I asked for directions to a specific department, and while the first associate wasn't sure, another employee--Matt--stepped in to help. Matt initially guided me part of the way, but after I made a detour, he went above and beyond by coming back to find me and give clear, complete directions to exactly where I needed to go then walked me over there. That level of follow-through and customer care really stood out. It's rare to see someone take that extra step, and I truly appreciated his effort. Usually once or twice a year, I make the drive out to the outlet's just in case something new and exciting may have happened. And sadly I have yet to be surprised and instead am disappointed to find fewer and fewer stores open. Honestly, at this point I don't even understand how the businesses that are there can generate enough traffic to stay open. I have been to several outlet malls in California, with lots of great stores to chose from. It was actually a fun Saturday activity that could take a good part of the day to complete. So I am really just dumbfounded as to why such an opportunity sits 90% vacant. Location perhaps? Maybe....I do personally find the location to be a bit out of the way. No advertising? I have never seen any. But who could afford to advertise a mall with only a hand full of vendors? Most people who visit, stumble upon it by accident while driving out to Lucky Peak. He's become our go to for seafood because he seems to know what he's doing. I'm sure it's a storewide policy but the free pats of herb butter, garlic, and herb are fantastic. I watched him sell a woman ahead of me on using those and a cooking bag that he supplied and it was obvious he got a new steady customer. Is their pricing competitive? Probably, when there is that much value add, I'm not going to spend time checking. Thanks for doing it right, as regular Fred Meyer customers, we appreciate it. One more thing. The new thick grocery bags are huge! Love the fact that they refuse to break and there is no concern carrying stuff from the car and up the stairs. Keep it up. I normally buy only premium ice cream made with the best ingredients, with a high butter fat content and little to no air added. For that reason, I am a bit of a hard sell when it comes to grocery store ice cream. Intrigued by this particular flavor, I checked out the list of ingredients and bought it, as well as 5 other pints of PS, all of which were on sale for $1.88. It normally sells for $2.99 a pint. It is also available in half quart sizes, which normally sells for $5.99 per currently on sale for $4.49. I have only tried this flavor so far but far exceeded my expectations. I would go so far as to say that it is hands-down, the best grocery store brand ice cream that I have purchased. For example, last summer I tried several flavors of Albertson's Signature Reserve ultra premium ice cream. While the flavors were intriguing, the ice cream itself was disappointing. PS's Belgian Chocolate Irish Cream Ice cream looks exactly like the picture. There are big chunks of cookie mixed into it. The ice cream itself has great flavor and is very smooth and creamy. This is one of the best new chocolate flavors I have tasted in years. One of the things I really like about this ice cream is that you are actually buying a pint. Years ago, Häagen-Dazs raised the bottom of their pints instead of raising their prices, which I would have preferred. It's called truth in advertising. Even at $2.99 a pint, this ice cream is worth every penny. * I purchased this ice cream a couple of months ago. It's not like Dillards has a dedicated section or do they? We had been at Macys moments earlier but struggled to find a L and a XXL in the same style We briskly walked into Dillards beelined it to the Men's section and my brother causally asked Cole, " Do you where you guys stock the 70s disco shirts?" Cole replies, " Over-there by the back wall". Cole was not kidding, it was an overgrown Paisley garden. There was countless variations in all sorts of out dated fashionable colors like dark brown, purple, and forest green. The dark brown instantly drew our attention so now the mission was to find two in two different sizes. The large was easy to find but the XXL proved to be a bit trickier. After checking hanger sizes and actual sizes we found a mismatch where the hanger had said XL but the shirt was XXL. My brother strips off his over shirt like he's about to a nude model for an art class. The older ladies shopping abruptly stopped and turned their collective heads as if they thought a rendition of Magic Mike was going to be happening live. It was to their chagrin, when my brother put on the brown Paisley shirt over his t-shirt that they knew the show was over. Mission Accomplished. His shirt fit. We made it back to Cole so that he would get the credit / commission / recognition. Cole was impressed with our choices and said that we would look snazzy in our shirts. What more confirmation is needed. Thanks to Dillards, Cole specially for helping us find two brown Paisley shirts for our Dad's Celebration of Life event. It truly looked like we got into a DeLorean traveled back in time twice to get the shirts out our dad's closet. As I write this the day after, I don't think we'll return the shirts to the closet. We understand that the timeline may never be the same but it's a risk worth taking.

This was the best experience we have had yet. Whoever the lady was (20's maybe?) Dillard's needs to treat her right. She is the employee many stores are lacking these days. She was helpful, polite, and professional. She had called a manager for help with a discount. I could hear how this manager was speaking to this associate. The manager was also great! I commend the manager too for how she spoke to the associate. I do not review often. This was worth the time considering how little I experience a positive interaction, out in the retail world.

A maintenance guy ( pushing a trash can/cart with tools--clearly on his way somewhere) stopped, very politely said, "May I help you ma'am?" And then gave me perfect directions. I was SUPER IMPRESSED, on so many levels. First, that he even noticed me AND second, paid enough attention to see I was obviously looking for something. NEXT, that he stopped to help. And of course, he was polite, courteous, and just....went above and beyond. I was so blown away I asked his name: Bill. Thin, white, a bit of grayish facial hair? Ball cap. Perhaps anywhere between 45-60? Bill is awesome, and an excellent representative of the facility and company.
