The adults-only swim area and bar, which extends outside. Even in the colder weather, it was incredible; the water was perfectly hot/warm and made for such a relaxing experience. We got half day passes in the morning around 11:30 and stayed until 2:30 and we tuckered ourselves…read moreout! We did 5 different slides, theres so many to choose from. Theres a toboggan one that you lay flat down and you can race the person next to you as its timed and you can see your time when your finished! My husband and i did it several times trying to beat our previous scores. The tube slides are great, I absolutely loved the big 6 person raft, that one definitely takes some quick turns making it very thrilling. Make sure you keep your back against the raft and hold on tight though! When we got off the first time i thought we were done moving and i started to move and i conked my head on the side as we were getting out so make sure your getting out after theyve pulled the raft into their special area and then it gets carried back up for the next riders. The swim up bar was fun, water was warmer and you can even swim outside which was very neat as its a little chilly today we got to see the steam coming off the water. The drinks were a little pricey at 16$ each but they were good. But two drinks at 33$ is a bit much after we already paid 40$ each to get in. So can i at least get a few dollars off or something? Like do the people get a discount who stay here? Im not sure. But its a great place to wear out your kids while you chill in the bar or lazy river. The wave pool wasnt open so we didnt get to use that at all my husband was bummed about that he really wanted to see the dragon squirt water out of his "tuba" instrument.

In between lots of little cute shops is this mirror maze...as soon as our little one spots it, we "must" enter. So we did & what a blast we had. There were other people in there so it made it more fun because they'd actually come up to you wondering if you were a mirror or real--I laughed so hard in this thing! I thought it was a bit costly--$8 per person to enter, but you can go in and out as many times as you want...still!?!? A fun little interruption in between all the shopping.

The maze itself isn't huge and you can navigate your way out in 5-10 minutes or so. Any repeat visit is free all day. They ask you to put on disposable gloves prior to entry to prevent fingerprint smears on the mirrors. And they sell a large variety of bulk sweets in the lobby if you are so inclined. There is also a laser maze there with high scores, etc. available for an additional price. We did not do this on our visit and it is a one person at a time gig. Overall not bad.

This was well worth the stop!!! This is a tiny zoo (If you have ever been to Potter Park Zoo in East Lansing, this would be a decent comparison) with a great variety of wildlife. We were impressed with how many species they had. All the animals were very up close and active, so viewing them was truly enjoyable. The animals all looked healthy, enclosures and overall zoo were well kept. Lots of "snack" boxes that you could get a handful of feed for 25 cents or you can buy a cup of carrots for $5 when you buy your admission. Every animal is in an enclosed pen with a perimeter fence so some of them are impossible to feed. They also have pay options for special encounters but i'm not sure what that entails as we did not do that. My only issue is that the enclosures should be bigger. They are a nonprofit and they seem to take on animals from other zoos or at least that is what I was told. As a nonprofit, I'm sure funding is a challenge. This place really was a hidden little gem and we would highly recommend! We look forward to another visit.

Recently planned a meet up at Wilderness trails zoo with some family. It had been a few years since…read moreany of us have been there, and seeing it now, with many renovations completed, it looks fantastic, and functions with a much better flow. The entrance, and gift shop, is easily 4 times it's original size; and they always have the cutest collection of plushes. The grounds, and habitats appeared well maintained. The animals were all quite active, playful, and seemed to be healthy; the petting farm area is always a must stop when you visit. The staff are great too; friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The zoo now offers animal experiences for an extra fee, which can be purchased online or at the entrance, adding a more private element of fun. I will say though, I was really bummed that the Rainforest area was now only open as an "experience" purchase. Years ago it was easily my favorite exhibit, but unfortunately is now out of my price range, especially for a family (as I found the experience costs to be a bit high), so we were unable to see it. Overall we all really enjoyed our outing at the Wilderness Trails Zoo. They did a great job keeping the walk area around the zoo shaded, you could find animal feeding stations and hand sanitizer in many locations, seating widely available, a picnic/eating area, prepackaged ice cream bars/dippin dots in store, children's playground, clean restrooms, and plenty of parking available as you first arrive. This zoo is definitely worth the visit, and I'm sure I'll be having another day trip here again soon.

Carroll Park is as old as time. my parents favorite place when they were teenagers, they were hippie teenagers.they use to hang out there every single day. I have heard trillions of stories about this park. my parents brought me here a lot as a kid and my favorite thing was to feed the Ducks! I now bring my own daughter here and her favorite thing to do is to feed the Ducks! this is a really nice Park!!A very beautiful park.

This is behind a school so when you google "playgrounds in Frankenmuth" and this pops up on your GPS, don't be surprised when you're turning into a high school parking lot. They had a playground for bigger kids, one for smaller kids, structures to climb, an empty area to simply run around, and all is surrounded with fencing. Additionally, I saw a few picnic tables, and other people mentioned the trails behind the school that were great for walking or biking. This was great place to get out from a long car ride. NO BATHROOMS right there (maybe portapotties close by but we didn't see any) so bring your own or teach your kid to go near a tree.

We waited an additional 7 min before anyone came to the lane. We were paying by the hour which was even more frustrating. As they fixed the lane it took another 8 minutes. So a total of 20 min gone and off of your time. The way they corrected this is by adding 5 minutes.

Unfortunately, they've left plenty of space open for more entries. The park as a whole include a boat launch and dock and extensive picnic and playground facilities, as well as a walking connection to an arboretum and some other nice spaces shortly upstream. The park is by no means fancy, but I'm guessing the average veteran who comes will appreciate the space's many contributions to a relaxed small town American life.
