The sledding hill is a blast and has a lift that takes the kids and adults up to the top of the hill to prevent exhaustion I'm assuming. lol Lots of parking is a huge plus here. I believe more parking than they need here but I'm a fan of more is better. The only reason I didn't give them a 5 star is the bathroom situation. All I've ever seen is a portable bathroom and that's not my idea of a good time. I would prefer something more permanent for a soccer/sledding park. This won't keep me from going here but it had to be said. The final grade is good though and I would recommend a visit if your in the area.

Randy treated us like adults, taught us how to operate the sled safely and was a fantastic hosts. We rolled on about 3 inches of fresh overnight snow and just had a blast. It's pretty rare to see a three legged bridge, and even more rare to see one as well maintained and gorgeous as this one. We came from the side closest to downtown, and there was plenty of parking in the lot, with free three hour parking on the street as well. There's a watercraft access point for kayaks and the like, and a few people boating and people fishing at the shores of the lake. There were also people having a picnic at the picnic tables. It's a peaceful place to visit and the surrounding grounds are well maintained.

Bordered on the east by the Tittabawassee River, and on the south by the Chippewa River, this multi-featured 35-acre park is home to paved biking and walking paths; picnics; field sports; a childrens' playground; the Trilogy Skatepark; and a dog park at the far end. The park is visible from the highway bridge, but not conventionally accessible. You have to travel north of the park and take a left to loop back around underneath the bridge. Plenty of free parking is available. The Farmer's Market runs on Wednesday and Saturday mornings May through October. Of course, the salient feature is the wooden foot bridge that spans the confluence of the Chippewa and Tittabawassee Rivers, also known as "The Tridge". The dog park is fenced-in, and has a combination of wooded and open areas where dogs can run free. Various agility courses are provided to challenge your pet and there are a couple of sections so you can choose who your dog mingles with. Waste bags are provided free of charge for use, as are trash receptacles. The park is open from 8 a.m. until dusk. There are two visible pavilions with BBQ's nearby. They're the small BBQ's that are cemented into the ground and use charcoal for fuel. There are picnic tables in the pavilion and Port-o-Potty's a short distance away. Like most public parks, you are free to use it via squatting, but if you plan on an event, you should register with the city and get a permit to ensure you have rights to the facility. The Trilogy Skate Park is a 15,000 sq ft of concrete fun for in-line skaters, skate-boarders, and bikes. Hills and ramps of varying degrees, rails, and curved slopes help you hone your skills or perfect that trick. No equipment or rentals are available so you'll have to bring our own. The facilities at Chippewassee Park are unsupervised by municipal staff, but are patrolled by Police. I would like to thank the Officer that was nice enough to take the time and chat with me and provide me with all this info for my review (sorry, I didn't get your name! But you know who you are...) Outside of featuring The Tridge and various trails intersecting through here, there's also a nice playground and skate park nearby, although that area of the park is currently under construction and appears to be in the process of having new walkways put in.

We quite enjoyed the trail near the pond, which also offers a story walk, in addition to being able to peer at all of the plants and critters near the pond. A very nice spot!

Many on the paths go out over the water which was super cool. If you driving though this would be a great place to stop and have a picnic or just wander around.
