This place is a complete rip off. Please read this warning and learn from me and my boyfriends mistake!!!! My boyfriend came here to pick up a 08 BMW 328xi.... Gorgeous car for sure but honestly not worth the sh#%t they put us through. Just going to keep it simple but they basically screwed us into getting a warranty that is not needed and now we have been waiting for paper work to cancel said warranty. We brought the car on 12/11 and it's been about 2 weeks of constantly having to address matters that arise...not only with paperwork but with the car itself. Car has a light warning light which can just be a factory default but deff was not addressed. Also them attempting to want to fix it... You might as well take your L and do it yourself. I wanted a car but didn't need a car so after applying for financing through my bank (Capital One) I had a pre-approval at a decent APR and my pre-approval letter. I started at Capital One's website where I could browse cars, see reviews of dealerships and what my monthly payments would be. I believe in being fully informed and because I'm a woman, I hate being blindsided. This isn't my first car, financing or dealings with a dealership so I prepare. I chose Federal Auctioneers which turned out to be Bronx Auto as my first stop. As I said, I want a car but I don't need one so although I went in looking to buy, I wasn't desperate. They have a large selection which was nice and the price was clearly listed on the windshield along with the mileage which I appreciated. After browsing for an hour we narrowed it down to two cars that we were sure on. Ask for the keys to start the car, no problems there. One SUV sounded like it had a bad muffler and after a lot of back and forth where they swear they couldn't hear it, they stated they would fix whatever was wrong. Strike one... let's move on to the other car. I called the sales person over and we start to discuss the price because the price on the windshield was not the same as the price on the website. He then proceeds to tell me there are three prices. The one on the website was with perfect credit, the one on the car was with average credit and the one at the bottom of the windshield in tiny tiny print and over $6K more was with bad credit. WTH???!!! I stared at him in awe and asked him to repeat that, which he did and then had the nerve to tell me "let's go inside and run your credit and see what kind of loan we can get you". Didn't I tell this man I had a pre-approval from the ONLY bank I wanted to submit an application to? By now the flashbacks of all the reviews I read of people that said yes and went inside and took a loan from this people ran like a movie in my head. I politely turned around, told him to have a nice day and walked out. I didn't believe the negative reviews but I do now. Stay away from this place. Nothing is worth the kind of hassle of getting out from under a bad car loan AND dealing with the hits to your credit from the multiple lenders they send your info to. Until they added up so much that it came up to 23,000!?! Which I wasn't told btw. They wrote down 18,000 after taxes and fees. Well, I DID NOT BUY a car from Bronx Auto Sales (or whatever name they like to go by). I was looking for a Honda CRV. I found one on Autotrader.com and Bronx Auto Sales was the dealer selling it. Price is listed as $15,495.00. Thats a great price. I have a bank that i've used for many many years and they always give me the best finance rates (2.75% on a used car loan). I have great credit and also because I am out of state, I thought i would save myself the riff raff and trouble of a long negotiation process and just pay cash. In my previous experiences, theres wiggle room in purchasing a used car, but when I called BAS they asked will you be financing or paying cash? I replied that I would pay cash. The gentleman said he would take my information and call me back. Hmm, so that's weird. I don't know why he would have to call me back if I am paying cash. Turns out that the "bank" changes the prices on the cars and that the listed price is for finance only. Turns out the cash price is $22,000! And I would have to use one of their banks to finance it. I m not an idiot, nor was I born with "SUCKER" stamped across my forehead. 1. That is false advertisement 2. When I was shown the car it wouldn't start. I was told the battery died but it certainly could have been something worse such as the alternator or other electrical problems. When discussing the price of the car I was informed that the advertised internet price was AFTER making a cash down payment of $1995. It turned out there was fine print at the bottom of the internet page referring to a $1995 down payment but one would have to look very carefully to notice it. After a test drive he was ready to negotiate on the price, the sales representative kept avoiding the price, first it was insurance, then finance, then he asked for the down payment like the deal was done. Fortunately my friend was smart enough to insist on working on the price. That's when he sprung the surprise, not only was the price not flexible but there was a $1990 fee. If I could leave a zero I would... June 2016 I went in for a 2007 bmw used that was listed at 9,995. I got approved and put down 1500 for the vehicle and was told all the warranty n protection I had for the car... it was my first car so being a lil excited