Dr. Theofanis Mitsinikos is an Osteopath and is very through and comprehensive in his treatment.

Absolutely appalled by the behavior of the office receptionist. When I showed up for my scheduled appointment, which I took off of work for, I was told by the receptionist that they changed my appointment and tried to call me but were unsuccessful. I responded, "was only one attempt made." The receptionist stated, "we didn't have to call at all." I then asked to speak to my doctor and she refused staying, "he had other appointments that he's attending to." I left the office and called back requesting that my doctor give me a call. The receptionist responded, "go f%$# yourself!" I couldn't believe what had just happened. A week later I went to my primary care physician and he had called Dr M office requesting my bloodwork and was refused and hung up on by this same receptionist. I was able to get my bloodwork from the lab thank goodness. I have since tried to contact Dr M but have been rejected by this same receptionist every time unfortunately. I recently received an unsigned letter from Sound Endocrinology stating they can no longer treat me due to my vulgarity towards their staff members. I have to laugh at this because it was actually the opposite. I have never had any issues with office until recently. It is very unethical behavior and I'm convince Dr Mitsinikos is unaware of all this and probably the reason why the letter wasn't signed by him or anyone. I was just rudely informed that I will no longer be accepted or treated by this office due to 2 missed appointments that I was never informed about. I'm not exactly sure who I was talking to but she was not willing to let me explain how I was never informed of these appointments. Currently searching for a new endocrinologist. Shame on whoever works behind the front desk. However, Dr. M was a pleasure to deal with, he was very informative in regards to my pituitary gland tumor. read more

Avoid this place at all costs. These "doctors" are crooks who don't listen to their patients at all, and are only out to make a profit. My father went there for a simple test recommended by his primary care doctor. There were clear instructions provided on the areas that needed to be tested. However, Dr.Nicoleta Ionica completely ignored recommendations from the primary care doctor, and my parents' wishes. She went ahead and performed additional tests on areas that were confirmed healthy. When my parents questioned her decision and insisted that the healthy areas not be tested (as the test causes a LOT of pain and discomfort), Dr. Ionica rudely brushed them off with "yeah ok, we'll see." I'm no legal expert, but pretty sure that performing an invasive test against a patient's wish violates regulations. Maybe my parents should've fought harder, but a clinic is not a place where one would normally wish to start arguments over one's health. It enrages me to see my father in pain as a result of completely unnecessary and invasive tests, just so the doctors here can make a few extra dollars. Doctors like Nicoleta Ionica are just plain greedy, and while this incident may not qualify for any severe formal punishment, I hope my review here will steer future discerning patients away from this clinic. Update: when the test results came out of course she required him to go into her office (so she can get an extra co-pay and fees), just to spend A WHOLE MINUTE telling him everything is good without any details. Update 2: Turned out she also sent the test samples to 3rd party labs (which were out of my parents' insurance network) for extra testing without permission, causing my parents to pay more than a thousand dollars out of pocket. Dr.Nicoleta Ionica is pure scum and should have her license suspended for such practice. read more

Been dealing with Dr. Mitsinokis for years for thyroid nodules. He and Adam are really nice guys. Recently had a biopsy and it went very smooth. Dr. M listens and together we work out any issues with my health, very caring doctor. read more

I have seen every doctor in that office for my thyroid cancer they had my head spinning. I owe money on a bill that my insurance didn't cover I have been making payments but the bill never goes down because they keep adding late fees and they charged me $50 twice for no show we had 12 inch of snow but they don't care the girls at the desk are nasty I will never go there again I am going to contact a lawyer to see what I can do about all these late charges. I see Dr. Mitsinikos since 2011 for my thyroid cancer and gestational diabetes. He's smart, caring, thorough and the his waiting room wait time is less than 5min. I have no problems with his practice. Friendly staff. read more

Since the passing of Dr Brand, this practice has gone rapidly downhill. I have been a patient of this practice for over 20 years and was last seen by the nurse practitioner who used the visit to tout her PhD research. She did not lay a hand on to examine me once during the visit, rather spending the time to preach about her cure-all gluten free paleo diet - displayed on a wall sized poster on the exam room wall. She then smiled, said see you in 3 months and was gone. Didn't even renew my prescriptions for thyroid meds - I had to call the office for that. Utter waste of time! read more

Being transgender is hard enough. Having a clinic screw you over multiple times makes it even harder. I went to Dr Ionica for Hormone Replacement Therapy in August of 2015 to start my medical transition from female to male. By mid September, I received my first testosterone injection. While Dr Ionica herself is alright (little too much business attitude and I don't care for her bedside manner, but alright.) the nurse (?) who gave me the shots initially I did not like at all. He would constantly misgender me, even after several corrections on multiple occasions, and for some reason didn't teach me how to self-administer, but rather showed my boyfriend how to give me the shot in the rear. While it's good to have someone who can help me with it, what if he's sick, not home, or otherwise when I need to do my shot? But the real anger comes from getting the T prescriptions themselves! After we began doing the shots at home, every time I'd go pick up the T at CVS, something would go wrong. One time being that they tried to send in a script for a 90 day supply (usually got 30) and my insurance didn't cover more than the 30! They sent in the script for the bigger vial without consulting me or my insurance company first. They also screwed up with not specifying something another time. I called them the week before I had to get my shot when I tried to get my T, and they said they'd handle it. Went back the day before my shot- they hadn't called the CVS back! Final straw came today. I called to get a new script (my shot is tuesday) and they said, "We sent a 90 day script, they should give you a refill if you can only get 30 day at a time." Red flag- hormones are non-refillable! I went right to the CVS itself, and they confirmed that. They also gave me a print out of the last script sent in by them, and it said 30-day. I called back Sound, and was told "your record says we sent a 90 day over." True or not, I was not told about that. And I had told them not to send a 90 day script after they first tried to! So the script is to be sent monday night. I'm bracing myself for another screw up. This is the last time I'm getting from them. 1 1/2 out of 5, Do not recommend. read more
