I just took the one a step down and it was totally underwhelming...I can't imagine the ones even below that. The prices are insane and don't make much sense. There's no music in the room, the selection of products is lacking, and with only 1 highest level bed, the wait can be long. I am done tanning now that summer is definitely here and I have a nice base but I definitely would not come back here. Sunbelievable is legit half the price and has a much better selection of beds and products. read more

The owner is a thief. She took away all 10 of my prepaid sessions because I didn't use them within 6 months (only because I was not informed that you had to use them in 6 months - old owner held sessions valid for a year. There was no signage stating the expiration nor was I told by one of their sales girls thar are usually sleeping when you walk in. When I complained, she gave me only half of my unused sessions 5 out of 10 that I paid for. Our home got hit by a hurricane Ian and I was gone for months doing clean up and came home to find my mom needed open heart surgery. She took all my sessions again! Last year, I bought 10 more like an idiot. Every time I went to tan, there were 3-4 bulbs out in the level beds I use. BOTH beds had burned out bulbs. I waited until it was fixed...and after over a month of waiting they still weren't fixed and she took all my remaining sessions without apologies. Do not waste your money here. The women is a thief and a liar, doesn't maintain the salon and has zero respect for her customers. read more

This is the best tanning salon in the area. Very clean, top of the line beds, friendly and knowledgable staff. Wide selection of the newest tanning lotions. If you need to wait for a bed there is comfortable seating, a tv on the wall and music playing in the background. There is also a neat clean bathroom with free mens and womens toiletries as well as body sprays for your use. read more

Rebecca was super helpful in walking me through the packages and really did her absolute best to assure I had a great first visit! She truly provided exceptional service. I've been to many different tanning salons, but I can't say I've ever come across one with such knowledgable and friendly staff! I used a level 6 bed and really enjoyed it. Ok so I sometimes I need a little sun but it's hard with my work schedule so I do the next best thing . I love this studio they recently went under new management and now it's just perfect . The staff is knowledgeable they want you to tan safely in a clean comfortable environment. They won't sell you something that's not right and stand behind their products. Although I do like this place because of the bed strength and cleanliness AND was a loyal customer for over a year, I was completely turned off by the management. I was there almost every other day for ever a year and the same girl had to ask my name every single time, (even though its the same as a restaurant directly across the street). Also, once I asked the owner if he would mind if I left my business card and he said "I pay rent for my business not for your business". I WOULD never go back and don't recommend to anyone. I am extremely dissatisfied with the customer service I have encountered. I have been a loyal customer for several years. I had bought tanning sessions that were advertised to never expire, only to be denied and not be able to use them. The reasoning due to "new management and new rules." I had asked to speak to a manager and I was told they were not present, so I left my name and number for them to get back to me. After not hearing back for TWO months (I am a student and live in Philadelphia), I decided to stop back in while home on break and was told once again the manager was not in. The young lady working also had the audacity to tell me that the manager would probably give the same answer that she had already given me. I asked for the contact information of the manager and was told that she only has her personal number and that she wasn't going to give it to me. I also asked for a business card and was told that there was none. I had spent a good amount of money on these sessions and would like a complete refund, if they are unable to corporate with me.
