LANDMARK WEALTH MANAGEMENT REVIEW: We researched several…read morefirms for our wealth management and estate planning. Landmark Wealth Management, which had been recommended by a trusted friend, was one of them. After days of preparation and subsequent submission of pages and pages of answers to questions, we were told that that our assets didn't fit their "business model" No problem, we wound up with a highly reputable firm that gave no such negative feedback. No big shakes, we went on about our business. But then here is the insult resulting in this review: We just found out, from the friend who recommended them, and remains one of their current clients, that when Landmark thanked them for the recommendation , they additionally shared our financial situation with and provided the reason for them saying we were "not a fit." The sharing of our financial situation, no matter how specific or nonspecific it might have been, is highly unethical and unprofessional. Their behavior goes against their very own "Mission and Values" as stated on their website: Practice and encourage others to practice in a professional and ethical manner that will reflect credit on themselves and the profession. We recommend thinking twice before engaging this firm in any possible management of your wealth, no matter how large or small.