once had keys in my hand and receipt for deposit I literally drove away not realizing I didn't grab a copy of the contract... I did leave remembering the snake ass sales rep telling me to be sure to tell the bank all the loaded features the car had that definitely stuck out... so I have the car looked at by mechanic, instantly found issues motor mounts needed to be replaced and worst of all transmission was slipping I began noticing it on day 2-3... when bank called and explained the deal before submitting the check I noticed the agreement was not what I was presented at the dealer. Thankfuly the banked held payment so I stood with the car rest of the week treated it like broken down rental... that's when the sales rep called me 3-4 times a day n I avoided his calls until I was ready to go back to the dealership... when I get there on the weekend they asked me why I told the bank what I did... I explained they lied to me and about the car.. right away they finance dude said how do I expect him to fix a problem worth over 6k and expect him to make money... ummm in America u dumb fuck!!! I'm surprised this place is not out of business yet. Last year in May I went to this place to check out a car I wanted. The salesman who's name was I believe Mizan spoke to me and told me the car would come up to about 11k ok cool I told him I wanted it. I noticed that a few things where bad on the car so I told him about it and he said they have someone that will fix everything I needed fix. So after they run my credit they start adding fees to the car and insisted to get a warranty because the kind of car it was usually gets transmission problems after a while so I said ok because everything would get fixed for free and at the time I couldn't really afford to pay more money in fixing parts. So the price came up to 16k but I was so exited to have the car that I looked passed that plus it had warranty so I was not worried about anything. So I drive the car home after they told me they checked all fluids and everything else and when I get home the car has no antifreeze. I put some antifreeze and the next day it was empty again. So I call them and tell them about it and they say to bring the car in. I drive an hour to the dealer from my house and when I arrive they tell me I have to make an appointment for another day. Cool so I scheduled an appointment for the next Saturday at 7 I'm the morning. I tell the guy everything I noticed that was not working which was antifreeze leak, brakes, struts making noise and broken driver seat which Mizan said they would get me a new one. The owner of the shop they sent me to asked me to leave the car there and pick it up at 3 later that day. So I go back at 3 to pick up the car and first thing I noticed was that the breaks where squeaking so I tell the owner of the shop and he tells me the brakes are fine and so is everything else and that I was going to have to buy a new driver seat. I later call the dealer and tell them what happened and they put me on hold and never pick up again. I called the day after and a gentlemen who's name I can't remember picks up. He tells me he's gonna speak to his manager and he would call me back and never did. I called 3 days straight after and they kept putting me on hold. It's been almost a year and I've never been able to get the things that were wrong in the car fixed through warranty as they promise. I rate this place a -10. I purchased a car from here early August and it was a absolute nightmare. Let me start with the sales person - he wasn't much of a sales person. He had no clue about cars, he hardly spoke English and his associates were bad mouthing him. The "manager" is a complete JOKE, he's name is Marlene and he is the epitome of GHETTO. He has no customer service skills. If he is suppose to be the "face" of the dealership then it's an ugly one. And it doesn't end here. The clown in the finance department named Jay Cohen is comical. He was talking about other customers financial statuses and every other word out of his mouth was a curse. I bought the car at $32K and if it wasn't that it was exactly what I wanted I would of went else where. It took about 7 hours for the transaction to be complete and then Jay added an extra manufacturer warranty that I didn't ask for and I didn't notice until I went home and reviewed the paper work. It took about 4 months for them to reimburse me 3K back and that was after numerous calls and many failed attempts. I finally had to show face at the dealership for them to give me back what was owed to me. It was one horrible experience after another. Finance Manager told me that I have to purchase a warranty from him to get this car. They charged me 3000$ for this warranty(I just have the cheat sheet picture). He told me that I can cancel this warranty in a month. I believed his verbal statement. They did not provide me invoice or anything that lists the itemized amounts(So I couldn't see 3000 charge for warranty). To my surprise I found that the warranty is just 800$(in bank finance copy) and when I asked he said that is where he made the money. This is pure cheating. He had to lie on warranty with me to sell his car and to get more profit. Every car comes with a free car fax report, so you know your not buying anything that's b.s..They stand by the cars they sell. You dont get the standard 30day warranty and hope nothing goes wrong.
