Wilderness Trails Animal Park - Swan and Geese at Wilderness Trails Zoo

The cages and homes for these animals are way too small…read more I just visited this zoo with my partner and cannot believe that a place like this is still open in 2025. I've just signed multiple petitions to try and have these animals relocated to a better fitting home. Truly heartbreaking to see.

Recently planned a meet up at Wilderness trails zoo with some family. It had been a few years since…read moreany of us have been there, and seeing it now, with many renovations completed, it looks fantastic, and functions with a much better flow. The entrance, and gift shop, is easily 4 times it's original size; and they always have the cutest collection of plushes. The grounds, and habitats appeared well maintained. The animals were all quite active, playful, and seemed to be healthy; the petting farm area is always a must stop when you visit. The staff are great too; friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The zoo now offers animal experiences for an extra fee, which can be purchased online or at the entrance, adding a more private element of fun. I will say though, I was really bummed that the Rainforest area was now only open as an "experience" purchase. Years ago it was easily my favorite exhibit, but unfortunately is now out of my price range, especially for a family (as I found the experience costs to be a bit high), so we were unable to see it. Overall we all really enjoyed our outing at the Wilderness Trails Zoo. They did a great job keeping the walk area around the zoo shaded, you could find animal feeding stations and hand sanitizer in many locations, seating widely available, a picnic/eating area, prepackaged ice cream bars/dippin dots in store, children's playground, clean restrooms, and plenty of parking available as you first arrive. This zoo is definitely worth the visit, and I'm sure I'll be having another day trip here again soon.

This place really has it all, for kids and parents alike. This is our favorite play place to come…read moreto, as it has a good playscape, a full bar, games and food to boot. Plus, on Fridays they have live shows in the evening. It does get a bit chaotic and let's face it, it's difficult to watch your kid get picked on but it's the law of the playground. There's only one person on duty however at the front and behind the bar so play at your own risk. Also prices are high for food and drink. A beer is $8 and a cocktail is $12- $15... but the entry fee for kids is only $15 so... tradeoffs. Food is okay; soft pretzel tasted a little off but the breadsticks were good and it seemed like everyone was ordering pizza. Will have to try that next time. Games are also expensive; you have to load a card and most games cost about 40 pts per play, lasting from seconds to about a minute. Not a ton of games but enough. Also offer a family restroom for changing and children which is good. It's in a strip mall with a grocery store and a golf sim too and on a main road. Easy to access. Overall it's my go to play place for the kids and plenty of seating and overlook spots for parents.

They couldn't wait stroll through the trails with wands in hand, activating the displays and marveling at the lights. This year was even more spectacular than last. I will continue to take them each year! my only suggestions, trying not to make it a complaint, is the lack of direction in the parking lot. Also, making wands available with online ticket purchase. It is not clear to the patrons until they start through the trails. Lastly, entrance to trail is not necessarily monitored, and several folks were walking in with entire families and no tickets were checked. not completely surprised but disappointing when we paid $25.00 per adult and $15.00 per child to enter. Overall a great experience and wonderful family activity for the Christmas season!

The lights and effects are really wonderful and a treat to the eye There are also interactive games that light up the eyes of any child I'm very glad that I went in the group that I went with really had a good time That being said, this is not really my kind of thing and the price of the tickets as well as some of the merchandise had a sniff of Disney World about it But I think they do a great job here and please note that my rating is for people who would really crave and experience like this If I hadn't gone with the group, I would not have gone But if you were looking for a wonderful Christmas light show and fun for the whole family, this will not disappoint
