His office staff was very friendly and professional as well. My overall experience was really amazing. They were all very warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this doctor if you are looking for an exceptionally skilled and proactive eye specialist/surgeon....

Amazing eye surgeon who handles children very well. My 6 yr old injured his eye almost 2 weeks ago…read moreand had a possible tear in his upper tear duct. Within 24 hours of seeing Dr. Schneck my son went into surgery and the doctor explained everything to me step by step during the appointment the day before and at the hospital. He was very clear and always answered any questions. Today my son was having a little issue seeing and the doctor saw us right away (to make sure retina wasn't damaged). Luckily, that was not the issue and we will check with the pediatric optometrist. Highly recommend him!

Guess I had no choice, surgery is T -3 days away! I was greeted by the most pleasant front desk staff there ever could be and the inside is brand spanking new with ample seating. If you come with a wheelchair it is easily accessible with automatic entrance doors, large door openings and spacious exam rooms. I bring my loved one to lots of appointments in a wheelchair so I am always hyper aware of this. This appointment was for myself but good to know if you need accessible accommodations. Anyway, I was seen by the most thorough PA, Elina, and she really went over all my medical history with a fine tooth comb to make sure there were no surprises on surgery day. I've only gone under the knife once at a different hospital, but it was nothing like this. They took blood work and did an EKG on-site which was nice, I didn't have to go running to a lab and have extra turnaround time. Having surgery is stressful enough but this was really a pleasant experience. I hope I never have to come back, but I do feel they took the time and had my best interests in mind. Kudos to Stony Brook Medicine!

So many imagings, so many unnecessary tests for no reasons which they said only can be done in his office only. Thank God my sister's friend is a doctor. Got a second opinion from another place where they told me those are unnecessary.. it's all about money and It's very sad how those people make already ill patients go through such unnecessary procedures just for money!!!

Absolutely appalled by the behavior of the office receptionist. When I showed up for my scheduled…read moreappointment, which I took off of work for, I was told by the receptionist that they changed my appointment and tried to call me but were unsuccessful. I responded, "was only one attempt made." The receptionist stated, "we didn't have to call at all." I then asked to speak to my doctor and she refused staying, "he had other appointments that he's attending to." I left the office and called back requesting that my doctor give me a call. The receptionist responded, "go f%$# yourself!" I couldn't believe what had just happened. A week later I went to my primary care physician and he had called Dr M office requesting my bloodwork and was refused and hung up on by this same receptionist. I was able to get my bloodwork from the lab thank goodness. I have since tried to contact Dr M but have been rejected by this same receptionist every time unfortunately. I recently received an unsigned letter from Sound Endocrinology stating they can no longer treat me due to my vulgarity towards their staff members. I have to laugh at this because it was actually the opposite. I have never had any issues with office until recently. It is very unethical behavior and I'm convince Dr Mitsinikos is unaware of all this and probably the reason why the letter wasn't signed by him or anyone. I wonder how many others this receptionist has treated like me. Extremely unprofessional! I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS OFFICE!

Front office staff is polite and it is always a positive experience when I go in there. If anybody resents being asked about medical history (including vaccine status) when they see a doctor--- get over it. That is their business!

At the beginning of the appointment she lectured him about COVID because he had his mask down for a second to itch his nose and then had the nerve to ask if he was vaccinated! Which is non of her business. Very unprofessional! It was very uncomfortable for me and my son. I almost left but wanted to have him checked, mind you this was a second opinion for the spot on his back. Which she biopsied anyway, the first dermatologist wasn't concerned with it being cancer but Dr. Steinberg took a piece of it anyway, probably knew it was fine but just wanted to bill my insurance company. I am unhappy with my experience with Dr. Steinberg. The front office staff was very nice and the nurse was very nice as well.
