Dr. Youngquist Sr. completed my orthodontia and results were fine…read more There were significant issues with his behavior that were never adequately addressed by him or his staff. He arrived over an hour late after asking me to arrive early in the morning which made it necessary for me to make arrangements at my work. When he did arrive, he didn't apologize, but explained that he was at a ball game up north and couldn't get back on time. He explained further how important he felt it was to take his (grown) son to this ball game since he'd never been to one before. He then proceeded to spill acid in my mouth which caused a permanent scar. By that point I began to realize that he probably was suffering from a hangover. After that, he called my home in the evening (very likely drunk) and admitted that he spilled the acid and told me what the specific chemical was - all of this only after I asked him repeatedly to explain what happened. (I believed that he called in order to try to prevent a lawsuit). He then proceeded to tell me at great length, to both my and my husband's astonishment, that he once had to wait for a long time at a doctor's office and that waiting for doctors is to be expected and that I had no reason to complain. He also went on and on about the importance of taking his son to the ball game. He was clearly drunk and very defensive. I made an appointment a few days later to review my mouth injuries and to discuss his phone call to my home and his behavior in general. Dr. Youngquist did not appear. One of his assistants denied that my injuries were caused by the acid spill. All of my questions and comments were ignored. After that, I discontinued all association with him. I very likely should have pursued a claim, but I was fed up with his pompous, self-aggrandizing, irresponsible behaviors and needed to move on. This was about ten years ago. I've been irritated during the past years when I've seen any ads, etc. referring to his practice. I probably should have found a way to warn others about him. I believe that, while he is capable of producing good orthodontic results, his behavior is detrimental and potentially harmful, especially since he deals with children who have no way of determining if he's at his best when he is performing a procedure. I don't know if he is still practicing or if his son took over. If he is still active, I would be wary of his unusual behaviors and be sure to be present when he performs procedures on children. Better yet, find another orthodontist. This is all unfortunate, but it needs to be said.

We had a great experience with are first consultation they took X-rays, lots of pictures, and then talked about the best approach for us. Now days they are trying to have kids in braces very young. When I was there I had lost all my baby teeth and had all my adult teeth in. They said that would save us a lot of time and money in the long run. We decided to do the metal braces as they moved the teeth the best and the colors are fun to pick. We also had expanders and spacers as well. They aways had appointments available and if you has any issues with your braces then they can get you in to fix the issue. I will say before your braces come off if you need to get your wisdom teeth taken out then do so. Also wear your retainer after like they say. My teeth are still strait my sisters are now back to being crooked. The wisdom teeth came though and push her teeth and caused her to now need braces again. This place is great and will meet your dental needs and its a great atmosphere for tween/teens!

I have seen a lot of Dr Luce's patients coming through our office as well as many other Otho practices. We have referred out our patients to her and with good reason. This Is why I have decided her office to be my Dr to use the Invisilign system. I had braces, full band, as a kid. Now 60, I needed redirection of migrating teeth to correct bite and improve smile. If you're child or you need correction even if you're retiring, do this . You deserve and it's so so easy. I live in Lake Geneva now. Worth the drive. Covid Time. My daughter, 5 years old, needed some work done because her baby tooth in front never formed correctly causing it to be decayed and infected. For months, we could not find a good doctor in our network. We must have overlooked Forest the first time. Anyway, after the stress of finding a decent provider, we found these guys. They have been nothing but AMAZING! My husband took my daughter to the initial meet and greet consultation. He was blown away by how friendly, quick, and thorough they were. The next day, I got in touch with Denise B, the coordinator, because my daughter needed to be done in the hospital due to her anxiety. Denise wasted NO TIME and submitted the hospital authorization. We were being a little difficult, schedule-wise, since it is hard for my husband and I to take off. They accommodated every change, from start to end. Dr. Anoki was so pleasant to work with. She took excellent care of my daughter! After the surgery, I took my daughter for her follow up appointment, and they got us in and out! I brought donuts because we were so thankful for them and the genuine care the provided. Everyone thanked me, and I didn't meet half of them. Just goes to show how friendly and welcoming they are.
