(they close at 7 on Fridays). If that's not amazing enough, when the Dr. gave me a novocaine shot, she numbed it with gel before the shot so I felt nothing. She was very patient and slow administering the novocaine and said that's how she gets it to not hurt. So smart. Front desk is smart and fast - maybe too fast...lol. If I didn't love my dentist so much, this would be my new dental office. My prescription seems to have not gone through, so not sure about that portion of the office system. A little confusing as the nameplate on the door doesn't read Gold Coast Dental, but the suite numbers matched. After years and years of childhood dental trauma, this place renews my faith in honest dentists and is my new favorite dental place.

I didn't need a diagnosis, since I told the dentist that my implant was loose. He decided to take a ct scan, charge me for it and charge me for his false "diagnosis." $290 later.. he told me I need a New crown and wanted me to pay $2900 to return for 2 more visits to "fix" it. I Declined his outrageous treatment plan, knowing my implant was just loose. I waited until Monday with no problems and went to my dentist Dr. John Vartanian (Newport Beach) who did the implant for me. He tightened the screw and I was out of there in 10 minutes for free. I believe SoCal Smiles owes me $290 back for their unnecessary scan and incorrect diagnosis. They were trying to sell me something I didn't need and I'm quite upset about how this was handled when I brought it to their attention. I would go elsewhere and not trust this place with your time or money.

Not only did Dr. Gina beat the other places in price, she is really sweet and understanding. You never feel intimidated asking questions, which I really appreciate since I'm more on the timid side. I ended up getting veneers instead of composite bonding. A lot of places will try to upsell you and have you do 6-8 teeth, but Dr. Gina recommended I only do two teeth since I'm young. She keeps up with modern technology. We did a mock up of the teeth and the veneers are made in a lab. The technology she uses also tells her how much to shave off. My veneers blend seemlessly, not bulky and the color is an exact match. The time I came to try my veneers, I asked for more of a rounded shape, and they sent it back to add more, which I really appreciate.
