To the manager or owner who reads this, the under-educated woman working at your establishment on 11/19/2022 was incredibly rude and unprofessional. The name was Kristen or Kirsten. I'm not sure who scorned her that day to send her on such a childish rampage, but frankly it is sad how anyone her age can obtain their sense of "power" and authority from making a child cry on his birthday. My husband and I are Pediatricians who drove in from Ann Arbor for a private birthday party that cost the child's mother $400. Everyone in attendance certainly had no problem paying an additional "spectator fee" after the 1.5 hour event was over - but she continued her rampage. I told her calmly, "Can you please lower your voice? We are happy to pay whatever additional fee you charge for public skating on top of the private party fee, and will go up to the front right now." This woman continues on, red-faced and essentially shouting - going on to say that if we are staying his birthday cake had to be thrown out because "outside food is not allowed". Mind you, my family was actively buying a large amount of food and drinks from this establishment- pizza, beer, hard cider, etc. At this point, the way this woman was behaving, I interrupted her and said - "Honestly, forget it. We don't want to give you any more of our business." The child was brought to tears, asking if we really had to throw out his birthday cake. Absolutely sickening.
TLDR: Dirty, overpriced building with greasy chairs and unprofessional staff who lack basic human decency. I highly recommend avoiding this place and taking your business to a more deserving establishment. To the owner, please consider screening your employees more thoroughly. The city of Midland deserves better. read more
