I was able to get in, fill out all the new patient paperwork and get my entire physical done within an hour. Every single staff member that I encountered was so sweet and friendly. I was permitted to book an appointment with this office less than three days ago. I was confirmed for that appointment less than 24 hours ago. To be told at 7 AM this morning when I walk into the office, but they no longer accept my insurance their office never notified me and as a patient of almost 20 years, I could pay out-of-pocket to see my doctor or basically go screw. From the first visit I could tell she genuinely cared about her patients and finding the appropriate individualized treatment plan. She listens to any concerns and is able to address them with sincerity and compassion. I am glad to have her as my doctor and I highly recommend her. She does not care about patient's health; works only for money. Dr. Nawaz is brilliant and kind, yet runs 45-60 minutes late. The Patchogue location has poor quality sensors for the water to turn on in the restrooms. The water turned on for only one second, off four seconds; on again for one second; then no more water at all from the faucet. I have never experienced such poor water sensors before. I almost began to bleed caused by so-called blood specialists. They seem to have no idea what causes eczema. My fingers within two minutes became cracked, peeling and almost bleeding from this location. Patients with eczema, beware. In general, NY Cancer and Blood Specialists has some good doctors, some not so good, and the quality of everything else is poor.

There is no sense of customer service or coordination of care and definitely not a hint of any desire to help. The burden is on you to do everything (e.g., check insurance coverage with referrals, fax medical records, update their office listings in insurer's directories), so I wouldn't trust physicians who don't check for quality in the staff they hire to do nothing to attract and retain patients except make their lives miserable simply because they can get away with it. I'll take family's health and business elsewhere. Someone who treats patients this poorly can't possibly reflect well for the physicians caring about someone's health if they let this pass for customer care. I don't even want to imagine the potential nightmare of dealing with staff who have no sensitivity for dealing with seniors and their complications.
