I pick it up, the brake pedal pressure is significantly different; the brakes don't engage until the pedal is at the floor. I assume the hydraulic pressure hasn't evened out, I drive it low speed for several miles, pumping the brakes. No change. I call again, and am offered a free repair, bring it in ASAP, we'll fix it. Cool, thanks. I know you're booked, and it's pretty easy to let an it bubble slip in. I bring it in, they get to it right away. 30 minutes later, they tell me it's ready, I test the brakes. No change. I let the guy know, he gets angry with me because he "just fixed it". You said you fixed it. it's not fixed. I go inside and let them know I'd like my money back, minus the cost of parta. They argue with me, I relent and let them try again. 20 minutes later, significant improvement, but not pre-failure status. I tell them that. They tell me they can bleed it again, they're explaining to me that my brakes I had failed (I was a HEO for over 5 years, I know how brakes work, thanks). I told him us talking likely wasn't going to settle it, and that I'd dispute the charge (minus parts) with my company, and sorry we had to have a rough morning. because I wanted to give them a fair shake, (I came in slightly irritated because I had to drive into Atlanta metro on nonexistent brakes before bringing it back to the shop) I had my daughter drive my truck around. She noted the pedal pressure is significantly spongier than before, but she also says "I don't think it's dangerous or anything, it's just not close to how it was". I'm not going to dispute the charges, but I will wonder why it took 3 trips, an argument, and a third-party confirming the repair was "acceptable" but not to the pre-failure state. I will not be returnin, and I will not encourage people I know to go there.

I've now had two cars, one right after the other, repaired by Georgia Luxury Auto (GLA). I'll…read morenever go anywhere else. Here's why... The first car was done perfectly and on time. The second car was a whole other story because of complicated insurance issues. My wife was hit by the semi of a shipping company at night. I gave the info to GLA and the process began. And then the insurance process hit a great big snag. The first problem was the shipping company needed to determine whether they were going to cover the claim or their driver's own insurance, based on what they were doing at the moment of impact. Were they delivering packages? Were they done for the day, off the clock, and just driving home? So that took an inordinate amount of time -- not GLA's fault, of course. Then Garrett, the Estimator at GLA, submitted everything to the insurance company the at-fault people decided would cover the claim. If that insurance company were as diligent as Garrett was in trying to move things forward, it would have been done at least a week earlier. As it stood, the insurance company didn't pay much attention to the emails Garrett sent them and dragged their feet, resulting in delays for GLA. After days of not getting needed responses from the insurance company, Garrett had had enough. He escalated the issue to the owner of all the GLA locations, they worked out a plan to force things into motion, and it worked. The parts were ordered, the work started, and I could finally relax. The mark of a great repair company is not that it does everything perfect every time because that cannot happen; reference W. Edwards Deming's Red Beads Experiment for a great example. No, the mark of a great repair company is how they respond to and manage ANY issue, regardless of whoever is actually responsible, in the damage-insurance-parts-repair ecosystem. GLA resolved problems they shouldn't have had to resolve because they were the responsibility of other companies, but they managed them anyway. GLA -- especially Garrett -- tore through the spiderweb of other people's problems and got the job done. Bottom line: I don't know how the personnel of any repair company could have done more to earn my repeat business. GLA has it.
