Just had my lower left rear molar extracted by Dr. Willoughby. The tooth, that contained a root canal, broke off down to the gum line. It was jammed between an impacted wisdom tooth and another capped molar. I experienced no pain throughout the entire procedure, and that includes the shots. Discomfort was negligible at maybe 1.5 on a scale of 1 to 10. The doctor managed to gently wiggle the tooth loose until it came out without breaking it any further. It is unlikely that a less experienced professional could have accomplished this. I was in and out of Dr. Willoughby's office in about 50 minutes. He may be the most polite gentleman I have ever met, and Candy was as nice as she could be. I'm glad I ignored the earlier review. read more

Dr Willoughby and his staff were amazing!!! Dr Willoughby provided quality, safe, and efficient care, which I expect from all medical professional. Dr Willoughby sincere compassion, caring, and respect for my brother are qualities that made his care exceptional. I live in Ohio and my brother lives in Wisconsin, which adds to the challenges to assist with his care. Dr Willoughby and his staff went out of their way to make his office visit an exceptional experience. My brother suffered a stroke over a year ago and has residual speech and mobility issues. He needed a tooth extraction. They adjusted their schedule so he could receive x-rays and extraction in one visit. Unfortunately, Dr Willoughby found another issue that will require care from another medical professional. He and his staff went out of there way to assisted with a referral, etc. Before we left, Dr Willoughby called the facility, where my brother currently residents, to give a timely verbal report and update, to expedite his care. My brother's nurse shared that she was also impressed and amazed with Dr Willoughby's quality and compassion. read more

Recently, I had to go to Dr. Willoughby as my back molar had split and had to be removed. Dr. Willoughby and his assistant were very professional and caring. He made sure I had no pain before extraction and completed the procedure while I stayed comfortable. I was given instructions and told if I had any problems to call at any time. I have to say of all the times I have ever had to have any type of dental work, this is the first time that I have never had any pain after a procedure. I am writing this after the 4th day and still no pain. I haven't had to take any pain medication and I feel good. Dr. Willoughby also called the following day to make sure I was doing okay which I appreciate his concern. I would highly recommend this doctor as he displayed his compassion and caring professionalism. I would also like to add that when my molar had split, I was also getting earaches. I called a number of places to see if I could get some relief by being seen so that I could possibly get taken care of so I would not have so much pain caused by this split tooth. Dr. Willoughby's office was the only office that would fit me in for an appointment to see if he could help me relieve my pain and remove the tooth. All other office said I would have to wait one to two months before I could be seen. I am greatly appreciative that they understood my pain and would make the time for me to be seen sooner. I recently had Dr.willoughby remove an abscessed wisdom tooth. He was extremely patient with me before and during the surgery. He explained the procedure upfront and what to expect. I was very nervous and he put me at ease with his professionalism and knowledge. He was very gentle and took his time making sure my mouth was numb and I was comfortable before he started the extraction. He even kept my wife updated on the procedure. I was completely satisfied with the care and professionalism provided by dr willoughby and hopefully I will never need another tooth pulled, but if it ever arises again, dr willoughby will be the only dentist I will go to from now on. Trust me, he's worth going to. The negative review from that previous patient seemed way off. Even in her complaint it is obvious dr willoughby tried everything he could to help her. She seemed unrealistic and unwilling to cooperate. After the way he went above and beyond for me , I wouldn't take her review seriously. read more

The WORST!!!! I was referred to Dr. Dale Willoughby by my regular dentist. I had a tooth pulled by Dr. Willoughby. I suffered terrible complications. The pain medication Dr. Willoughby prescribed got me very sick. I suffered extreme vertigo and nausea that lasted hours, and the pain never left. It was impossible to speak with Dr. Willoughby. I told him I couldn't take the pain medication and he immediately became defensive and just kept repeating "This isn't my fault. This isn't my fault. There is no way to know how a patient will handle the medication". I wasn't blaming him, I just wanted a solution. What struck me as a terrible lack of professionalism was his defensiveness. He told me I would need to come in to his office each day, to have my gum treated topically. I told him I worked out of town and could not do this. I asked him how long this condition would last. He said "I can't tell you". The pain was terrible and very disruptive. I knew nothing about this condition, and when I asked questions, he never gave me any answers. I had no way of visiting Dr. Willoughby on a daily basis. I couldn't take off of work that much. His response to me was "Then there's nothing I can do for you. I can't help you". I found this to be incredibly irresponsible, callous, dismissive, and unprofessional. I needed follow up care, and found a new dentist close to where I work. He was wonderful, caring, compassionate and committed to taking care of my terrible situation. The new dentist was appalled at how I was treated by Dr. Willoughby, and assured me that I was now in good hands, and that he would never, ever tell a patient "I can't help you". His entire office staff was shocked at the way I had been treated by this creep. I am very grateful for having found this new dentist, and will tell everyone I know to never, ever go to Dr. Dale Willoughby at Washington Dental in Kenosha, WI for anything. EVER. read more

I had #18 and 19 removed due to an infection in 2 teeth that previously had root canals. He made sure I had no pain and proceeded with a complex extraction. I have had 11 teeth removed in my life due to some extra teeth, wisdom teeth, etc. The secret to a successful extraction is feeling comfortable and Dr. Willoughby ensured I was as comfortable as could be under the situation. read more

Dr Willoughby pulled all 4 of my wisdom teeth when I was 16. I had no pain, was eating solid foods the next day. I milked it as long as I could so I could have 3 days off of school but I had no pain and I was really happy with him. No complaints at all. read more
